This document presents a study on the rainfall erosivity index for Nashik, India. The objectives are to determine the rainfall erosivity index for Nashik District and develop relationships between rainfall amounts and erosivity index. The methodology analyzes rain gauge data from 2008-2012 to calculate the kinetic energy and erosivity index of storms using 30-minute rainfall intensity. Monthly, seasonal, and annual rainfall data is analyzed to examine relationships with respective erosivity indices. References on previous studies of rainfall erosivity are also provided.
