The Origins Of Code Switching
The origins of code switching go back to the first mention of it in 1948 by Hoijer. He published new
terms which are closed in meaning to code switching known as a phonemic alternation and phonemic
alteration, but none of these terms refers precisely to code switching. After one year, Fries and Pike s
issued a book named Coexistent Phonemic Systems (1949) which discussed a phenomenon of
phonemic alternation between monolingual people. They reached a conclusion says that in any a
signed dialect, two phonemic systems can be existed, for instance the experience was done on a
sample speaks the mazateco language. It showed that the mazatecon finds the sound /nd/ is easier and
better to read it in a form of /nt/ than /nd/. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Silvio Berlusconi a housing construction entrepreneur and...
Silvio Berlusconi a housing construction entrepreneur and television magnate who had previously not
held any form of political office entered the Italian political landscape in March 1994 after years of an
unstable political environment within Italy. Just a year before Berlusconi was catapulted into the
political arena, Italy had dramatically changed the political process in which they voted. In the
referendum of 1993, Italy implemented a diversified electoral structure for the election of both
branches of its bicameral legislature. This changed Italy s political system beyond the realm of
recognition in relation to the voting behaviour of Italians. Voters approved historical changes in the
distribution of votes in Italian elections. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The referendum in 1993 brought about change, not just political change which by its nature is to be
expected but also a change deriving from legality. Across Europe in the early 1990s change was rife,
with the collapse of the Berlin Wall in the late 1980s there was a change in political parties and
politics. With the traditional parties suffering electoral difficulties. Newell argues that the change in
Europe s political landscape led to the direct encouragement of stirrings that lead to a series of vital
judicial investigations of political corruption (Newell,2011)
Investigations into post war Italy is corrupt political system began in 1992 and rapidly highlighted the
dying situation that Italy faced politically. The 1992 investigation which became known as mani pulite
or clean hands led to many members of the Italian parliament being subjected to judicial review.
Towards the end of 1993, there were no less than 251 parliamentarians who were under judicial
investigation by the clean hands team.

growing industry has highly demanded positions across the world. The various tasks and
responsibilities of each career field are detailed. Information regarding the salary and projected growth

Restaurant managers have the task of choosing a team that functions as a working unit. They must be
fluent with product and labor costs. Knowing restaurant demographics aids in reduction product loss
and waste. Managers must listen to their employees and establish a mutual respect. There is also the
need to be technology savvy, and stay current with market trends. Based on the wage information for
food service managers, it does not deter me from pursuing this career field. Based on data, the higher
your degree the more likely you are to have a higher salary (O*NET, 2015). I am planning on
obtaining a bachelor s degree in hospitality management in order to obtain this higher salary, and work
in a more reputable business. I love to entertain people, and see people have a good time. I know
being a Food service manager I can work somewhere where my purpose is to provide people with a
pleasurable experience. I want to have a career that does not feel like work, rather a lifelong passion.
In order to be a successful Food service manager you need to have continuous training. Staying
current on what types of food and drink products are marketable. Knowing how to listen and
effectively communicate with your customers aids in sales. Managers must also stay ServSafe
certified and up to date on OSHA rules and regulations. I believe this would be the perfect career for
me after I graduate. I have a passion for great food and entertaining people. Staying current in food

Advantage Of Montessori Education
In recent years, Montessori Education draws renewed attention from people. One reason that has
attracted the attention of people in Japan is that Souta Fujii, who became the youngest professional
Shogi player the first in history this year was getting a Montessori education in his early childhood.
Although Montessori education itself has drawn attention, people take particular note of the
contributions of Montessori education as a means of establishing character building. In Japan, the
policy of character building has been announced in the revision of kindergarten education guidelines
in 2008. Today, interest in intellectual education for infants is rising and people are faced with the
question of how to deepen and enrich children s learning. To solve this problem, I thought that
Montessori education might be good method for early childhood. I would like to compare Montessori
education which is practiced in two kindergartens in Nagoya city and discuss learner centered
education.

Montessori education was established in Italy more than 100 years ago and is still practiced in many
countries today. According to Maria Montessori, A ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Stonewall Jackson Qualities Of Leadership
Elizabeth Helton Stonewall Jackson in the Shenandoah Valley: A leadership analysis Among the ranks
during the American Civil War stood men such as Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S. Grant that will be
forever remembered for their leadership qualities. One such man earned his nickname, fame, and
popularity during the Civil War as a Confederate general. Thomas Jackson, more commonly known as
Stonewall Jackson, was a brilliant leader who gained the admiration of all who came to know him. He
gained his popularity from his famous Shenandoah Valley campaign in 1862. With integrity beyond
reproach, he successfully provided direction, purpose (though skeptical), and motivation to those
serving below him during the Valley Campaign.
A native born Virginian, Jackson felt that when it came to war, one must fight with all vigor (Wilkins
347), and fight with all vigor is what Jackson did until his death in 1863. He rarely slept or rested, but
instead trudged wearily along with his men. On first appearances and perceptions, Stonewall Jackson
was commonly underestimated. For instance, Jackson s brilliance was often mistaken for insanity.
Richard Taylor called Jackson a damned old crazy fool. A staff officer reportedly said later that when
we ordinary mortals can t comprehend a genius we get even with him by calling him crazy (Gallagher
311). However, the battles fought in the Shenandoah Valley changed the perception of Thomas
Jackson on almost every front.

Heteronormativity In Nbc s Friends
NBC s hit show Friends has become one of the most watched and highly acclaimed sitcoms of all
time. Instead of revolving around family and work, like prior sitcoms such as Family Matters and Full
House, Friends changed it up and revolutionized the sitcom landscape by featuring six 20 30 year old
friends living in the New York City borough of Manhattan as they attempt to discover themselves.
From the constant change of careers, whether it was getting laid off or promoted, to going from
relying on their parents to being completely on their own, Friends is able to relate to so many and

Compulsory heterosexuality refers to the idea that women and men are innately attracted to each other
emotionally and sexually and that heterosexuality is normal and universal (Rich, 1). I have evaluated
two episodes of Friends that display this phenomenon in which the main characters assume that
heterosexuality is the norm, which often leads to prejudice and stereotyping. Through these
assumptions based off of compulsory heterosexuality, Friends displays evident heteronormativity. The
first example of compulsory heterosexuality occurs in the pilot episode of the series. In the beginning
of this episode, Ross, one of the main male characters, is seen complaining about his divorce as the
rest of his friends try to comfort him with jokes and sympathy. Eventually, Ross questions the group

Surrogacy In Australia
Simply, surrogacy involves an agreement between a commissioning couple and a woman, known as
the surrogate, who agrees to bear a child for the commissioning couple, and once the baby is born, will
give the baby to the commissioning couple. Often this involves the use of sperm and/or ova from the
commissioning couple which are conceived to the surrogate using birth technologies. The act of
commercial surrogacy is illegal in Australia, however in certain states and the Northern Territory it is
still legal to travel overseas to seek out such services commercially. The Australian couple the article

UNC Communication Problems
Language and communication problems may lead to patient dissatisfaction, poor comprehension and
adherence, and lower quality of care. This is very important for the
UNC organization and their increasing population of immigrants from Ghana and Nigeria. In Ghana,
more than 250 languages and dialects are spoken (ghanaembassy.nl, n.d.) with 520 being spoken in
Nigeria (ethnologue.com, n.d.). This organization is meeting the CLAS Standards of 5, 6, 7 by

By decreasing the obesity rate, the patient health outcome is increased through nutrition, healthier
diets, and education. It can lower health care costs because of the potential of decreased chronic
diseases related to obesity. This can have a huge impact on a community struggling under poverty.
Children growing up healthier because of diet changes and education initiatives taught early on can
impact the organization by achieving a health care goal of ultimately improve the long term health of a
community. Another benefit is in the organization s efforts in cultural diversity and the African
American community. Through community education and hospital programs, UNC is meeting the
need for a greater cultural competency for the increased ethnic patient population. In an era of
increasing patient choice, hospitals must focus on improving care to retain patients and increase
patient satisfaction. Cultural competency builds trust and understanding between patients and
providers. Being culturally competent and providing language assistance are valuable tools in the
process to provide quality care for diverse populations. Increased patient morale and trust comes from
being understood, respected and being treated with culturally competent care. Trust translates into a
long term relationship between the patient and the hospital. A more satisfied patient will lead to

Symptoms and Effects of Primary Insomnia Essay
Symptoms and Effects of Primary Insomnia The APA Dictionary of Pscyhology defines insomnia as a
difficulty in initiating or maintaining a restorative sleep that results in fatigue, the severity of
persistence of which causes clinically significant distress or impairment in functioning (VandenBos,
2007, p. 485). The pineal gland in the brain produces melatonin that works with circadian rhythms,
which in time help control sleep (Gillam, 2009). By use of polysomnography, researchers find that a
possible cause of insomina is a longer period of stage 1 sleep and shorter periods of stages 3 and 4.
The disorder predominantly exists among young adults and middle aged people. Population surveys
indicate a 1 year prevalence of insomnia ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Genetics link to the development of insomnia, but researchers have an uncertainty of how strong the
relationship (DSM IV TR, 2000).
The DSM IV TR (2000) states that insomnia generally affects women and older people; older people
and men have trouble staying asleep, and younger people normally have trouble achieving sleep.
Insomnia usually begins from a stress triggering element. Symptoms causes by the element may get
worse and lead to insomnia (DSM IV TR, 2000). Studies have conveyed two main concepts related to
insomnia: physiological, emotional and cognitive activation and how intense stress affects the person
who goes through times of hardship. If insomnia continues without prevention, it may cause other
disorders such as depression (Alexandru, B. V., Róbert, B., Viorel, L., Vasile, B. 2009, p. 68).
Treatments
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and pharmacotherapy start the list of the many treatments for
insomnia. Cognitive behavior treatments aim toward adjusting participants thoughts of insomnia and
calming them (Alexandru, 2009). According to studies, CBT is effective for improving insomnia
symptoms in 70 80% of patients, and also has long term effects on the prevention of recurrence
(Okajima, I., Komada, Y., Inoue, Y. 2011, p. 24). Although pharmacotherapy is used more frequently,
it is not confirmed effective (Okajima, 2011). Alexandru (2009) compared a control group and a CBT
group. The CBT group s sleep improved more that the control

Sean Lowe and the People of New York v. Keesshawn Nesbitt. In People v. Lowe, the court decided
on January 13, 2015, that Lowe was guilty of endangering the welfare of a child under Penal Law §
260.10(1). On June 28, 2014, after a firefighter could not immediately revive the defendant on a
public street while his two children in his care, one of the children being supervised by a stranger on
the street and the other missing according to the defendant himself, it was finally established from an
EMT technician called to the scene that Lowe was highly intoxicated under the influence of a
controlled substance. Both the EMT technician and firefighter smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic
beverage emanating from the defendant; however, when they reported it the firefighter only mentioned
that the defendant seemed under the influence of a controlled substance. For this reason, Lowe tried to
fight the case by using that as a Misdemeanor Complaint but it failed to be converted into one,
because the information of the eyewitnesses, using either terminology, was facially sufficient. Next in
order, in People v. Nesbitt, the court decided on September 17, 2015, that the defendant was guilty
after a deponent witnessed him enter an informants car without permission while carrying a backpack
with an unlicensed imitation firearm/air pistol, pellets for an air pistol, and a bullet proof vest inside.
The air pistol apparently looked, felt, and weighed the same as a real pistol with a propelling force of
air and not orange rubber stop on the tip. The court decided that under Penal Law § 165.05 Nesbitt is
criminalized due to unauthorized vehicle usage despite whether or not he did or intended to operate
the vehicle, along with the Administrative Code of the City of New York § 10 131 (g) (1) that

Summary Of Women In Annawadi
2. In the novel, women in Annawadi don t have lots of freedom and rights. They are mistreated and
every family living in Annawadi dislikes each other because they are corrupted by greed and money.
Even in the urban slums, women like Zehrunisa and Asha wouldn t have more freedom because
women can t have a voice for themselves unless they have connections to other, more powerful
people. Other women dislike and spit hate at Zehrunisa and Asha because they are more successful
than them, rather than trying to work with them to be successful together. Since the people in
Annawadi are so corrupted by money, they disregard for others wellbeing and resort to fighting or
trash talk each other. For women, they are a burden for parents because of marriage and dowry. That is
why mothers and fathers want their daughters to be perfect, with no scars or anything that would
prevent them to get married. All the engagement is determined at a young age, so girls can not find
love for themselves. Meena s future in laws might not come to hear that they d chosen an impetuous
bride. (Boo 188). When Meena, a young Annawadi girl, tried to commit suicide with rat poison
because she hated the life she was living, her brother beat her up because now there would be less
chance for Meena to get married. Rather than the townspeople helping Meena, the were ashamed of
her and worried for her reputation than her health. In my view, the freedoms that the women in

Women in Sports and Sports Broadcasting Essay
Women in Sports and Sports Broadcasting
Before I conducted this media analysis about women in sports and sport broadcasting, I hypothesized
the obvious that more male sports would be in the media, and that there would be more male sports
broadcasters as well. Through my observations I did find that the sports arena and sports broadcasting
sphere are male dominated. However, I also found that although there are not many stories about
women, there has been a steady progression and magazines like Sports Illustrated are becoming bold
enough to highlight women athletes in a magazine that is targeted towards a male audience. Although
women still have a long way to go, they are making some headway into the male dominated sports
arena. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The only empowering story I found was a feature about the Notre Dame vs. UCLA women?s soccer
match?and this only contained a picture and a brief summary of the game. Most print media sports
stories are written by men?even the articles that are about women. This shows that males dominate the
journalism field in general. It is funny that men can be experts on women and women in sport. This
might also show that men are interested in women?s sport, realizing that the women?s sport
movement is an important movement and should be given some credit.
On all four of the news broadcasts I watched, men dominated the broadcasting. With the exception of
the Merril Lynch Celebrity Ski Classic Cup, which had two male broadcasters and two female
reporters, the broadcasts were either male dominated (with one woman reporter) or only contained
men. I found that sports such as skiing or running exhibit more gender equality than male dominated
sports like football, baseball or basketball.
Women have come a long way, and are actually beginning to find a more significant place in sports
media. Men are starting to take women more seriously?both on the field and in the news station. I was
ecstatic to read a SI letter to the editor, written by a man that read, ??Maybe we should show a little
respect for the women?s accomplishment? (SI, November 2004)?it gave me hope. Through this
analysis, I gained a stronger appreciation for sports media, and became more optimistic about women

Off-Grid Lifestyle
My wife and I have been living a self sufficient, off the grid lifestyle for the last six years. We
switched from a modern suburban lifestyle outside of Chicago to a remote, rural mountain one. Our
decision didn t happen quickly, most of it was over a fifty year period. I made my living as an artist
and professional musician and my wife was in the corporate arena; not exactly pre requisite
experience for living off the grid. Successfully changing from an urban/suburban way of living to a
rural self sufficient life is first and foremost a conscious and committed change of lifestyle. The two
books that most influenced our decision were The Good Life by Scott and Helen Nearing, they made a
similar decision and lifestyle change at the same ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, if you have already developed diabetes, you may wonder whether the lifestyle changes that
could have prevented diabetes will gain you anything. The answer is yes: the same lifestyle changes
that might have prevented your diabetes can help you to treat it. As important as lifestyle is in causing
diabetes, it may be even more important in treating type diabetes, as well as diabetes. Diabetes is
unique chronic disease, affected by virtually every aspect of lifestyle, including eating, physical
activity, and school, work, and travel schedule. Conversely, all of these activities are affected by
diabetes. While many diseases require attention to taking prescribed medications, diabetes demands
constant attention and vigilance with regard no timing and content of meals and physical activity,
glucose monitoring, administration of numerous medications including insulin, foot care, and a host of
other self care requirements. And diabetes can be a petulant, jealous companion; if you ignore your
care, even for a little while, it will make you pay with uncomfortable and potentially dangerous
hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia. And if you don t pay attention to the myriad details of care over a
long period of time, the penalty can be much more severe with loss of vision, kidney failure, foot
ulcers, amputations and heart disease. On the bright side, during the past two decades, clinical trials
have shown us that persons with diabetes can live long, productive, and complication free lives.
Studies in diabetes have demonstrated how to achieve near normal blood glucose levels. In addition,
we have developed effective interventions to lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels in people
with diabetes. The consequence of such tight glucose, blood pressure, and cholesterol control is
improved long term health. Blood sugar levels maintained in the near normal range over

Pozdnyshev s Self-Knowledge And The Limitations Of Narrative
Pozdnyshev wife s life altered after bearing children beginning to develop independent hobbies, such
as playing the piano, which sparks Pozdnyshev s jealousy. Before taking up her hobbies, she brings a
notion to her husband that in the world, the only thing worthy of attention [is] love (Tolstoy 42). She
feels that she lacks love in her marriage, which results her to devote herself passionately to the piano,
which had formerly stood forgotten in the corner (Tolstoy 42) to make up for lost love. Afterwards,
their arguments became more intense, and Pozdnyshev becomes polluted by jealousy (Tolstoy 42)
once his wife s attention is no longer on him, knowing that he is losing control of the mastery of the
gaze. According to Jeanette Bicknell, the author of the scholarly article Self Knowledge and the
Limitations of Narrative, she views Pozdnyshev s ignorance of his own emotional states and unhappy
marriage could stem from a lack of self knowledge (Bicknell 409). He expresses his fear of losing the
mastery of the gaze through anger, stemming not from unhealthy attitudes toward sexuality, but from
his frustration at his inability to control his own desire, and at his inability of controlling his wife s
body (Bicknell 409). By getting angry with her for taking up hobbies, he doesn t see her as a human
being, but an object that always needs to be managed by him through the mastery of the gaze. Without
being able to control her, he loses grasp of the gaze, which results in

South Korea An Attractive Market For Australian Beef
Is South Korea an attractive market for Australian beef? This paper will examine the Australian beef
market, and whether it is an attractive market for South Korea to import from. An analysis of the
current Australian and South Korean beef industries; the conditions required to produce beef most
efficiently, following the Heckscher Ohlin Model; tariffs that are involved with these trades, and the
impact of the Korea Australia Free Trade Agreement; environmental implications to Australia; as well
as the cultural environment and geographic factor, will be discussed to determine whether South
Korea is an attractive market for Australian beef. Australia s primary exports lie in natural resources
and agricultural commodities (Siriwardana, 2015). The Australian beef industry is the sixth largest
exporter in the world where average beef exports from Australia are approximately 1.3 million tonnes,
amounting to approximately 65% of total beef production (Tozer and Marsh, 2012). In a global
context, Australia is the sixth largest beef producer and the second largest beef exporter, therefore it
would be most efficient for Australia to trade with other nations who produce and export beef less
effectively (Meat Livestock Australia, 2016). Following the Heckscher Ohlin Model, Australia is a
competitive market due to suitable conditions for beef manufacturing. Land is one such advantage.
Australia has both a large quantity and the appropriate quality of land for having livestock and

I applaud Holland s role as Peter Parker because he could be a lazy student and at the same time, a
great hero who could save the city. It had some entertaining actions which won t lead the audience to
be bored. Their all act naturally. They have the facial expression that is right for the character they are
portraying. The plot have some great twists which we never knew would happen or would even shock
us like Adrian Toomes being revealed as Liz s father. These special effects even made the movie more
interesting and colorful. In terms of script, those were so hilarious. They minimized saying foul words.
They said the script clearly so that we could understand what they are saying. Overall, I give the
movie a 4 stars over 5. This is one the best movies I have ever watched in cinemas. From start to
finish, it was hilarious. From Peter Parker s vlog until Aunt May discovered Peter being Spiderman.
The line If you are nothing without that suit, then you shouldn t have it. It means that if you are
nothing without something, you shouldn t have that. The explanation of that is that if you want to be
successful, you should not say that you are nothing without something. You could still contribute
without that thing. It teaches us to be your self. Just because you don t have that thing with you doesn t
mean that you are completely nothing. It could be a test for you whether you can do good without that

Upon arrival in Kentucky, Daniel Boone and his men began the construction of temporary log huts,

who choose to talk about the subject eventually give up because they saw no immediate results or any
progress at all. As stated before some chose to ignore the issue because they felt it was the easy way
out and had fear of their own lives as well. Especially, the residents of Ciudad Juarez were in fear to
speak of it because they felt they would put their lives endangered. However, to truly understand the
severity and seriousness of this subject like many other issues you need to have some idea of how and
why it started and the history or facts surrounding the issue. That is why the main focus is finding the
factors that may have contributed to the recurring murders of women in Ciudad Juarez. Moreover, the
effects of the murders on the victim families, the public in general, and the city. Also finding if there
were any motives behind the murders of the women. Lastly, finding if there are any solutions for the

What Makes A Beautiful Machine
A beautiful, magnificent machine I use to this year of 2015 known as the cellular device holds every
speck of my information and life in a box that fits in the palm of my hand. If this minuscule box is
broken some people will replace this box before putting food on the table. Humans have become as
one with technology as we rely on our electrically charged device to be no further than a hand reach
out of one s sight. As of 2015 my technological world consists of entertainment, connections, and
utilities.
Now there are plenty of distractions out there in the world. Humans love to call it entertainment.
Music and films are the biggest of all, making industries billions every year. These industries strive to
achieve the greatest amount of audience. How you ask, quite simply. People gather around making up
stories for songs and films each of which has their own genre. These people love to express their
emotions through other actors and actresses that perform the imaginary acts in the director s mind. A
film is produced and people gather in theaters to watch. Another type of entertainment comes from
songs where people express their emotions through their vocal cords. Technology allows this
expression of emotions to take a whole new dimensional path leading to the creation of music videos
and music. Humans virtually gather to listen and watch the music and dance moves.
None of the music videos or films could be produced without cameras and video tape recorders. These

so drinking lots of fluids is the best advice, Kuchan said. According to Kuchan, there are not many

The Causes Of Civil War
Solomon Otubo Asst. Proff. Gülay Uğuru Göksel
What are the causes of Civil War? Do ethnic determinants play an important role? Why are certain
parts of Africa characterized by ethnic conflict while other parts remain relatively calm?
The conventional understanding on the causes of civil war especially within African countries, to a
considerable degree, has being predominantly characterized to draw its root on ethnic divergences.
However, such premise appear extremely difficult to be true, owing to the fact that civil war is a
complex action and requires the interplay of different variables to make it visible. Nonetheless, the
role of ethnic differences in determining civil war cannot be overemphasized. But generalizing ethnic
differences as a prime factor that result to civil war sounds unreasonable irrespective of what the
actors pretend or claim to have motivated them. For instance, all most every country in Africa is multi
ethnic oriented state, and in such a cross cultural environment, it is usual for the minority to lay claim
of being short changed either one way or the other. However not all the African countries have
witnessed civil war. Within such context one can draw a logical conclusion that there are other
variables which directly or indirectly play an interwoven role with ethnicism, or hide under the
umbrella of ethnic diversities to cause civil war.
In this paper I will develop a constructive model which shows the correlation of different variables as

African American Vernacular English (Aave)
African American Vernacular English
The United States of America is one of the world s most ethnically diverse and multicultural nations.
Even though there is not an official national language, most Americans speak Standard American
English (SAE). However, the most prevalent native English vernacular dialect in the United States is
African American Vernacular English (AAVE). According to Sharon Vaughn, AAVE is a dialect used
by some African Americans (110). In order to examine AAVE, one must explore the origins,
grammatical features, and prominent resolutions, which created a precedent for educating students that
speak dialects other than Standard American English.

Wolfram notes that double negatives are never interpreted as positives (305). An AAVE speaker may
say, Wasn t nobody in there but me and him to express that no one was in there but him and me.
The final and most recognizable trait of AAVE is the use of the habitual be. The habitual be conveys
events that happen routinely. Jack Sidnell offers several examples in African American Vernacular
English Ebonics. He illustrates, Standard English present perfect: He has been married. AAVE been:
He been married (Sidnell). In the Standard English sentence the implication is that, he is now no
longer married. However, in the AAVE sentence the implication is quite the opposite: he is still
married. The four above mentioned grammatical features are not the only rules that AAVE speakers
follow, but these rules are the most common and recognizable traits of AAVE.
As aforementioned, AAVE is the most prevalent native English vernacular in America. Consequently,
educators often encounter AAVE speakers and writers in their classrooms. Educators must inform
students that their home language is not Standard American English and create effective classroom
methods to educate non native SAE speakers. Faced with these constant occurrences, the Conference
on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) issued a statement on students rights to their
own language. The resolution states:

Therefore, since independence, the main objective of Pakistan s foreign policy has been to protect its
territorial integrity against a possible attack from India to ensure national security from external
threats. An important aspect of Pakistan s foreign policy is that its relations with India mainly
determine its attitude towards the other nations. It has conjured up threat from India, and by constantly
harping on its fear of India; Pakistan has tried to win the sympathy of the superpowers. However, the
basic force behind Pakistan foreign policy is its security and survival, both economic and military.
However, the very nature of the state system breeds feelings of insecurity, distrust, suspicion, and fear.
This atmosphere produces a constant competition for power in which each state, to reduce its
insecurity, seeks to enhance its power relative to that of a possible foe. If a state perceives its
neighbour as a potential enemy, it tries to deter an attack or political coercion by becoming a little
stronger than its neighbour, or at least as strong. The neighbour, in turn, also fears attack or political
intimidation. It understands that its best interests lie in increasing its strength to forestall either
contingency or, if necessary, in winning a war, should matters go that far.
There was very strong perception among the Congress leaders that Pakistan is not economically viable

Frogs and Wasps by Aristophanes
In the Frogs and Wasps written by the eminently best comedian of the fifth century, Aristophanes, we
see he utilized humour to exact the important message that Athens is corrupt, and on the verge of
chaos. The Athenian audience would expect to be thrust into a world of humour in the City Dionysia,
somewhere parallel to their own (e.g. the Athenian jury in the Wasps , and the failings of the
government in Frogs ). It is vital, then, that Aristophanes conveys his political and social views
through slapstick, farce, and caricature to interest the audience. This is an important component in
both plays as the audience is able to simultaneously accept his diplomatic views whilst being
entertained. After all his main point for producing his plays were to produce something with a little
fable, with a moral .
The Wasps is an absurd play, and in most of the parts, we see a lot of satiric, scatological parody in a
viciously Anti Cleon portrayal of the judicial system. Aristophanes intent is didactic (lesson like) as he
teaches his political view that Cleon s aggression towards Sparta would lead to war. Comedy was key
to the portrayal of his political message about the judicial system as it was a very serious idea;
therefore it is a key component in lightening up his difficult to swallow ideas. The comedy is initiated
with three simultaneous attacks at Cleonymus. Firstly, the simple effect of a pun is used, as the word
aspis has the double meaning of a snake as well as a

Plea Bargain Analysis
The most common thing that is done when defendants are sentenced, is that they are heard in front of
a judge to receive their punishment for their conviction. Another alternative would be a plea bargain, a
plea bargain is when a defendant pleads guilty in order to receive a lesser or their charges could be

the offer. Now that Mario has been charged with two counts, which are possession, driving under the

Thesis Statement Of Compulsory Licensing
Different legal cultures are actually the most significant determinant to define the role of compulsory
licensing, especially in the aspect of a remedy for anticompetitive conduct. Absence of specific
guidance from Congress about how courts should issue a decree ordering a compulsory license,
procompetitve outlook dominated policy makers opinions in the U.S. in the 1950 s. How to construct a
purposive interpretation of Antitrust law also depends on the attitudes of policy makers, while
surprisingly, there was a period courts showed hostility towards patent enforcement lasted until 1970

One reason that has attracted the attention of people in Japan is that Souta Fujii, who became the youngest professional Shogi player the first in history this year was getting a Montessori education in his early childhood. Although Montessori education itself has drawn attention, people take particular note of the contributions of Montessori education as a means of establishing character building. In Japan, the policy of character building has been announced in the revision of kindergarten education guidelines in 2008. Today, interest in intellectual education for infants is rising and people are faced with the question of how to deepen and enrich children s learning. To solve this problem, I thought that Montessori education might be good method for early childhood. I would like to compare Montessori education which is practiced in two kindergartens in Nagoya city and discuss learner centered education. Montessori Method Montessori education was established in Italy more than 100 years ago and is still practiced in many countries today. According to Maria Montessori, A ... Stonewall Jackson Qualities Of Leadership Elizabeth Helton Stonewall Jackson in the Shenandoah Valley: A leadership analysis Among the ranks during the American Civil War stood men such as Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S. Grant that will be forever remembered for their leadership qualities. One such man earned his nickname, fame, and popularity during the Civil War as a Confederate general. Thomas Jackson, more commonly known as Stonewall Jackson, was a brilliant leader who gained the admiration of all who came to know him. He gained his popularity from his famous Shenandoah Valley campaign in 1862. With integrity beyond reproach, he successfully provided direction, purpose (though skeptical), and motivation to those serving below him during the Valley Campaign. A native born Virginian, Jackson felt that when it came to war, one must fight with all vigor (Wilkins 347), and fight with all vigor is what Jackson did until his death in 1863. He rarely slept or rested, but instead trudged wearily along with his men. On first appearances and perceptions, Stonewall Jackson was commonly underestimated. For instance, Jackson s brilliance was often mistaken for insanity. Richard Taylor called Jackson a damned old crazy fool. A staff officer reportedly said later that when we ordinary mortals can t comprehend a genius we get even with him by calling him crazy (Gallagher 311). However, the battles fought in the Shenandoah Valley changed the perception of Thomas Jackson on almost every front. The Shenandoah ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The pineal gland in the brain produces melatonin that works with circadian rhythms, which in time help control sleep (Gillam, 2009). On June 28, 2014, after a firefighter could not immediately revive the defendant on a public street while his two children in his care, one of the children being supervised by a stranger on the street and the other missing according to the defendant himself, it was finally established from an EMT technician called to the scene that Lowe was highly intoxicated under the influence of a controlled substance. Both the EMT technician and firefighter smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the defendant; however, when they reported it the firefighter only mentioned that the defendant seemed under the influence of a controlled substance. For this reason, Lowe tried to fight the case by using that as a Misdemeanor Complaint but it failed to be converted into one, because the information of the eyewitnesses, using either terminology, was facially sufficient. Australia s primary exports lie in natural resources and agricultural commodities (Siriwardana, 2015). The Australian beef industry is the sixth largest exporter in the world where average beef exports from Australia are approximately 1.3 million tonnes, amounting to approximately 65% of total beef production (Tozer and Marsh, 2012). In her efforts to relay her emotions she utilizes a variety of literary devices such as vivid imagery, assonance and biblical allusions. The poem gives description of how she felt during the very event, how she feels as she passes the ruins of her once erect household and how she came to the realization that she would get through the experience with God by her side. The poem (as per usual of Anne Bradstreet) employs rhyming couplets, these were used to apply emphasize on her attachment towards her house but then is later used to give awareness to the fact that all earthly things pass away leaving nothing ... [A hangover] is when you wake up after probably one of the best nights of your life, but you feel like a bag of poop and recently got run over by a train, nursing student Laura Gurke at University of Wisconsin Oshkosh said. For years many have tried to determine what exactly constitutes a hangover, but there are theories that it is caused from dehydration to not eating enough before drinking. • 33. The Causes Of Civil War Solomon Otubo Asst. Proff. Gülay Uğuru Göksel What are the causes of Civil War? Do ethnic determinants play an important role? Why are certain parts of Africa characterized by ethnic conflict while other parts remain relatively calm? The conventional understanding on the causes of civil war especially within African countries, to a considerable degree, has being predominantly characterized to draw its root on ethnic divergences. However, such premise appear extremely difficult to be true, owing to the fact that civil war is a complex action and requires the interplay of different variables to make it visible. Nonetheless, the role of ethnic differences in determining civil war cannot be overemphasized. But generalizing ethnic differences as a prime factor that result to civil war sounds unreasonable irrespective of what the actors pretend or claim to have motivated them. For instance, all most every country in Africa is multi ethnic oriented state, and in such a cross cultural environment, it is usual for the minority to lay claim of being short changed either one way or the other. However not all the African countries have witnessed civil war. Within such context one can draw a logical conclusion that there are other variables which directly or indirectly play an interwoven role with ethnicism, or hide under the umbrella of ethnic diversities to cause civil war. In this paper I will develop a constructive model which shows the correlation of different variables as the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

An AAVE speaker may say, Wasn t nobody in there but me and him to express that no one was in there but him and me. The final and most recognizable trait of AAVE is the use of the habitual be. The habitual be conveys events that happen routinely. Jack Sidnell offers several examples in African American Vernacular English Ebonics. He illustrates, Standard English present perfect: He has been married. AAVE been: He been married (Sidnell). In the Standard English sentence the implication is that, he is now no longer married. However, in the AAVE sentence the implication is quite the opposite: he is still married. The four above mentioned grammatical features are not the only rules that AAVE speakers follow, but these rules are the most common and recognizable traits of AAVE. As aforementioned, AAVE is the most prevalent native English vernacular in America. Consequently, educators often encounter AAVE speakers and writers in their classrooms. Educators must inform students that their home language is not Standard American English and create effective classroom methods to educate non native SAE speakers. An important aspect of Pakistan s foreign policy is that its relations with India mainly determine its attitude towards the other nations. It has conjured up threat from India, and by constantly harping on its fear of India; Pakistan has tried to win the sympathy of the superpowers. However, the basic force behind Pakistan foreign policy is its security and survival, both economic and military. However, the very nature of the state system breeds feelings of insecurity, distrust, suspicion, and fear. This atmosphere produces a constant competition for power in which each state, to reduce its insecurity, seeks to enhance its power relative to that of a possible foe. If a state perceives its neighbour as a potential enemy, it tries to deter an attack or political coercion by becoming a little stronger than its neighbour, or at least as strong. The neighbour, in turn, also fears attack or political intimidation. • 38. Frogs and Wasps by Aristophanes In the Frogs and Wasps written by the eminently best comedian of the fifth century, Aristophanes, we see he utilized humour to exact the important message that Athens is corrupt, and on the verge of chaos. The Athenian audience would expect to be thrust into a world of humour in the City Dionysia, somewhere parallel to their own (e.g. the Athenian jury in the Wasps , and the failings of the government in Frogs ). It is vital, then, that Aristophanes conveys his political and social views through slapstick, farce, and caricature to interest the audience. This is an important component in both plays as the audience is able to simultaneously accept his diplomatic views whilst being entertained. After all his main point for producing his plays were to produce something with a little fable, with a moral . The Wasps is an absurd play, and in most of the parts, we see a lot of satiric, scatological parody in a viciously Anti Cleon portrayal of the judicial system. Aristophanes intent is didactic (lesson like) as he teaches his political view that Cleon s aggression towards Sparta would lead to war. Comedy was key to the portrayal of his political message about the judicial system as it was a very serious idea; therefore it is a key component in lightening up his difficult to swallow ideas. The comedy is initiated with three simultaneous attacks at Cleonymus. Firstly, the simple effect of a pun is used, as the word aspis has the double meaning of a snake as well as a ...
