2. What kind of media institution
might distribute your media?
• We looked into three different distributors when we
were researching how we should get the film
distributed and we wanted to make sure that the
distributor was well known and most of all we
checked what films they have previously
distributed.
• This was so we could tell which distributor would be
the most suitable for our sci-fi film
• The three distributors that we looked into were;
• Lionsgate, StudioCanal and Universal.

4. Studio Canal
• This was the final decision that was made in our
group to choose this company as our distributor.
• It was chosen because they have the highest
number of sci-fi films that they have distributed and
have a very good well known name.
• The logo was also very easy to customize to
incorporate into our opening sequence.
5. Why?
• We chose this over the other two because they
where for different genres like horror and thriller and
they are not what our opening sequence needs.
• They will also want to distribute our video because it
follows many different conventions that their other
films have.
6. What does a distribution
company do?
• A distribution company markets the film, they are
the ones that are responsible for the selling of the
films to cinemas and on DVD, they also market the
products on billboards, TV and other forms of media
to promote the film to get as many viewers as
possible.
• Non Stop is a new film that Studio Canal has
brought out that is similar to our film that includes
lots of use of electronics like phones and
computers.
