QUESTION

How did you attract your audience?
 The target audience was older males aged 45-55, and interested in
golf, cars and live acts such as plays and theatre. I attracted this
audience in a number of ways related to their gender, age group and

interests. If this is done successfully, my magazine will be attractive to
a large group of people.
 My front cover attracts to my target audience in a
few ways. For instance, the colours are quite simple, and
largely include only white black and red. This would be
attractive to an older audience because they would not
want to be faced with a garish, difficult to read page. By
using these colours, my front cover is not too
bright, and not too dark, but at the same time, the red
trim and big bold title makes it eye catching. The photo
used for my front cover would also attract to this
audience as it is of someone of a similar age. From my
research, I have learnt that people either want to see a
relatable face on the front page, or a new up and coming
band. I chose to use a relatable person.
 My contents page relates and attracts
the audience by also having someone of a
similar age to the average reader as the
main photo. This once again is because of
the results from some of my research
surveys. The text I used in my magazine
also will be attractive to my target audience.
This is because typically to someone in the
45-55 year old age group, bold and easy to
read text would be preferable to fancy but

illegible text.
 My double page spread would be attractive to my audience for a few
reasons. For example, it is a gig review, and therefore about a live act. My
research survey told me that my typical reader would like live acts, so
therefore an article about a gig would be ideal. The text on this page also
attracts the reader by once again being bold and easy to read. Finally, the
photos featured in the article are of men the same age as my audience, so
being the same age and gender would make the article relatable.
 Overall, I feel that my magazine would successfully attract he
target audience as it features many preferable and relatable features.
According to my research survey, my magazine would be ideal to the

45-55 male demographic
