In the research and planning stage, the author used various Web 2.0 tools to conduct and present their research online. These tools included YouTube to upload explanatory videos, Wordpress to host a blog with embedded videos and codes, Voki for an interactive avatar presentation, and Slideshare to embed an online PowerPoint. Web 2.0 allowed the downloading of existing materials like film posters to analyze and the uploading of hand-drawn storyboards, magazines, and posters to further explain the planning process.
