2. Doug (Dad)
The colour coding of clothing we chose for Doug is neutral colours, this is
because it fits his personality as Doug is overall a sedate character even
though he is living through a distressing time. We chose to put a navy blue
jumper on him, as navy is a smart colour, the darkness of the jumper suits
his age and symbolises sophistication. The white collar shirt and cream
trousers are all classic without being too modern reflecting on his old age
and his way of fashion. The overall smart casual look shows that although
he is going through a distressing time someone looks after him. E.g. himself
or a carer. The overall look suits with his age.
3. RACHEL (Daughter)
• For the role of Rachel we chose quite subtle but strong colours.
Rachel wears a white jumper, the same jumper as Alison's signifying
a strong connection between the two. The colour white is also quite
an angelic colour, representing Rachel's kind and caring nature. The
subtle blue denim jeans and the modern day black shearling jacket
reveals Rachel's modern side, showing she is quite up to date with
her fashion and is interested in it. It also shows that she is dressed
up to see her dad showing that she has respect for her father, even
though the dynamic of their relationship has changed. The makeup
is kept to a minimum but still a current day style, fitting in with
modern day life, it shows she is a young woman who likes to look
after her self and be well presented.

4. Alison (Wife)
• The outfit we chose for Alison needed to suit with her
character. Our aim to make her look angelic to signify her
ghostly presence. We chose for Alison to wear a white
jumper which is the same as Rachel's in order to show a
strong connection. The colour white also infers a calm
nature, which shows that she is at peace now, and
consequently had a peaceful death.
• The long brown skirt shows fits in with her elderly age as it
is a comfortable length. The flowing movement of the skirt
adds to her ghostly presence.

connection between them and symbolising the mother like
