1. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
The preliminarytask which I did first beforecreating my magazine was to build my confidence with
using new technologies and bringing different platforms together in making a magazinesuch as
Photoshop,Fujifilm camera which has helped me improve on my media skills and greatly helped me in
the construction of my magazine.
Photoshop was the programmethat I used to create my front cover and edit the images
and features on the page to achieve a professionallookwhilst also improvingmy skills
with new technologies which I learnt the basic of in my preliminarytask which assisted
me in the more complex editing in Photoshop for my main piece.
Video tutorials were readily availableand helped me a lot throughoutthe full process and I feel the
proofis in my finished product! When completing my front cover I did a numberof draftand then got
feedback from my fellow peers as to what I could improve on which has finallylead me to my final
piece.
InDesign which is very similar to Photoshop in some ways I used it to create my contents
and doublepage spread at first I found the change from Photoshop to InDesign slightly
daunting but once I got used to it I realised it was the best equipped piece of softwareto

2. create a magazine to a high professionalstandard.Again I created drafts of these products then gained
valuablefeedback, which I would use to improvemy magazine which has leaded me to my final piece.
The various tools in InDesign made it possibleto complete my contents and doublepage spread
becausewithout InDesign my magazine would not be completed to such a high standard with all the
skills I learned through the preliminarytask etc. I feel it has benefited me in creating my final product
overall.
Blogger is a blogging website which I used to presentmy as courseworkthrough the use of new
technologies and software’s to present it in new and exciting ways. I have never owned a blog before
this so overall this task was a learning experienceI used a range of social networking also such as
Facebook, twitter and Instagram to create my portfolio all in all linking differenttechnologies together

3. Padlet is a new website that I had never used before so using this new website helped me gain new
skills in getting feedback from my target audienceand prided a way for my target audience to
communicatewith me as I could make padlet available through emails, Facebook etc. by embedding
them to reach a lot more of my target audience. I used padlet to receive feedbackon my magazine
photos and what I could do to improvethem and make my magazineas good as it can be.
Survey monkey is the platform which I used to create and distribute my questionnaireto gather
information on what I should add to my magazine and any other additionalideas which would improve
my finalproduct. I used surveymonkey for both my preliminarytask and the research for my music
magazineat first I found the new interface for survey monkey a little challenging but once I got used to
it I was then able to create very professionallookingquestionnaires and in turn received a lot of
feedback on what I can do and improveon with my magazine.
SLR Camera is a type of camera which captures high quality shots. I used a SonySLR camera which I had
never used beforefor my music magazinephoto shoot. I had to take into consideration high angle, low
angle, eye level and other media conventions to ensure the photos taken were of a high quality, other
features I had to use were lighting I had to adapt to new environments to ensurethe lighting was
correct, the flash on the camera ensured the photos were visible and not blurred.
Prezi was the main format that I used to displaymy tasks, beforethis website I had previouslyused
PowerPoint but now that I have gotten used to the interface I find Prezi to be better at delivering high

4. quality professionallookingslides in comparison to PowerPoint and I found it to be the best method of
displayingmy findings and research.
