QUESTION 7
Looking back at your preliminary task (the school magazine task), what do
you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?
THE COVER

When I’d first started the course, I
wasn't familiar with the magazine
structure or making process. Overtime I
learnt that there are certain features
into putting together a magazine e.g.
the masthead takes up around a
quarter of the page and the image
takes up most of the page or the whole
page. When I had more of a genre for
my magazine it enabled me to develop
it better, and before the pictures used
had been taken straight off my phone
but I learnt to edit them and overall
make constant little improvements from
before.
THE CONTENTS
I have now learnt that one headline
is not enough to draw in a reader
therefore placing many different
headlines in my music magazine,
as well as adding different features
that make the page look much
more interesting. Also one picture
isn’t enough, my magazine
contents page contains three.
Inevitably I’ve learnt many ways of
sorting my pages out in a much
better format and to include
different little things that work
towards an audience – and grab
that audience.
