• Siddhantas of thescience are like deep roots of tree which will always tightly hold
the huge tree of Ayurveda.
• Siddhantas are the scientific parameters to understand the wide variety of
situations and to suggest specific actions.
• Now here these siddhantas are applied on concept of rasayana.
• Rasayana tantra is one of the important anga(branch) among ashtanga Ayurveda.
• Rasayana comprises preventive promotive and curative aspect of health. It is a
method that promote healthy aging through specific drugs, formulation, dietary
and lifestyle.

• Place where kuti is to be constructed-
1. The place where Raja, Vaidya, Brahmana, sadu who are doing punya karma stays.
2. The place where there is no fear floods, no grave yards etc.
3. Where we get all the products that is needed for chikitsa.

• Measurements and condition of kuti
1. Height and width should be sufficient space.
2. 3 garbha- 3 interior chambers one after the other and rooms should have narrow ventilators.
3. walls should be thick.
4. The kuti should be pleasant to reside in all season.
5. Also there should be provision to do the activities.
6. The kuti should be liked by patient who is going to reside.
7. The sounds should not enter the kuti. i.e sound proof.
8. Ladies should not enter the kuti
9. The materials inside the kuti also should be liked by the patients and those are used by Brahmana,
Vaidya, sadu.

Shodhana for kutipraveshika Patients
1. After proper snehana and swedana the patient is given harithaki churna with
saindava lavana, amalaki, guda, vacha, haridra, pippali, shunti, anupana is hot water
for proper shodhana.
2. After proper shodhana the person is advised samsarjana krama.
3. Then for 3 or 5 or 7 days Yava preparation is given along with ghee according to the
shodhana till the purana mala is evacuated.
4. Now seeing vaya, prakruthi, satmya rasayana are selected and given to patient.

All morbidity arise due to domestic food in those eating sour, saline, pungent, alkaline, dried vegetables, meat, sesame, sesame paste and preparation of (rice) flour, germinated or fresh, awned or leguminous cereals, incompatible, unsuitable, rough, alkaline and channel blocking substances, decomposed, heavy, putrefied, and staled food items, indulging in irregular diet or eating while the previous food is undigested, day sleep, women and wine, performing irregular and excessive physical exercise causing agitation in the body, affected with fear, anger, grief, greed, confusion and exhaustion. Because of this the muscles get laxed, joints get loosened, blood gets burnt, fat becomes abundant and liquefied, marrow does not mature in bones, semen does not manifest and ojas deteriorates. Thus, the person subdued with malaise, depression, sleep, drowsiness, lassitude, lack of enthusiasm, dyspnea, incapability in physical and mental activities, loss of memory, intellect and luster, becomes resort of illness and thus does not enjoy the normal life span. Hence looking to these defects, one should abstain from all the said unwholesome diet and activities so that he becomes fit for using the rasayana treatment- saying this Lord Punarvasu Atreya further added.
