The applications I used throughout the process of
making my products were : Adobe Photoshop,
Microsoft Word and Powerpoint. Firstly in the
beginning of my production I did not know much
about magazine conventions, but by using
Powerpoint helped me create some analysis on
magazines. Then by using Photoshop I had
designed a flat plan which was a guideline for what
convention was placed where that showed a
layout, using rectangle boxes and text displayed
helped me. Furthermore still on Photoshop I had
implemented my flat plan on each separate
products that formed a clear perception of my
magazine. Through using various of tools like
Lasso Tool, Rectangle Box, Brush Tool etc… which
were the essential equitment I had used to produce
a high quality standard. In my contents page and
double-page spread there was a lot of writing
compared to front cover, so by having Microsoft
word it had enabled me re-check my wording if
there was any spelling errors.

3. Canon 1100D & LENS 50mm
The pictures I took for my magazine was from
a “Canon 1100D”, this camera included many
different options which I could test and try
out. In my opinion I think that the Canon
captured my pictures well, in most of images
the model was only focused. I wanted to
show that the model was important and the
main center piece of the picture. Besides that
I used a 50mm Lens which zoomed into the
model with a high quality resolution, that
created a HD effect. Providing a clear outline
of the model likewise the background. From
landscape to portrait the use of high-key
lighting played a good part in all my products
especially for my front cover and DPS to
create a upbeat mood when they look at it.
This made my magazine seem more friendly
and appealing to the audience.

4. Websites
Not only have I used applications but websites
to fill in the gaps during the process of making
my magazine. Dafont.com provided me with
different styled fonts from sans-serif to serif
etc… which added onto making a house style
within my magazine. I have also used
websites like Emaze, Prezi, Powtoon and
SlideShare to showcase my ideas and key
findings on a presentation. By adding
animations and slide effects helped the
production a bit more interesting.
