Familiar technology used I used Microsoft PowerPoint to help me create my slideshows and presentation for my evaluation, this helped with my presentation of information as this layout helped it look simple and easy to read and understand therefore this provided great use to me for my media project. Without the use of this my work would have suffered as Microsoft PowerPoint ensured it looked organised and presentable.

3. Microsoft Word This is a technology I used often to type most of my work both for the evaluation process and the planning and research where I would type up my analysis of established music magazines as well as producing my own article. Microsoft Word Is essential for my project as it ensured I have no spelling mistakes or any other grammatical errors by using the tool “spell check”.

4. Microsoft Excel Microsoft Excel -I used this tool to turn my results from the questionnaire I produced in order to gain a better understanding of my target audience. This tool successful transformed my results into graphs which made it look more organised and easier to read and understand as the graph shows them in a more straightforward way in comparison to a tool like Microsoft word . By the end my data is easily readable and professional, increasing the appearance and quality of work I produced.

5. USB Stick The USB stick I used was vital during this process as it ensured my work stayed safe during the production of my magazine. This allowed me not only to transfer work from one place to another without it getting lost or deleted but it also allowed me to share work with my fellow classmates. As we often read through one another’s work. The work we produce on Photoshop is too big to be transferred through email as a result my USB stick is essential as I would be very difficult for me to efficiently complete all work.

7. Blogger All work produced for my media project must be uploaded to blogger. This is the first time I have come across this site, therefore I had to create an account straight away. This website is very straight forward and easy to use I soon got the hang of it an was able to produce and upload work without difficulty. This website is quite fast and I was able to view work straight after I published it. I was easily able to uploaded documents, audios, pictures , graphs and power points. editing or delete posts could easily be accomplished giving me enough time to make my work and posts as efficient as possible.

8. Slideshare Slideshare was used to upload the presentations that I had made for my market research results and evaluation, it allowed me to efficiently classify my work ensuring it looked presentable and appear much more professional than perhaps the use of Microsoft work. This website was particularly useful to use as , It allowed me to upload different types of work easily even though I have not come across this site before it was quite straight forward and I did not struggle to upload work on my blog.

9. .Photoshop Photoshop is definitely the most essential piece of technology I used to complete my project. As this is what helped me produce my music magazine front cover, content page and double page spread and also create my preliminary work. I have gained a number of skills during the process of creating my magazine which has given me the ability to make my work more realistic and attractive in order to appeal to my target audience.

10. I have become much more skilled at using this software during the this process from the time I started doing my preliminary to now when I have completed my music magazine. As you can see there is a big difference in the quality of my preliminary work and final magazine, Preliminary Final magazine .

11. I Have learnt many things: I have learnt how to manipulate photos e.g. crop the background out using the magnetic lasso tool this helped me crop my picture out very precisely therefore making it look realistic when place on a different background

Also I have learnt how to create a signature which I needed to place in my contents page next to my editorial as it helped create realism and help attract my target audience as they can see it is trustworthy and has a unique element as many music magazines do not have signatures next to their editorial I achieved this using the tool. 13. Blurring and Clone Tool The use of the blurring tool and the clone tool was essential for my work to look realistic as the picture I took initially was very difficult to crop around as my female model hair was very wavy therefore making very difficult for me to crop around. I used the clone tool to copy pieces of her hair and place them at the ends of her hair to make it look more realistic and also make it easier for me to cover u the little areas of green screen that remained from the original shot. As you can see I face difficulties with the blurring tool but I over come this. The blurring tool was used to smudge around my models hair in order for it to look more realistic an natural as it disposed of the straight cut that was the result of the lasso tool.

Photoshop Image Manipulation Photoshop Image Manipulation was also essential to create the right structure and look for my magazine this consisted of The cropping, resizing and re-positioning of images and items .I easily able to find the right positioning and sizes of images and text in order for it all to fit in , and not fall short on any high standards. This had been achieved done without sacrificing the realism and quality of the original images as well.

15. Edirol Edirol is the device Initially used to record audio files that had my market research feedback however due to technical difficulties my fie was lost . Instead I resorted to recording my audience feedback thorough an Phone 4 this device successfully recoded my audio type which I them uploaded onto my blog.

16. Adobe Audition After I had recorded my audio file I used Adobe audition to edit this file as it had many pauses and backing sounds which made it sound very unclear. I used adobe audition to remove bits of audio I did not need. I did this by cut out the section of the audio file I did not want to post. This enabled me to upload this file to my blog without any insufficient sounds.

17. Divshare Uploading Mp3 Files-I used Divshare to upload my audio file which consisted of audience feedback this system was unfamiliar to me at first but was easy to use This website allowed me to upload Mp3 files and then post the embed code onto my blog .
