How to take online class using
Google Meet ?
Google Meet Overview
When students are learning from home, Google Meet can be the connection you need with them.
Here are ideas for using it.
When students and teachers can't physically meet face to face, that doesn't mean they can't do it
through video.
When doing e-learning / distance learning / remote learning, video has lots of benefits:
– It gives that personal connection that's missing from face-to-face class time.
– It helps us to communicate more clearly with facial expressions, body language and intonation.
– It's quick and easy. Pushing record and talking can be much faster than other forms of
communication.
– It's a great creative outlet. Putting creative touches on a video is easy with many platforms.

Step 1: In the browser go to https://meet.google.com/

Step 2: The following screen appears, click Sign in
Step 3: Enter the Gmail id and password Click next

Step 4: Click “Start a meeting” button
Step 5: Click the “Join Now” button.

Step 6: In this window select “Meeting details” button, a pop up will appear, in that click “copy
joining info” to copy the link for the live class. Share this link to your students and ask them to join
in the online live class. Here you can click "People tab" to view the list of students joined in your
live class and use Chat box for discussion.

Step 1: Find chrome web store
Step 2: Search google meet attendance in search box and then click "add to
chrome" button on right side

Step 3: Now start the google meeting. As soon as meeting starts, a pop window "Class
list" is shown.

Step 4: List of students who have joined in previous meeting: For example it is given as
student 1, student 2 instead of student names.

Step 5: Now we define our classes separately. Click class list and select Add.

Step 8: Select "Tweak your settings" to set the attendance in prescribed format

desired extension and add extension.

• Start a ‘Google Meet’ and click join. The ‘Grid view’ icon appears in the Google meet window.
