1. Question 6:What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
2. Slideshare I used this program a number of times, as I found it was easy to use and I was able to present my work on my blog in a orderly fashion. In order to use this programme, I had to make my presentation on PowerPoint. I then uploaded my presentation on to Slideshare. You are then provided with a link which you can embed onto your blog. This allowing you to see the presentation. The process is very quick and professional.
3. Microsoft PowerPoint/Word Documents In order to present a tidy and organised blog, I used both Microsoft PowerPoint and Word Document. Both of these programmes helped me to create slides which I then embedded on Slideshare and finally on to my blog. I originally produced the above on Word Document, however, there was a problem when I tried to upload it straight to my blog as the colour boxes would not show. Therefore I used Slideshare in order to have the outcome I expected. Here I produced a presentation on PowerPoint. I found when trying to upload a presentation on to the blog, there was no slide option. I therefore resulted into using Slideshare. This made
4. Edirol I used this device to collect my audience feedback for my market research. This took place before I started creating my magazine. This easy to use and portable device, enabled me to record a short audio file. All the necessary buttons are found easily, for example, the record, stop, play and pause. A little screen provides Information such as how long the audio clip is.
5. Adobe Audition In this image I am editing the audio I recorded for my planning and research. Adobe Audition was a quick and easy way to edit the audio I recorded with the Edirol. It took me a while to get used to listening and cutting each part carefully in order for the audio to flow. However, as I got use to it, I was able to cut out the bits I didn't want. For example, I was able to cut out words such as ‘erm’, background noise and laughing. I found this piece of technology very useful, as I was able to submit my audio as part of my research professionally.
6. Divshare Divshare was a useful programme and had similarities of Slideshare. I used this programme in order to publish my audio file once recorded on an Edirol and edited on Adobe Audition. The process was quick and easy and the outcome was neat. This contributed to the organised blog.
7. Adobe Photoshop This is the main image I was editing for my Double page spread. I used Adobe Photoshop to produce all three parts of my magazine; Front cover, Contents page and Double page spread. Photoshop allows you to do many things in terms of altering. For example, above I'm cutting out the image, and getting rid of the things that make it look unprofessional, for example the flooring. At first it was hard to get a grip of how to use the tools and what each tool does. However, after using it a number of times my knowledge became more familiarised with the programme allowing me to produce a much better outcome than that of my preliminary task, where I hardly knew how to use Photoshop.
8. Blog Creating a blog was easy considering it was my first time. I found it was simple to upload things as long as it fit to the features the ‘Blogger’ provided. I was straightforwardly able to copy my written content from Microsoft Word Document, to the blog and publish it by the click of a button. I was also able to edit post’s even once published a numerous of times, to produce work of my best ability. The blog allowed us to change the structure by editing the date of publish. This made the blog look organised. When publishing images, for example magazine covers, I simply uploaded the pictures straight off the blog. However, I used the embed codes to publish slides and audio files – from the sites previously mentioned ‘Slideshare’ and ‘Divshare’.
