1. What kind of media institutions might distribute your
media products and why?
An institution is a company that disperses media products
for an audience’s consumption. A film would internationally
or nationally go to the cinema.
So the kind of media institution that I think would distribute
our media products could be more studio production as it
shares similar conventions with other supernatural horror
films. The company could be Lionsgate. They have
distributed many
similar films to ours
over the years.
Maybe they’re other
media institutions that
would distribute my short film, particularly studios that
specialize in short independent films. There is one called
FOX Searchlight and they specialize in independent, and
non-English language
speaking films. Unique
films are the main
type/genre they
specialize in really.
