With 38 years of professional experience As Subcontracts Engineer, Field Engineer,
Lead Designer and Designer out of which 8 Years as Subcontracts Engineer.
Throughout the experience involved with Quantity Survey, I could contribute my
expertise to the team of the organization.
Presently left TECHNIP Abu Dhabi, since 01-April-2016 due less work load and
prevailing Oil & Gas industry conditions.

Responsibilities.
As a Subcontracts Engineer :
The long time experience in Engineering and in Quantity Surveying is an
added advantage to Subcontracts where it is required to deal with Client and
Subcontractor on Engineering issues in addition to contractual issues.
• Supervise the activities and be responsible for the performance of the
Construction Administration Group.
• Advice Department Manager, Coordinate on all matters concerning Contract
Administration, Claims, Disputes, Contract Interpretation and Cost Analysis.
• Perform an ongoing function of monitoring contract documents.
• Liaise with the Procurement Department to provide Construction input for the
purpose of producing practical, workable & contractually sound procurement
process..
• Assure usefulness and participate in the review of Construction procedures and
all other Departmental Project procedures. Review and check change order
packages, analyze contractor claims, subcontractor/supplier approvals and
other related reports.
• Prepare responses to Subcontractor's correspondences in a timely manner.
• Execute special studies and prepare letters/memos for Manager/Director of
Construction.
• Execute studies of Contracts with Client and advise HO Contracts Manger.
• Prepare employee performance evaluations, conduct career discussions.
Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of contract administration, home office and field
procedures and documents relating to a multi-discipline construction project and
Contractual terms with Client and advise home office contracts department on
change order requests to Clients.
• Sufficient experience in Contracts Administration including proven experience in
claims and knowledge of contract conditions.
• Working knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices,
applicable government and commercial regulations and practices, and
TECHNIP policies, procedures and work practices..
As a Site Engineer/Lead Designer/Designer with Engineering Team
• Participate in Project Estimations during the Proposal of any Project.
• Estimating the Man-hours for the Drawing office requirements of any size of
Project.
• Preparation of Conceptual/Feed designs for Civil, Structural and Underground
services
• Technical management of designers and draftsmen team. Assignment and
coordination of activities within the team to execute the design related
activities of assigned projects
• Identification of issues which are liable to affect man hours and/or completion of
deliverables and reporting to Lead Engineer
• Ensure that no work outside the original scope is undertaken without approval
from the Lead Engineer

• Participate in tuition and guidance of local staff
• Providing technical expertise to the task force and enforcing quality assurance
requirements of company and client
• Ensuring that the design is carried out as per the industry standard practices
and in conformance with the quality management system of TPAUH
• Contribute to the integration of project related data and client comments into civil
structural drawings
• Liaise and co-operate with other disciplines
• Participating in Internal and External Audits as required
• Assimilating the evolution of new products and technology, and updating oneself
on the latest international standards in terms of engineering design practices
and their applications
• Conforming and contributing to the Discipline technical standards, knowledge
database and Quality Procedures. Identifying new methodology of work process
required for higher productivity
• Contributing towards, maintaining and implementing both company and client
HSE Management system objectives and procedures
• Complying with the applicable company procedures for the Engineering
Department and the Structural Discipline
• Conduct site surveys and produce related reports
As a Field Engineer: Civil, Structural and Underground services (Engineering)
• Site Engineering solutions and issuing required Site Modification Drawings,
Coordinating with PMC and Client Representatives and site surveys.
• Coordinating with Structural steel suppliers.
• Selecting local structural steel suppliers, prepare & issuing shop drawings and
follow up of supplies.
• Punch Lists : Closing of all punch lists applicable for Engineering after
implementing the punch list requirements or with explanations for not
implementing.
OUTSIDE TECHNIP:
Engaged with the Projects inclusive of Water Treatment plant, Cement Plants,
Pharmaceuticals, Petro Chemical Plants, Commercial & Housing Complexes,
Stadiums, Industrial-complex Structures, Oil & Gas, Refinery and Gas treatment plant.
For FEED & EPC Projects and Previously employed by STORK OMAN (COMPRIMO) on
PDO Projects.
In India engaged with Larsen & Toubro, SPIC and other Leading Architects &
Consulting Engineers through own Freelancing consultancy at Chennai.
