1. SCRIPT FOR ‘INSTABILITY’ BY JACK AND JACK
Opening scene
Nurse Merry: (reads out random names for a little while) *inaudible muttering*
Extra nurse: Johanna? ...Johanna!? (3) JOHANNA!? You’re scaring me! (The sound of the
nurse is muffled with a ringing sound whereas the muttering is heard a little more
clearly)
Nurse Merry: *shakes head*I… Sorry…No sorry, w-where was I? *Continues to read
out names*
Extra nurse: *sighs* [Whisper] Not again…

Flash back
Patient 256: *Smashing bottles, plates etc* you made me do it! You made me do it!
Mother: Stop it! Just stop! Please! Please just stop! I never told you anything. It’s all in
your head. Listen to me [begs] I’m your mother… *grabs son’s arm*
Patient 256: *Shoves mother and thenpicks up knife from broken pile of mess and
gashes his mother* [Crying, holds hand to own head]- you made me do this…you made
me do this…

The mirror
Patient 256 is in room, staring at his own reflection over sink.
P256: Get out of my head- *starts tap and washes face*
Patient looks back at reflection, sees apparition of mother and jumps back, aghast.
Quickly looks behind himself, no one is present. Grabs pills muttering, “get out of my
head”. Extra nurse walks in.
Extra nurse: Hello, just checki…uh hey… You okay? Look like you’ve seen a ghost
nervous laugh. Are you seeing things again? Y’know you can tell me.
Patient: gulps no I’m fine…honestly, I am taking my pills, I just took some. But I’m not
feeling up for a checkup. Can you come back later?
ENURSE: Only if you’re sure you’re okay?
PATIENT: I promise
ENURSE: Okaaay. I’m not suppose to but I know how it is. I’ll see you at about 6, alright?

The possession
Nurse merry walking down corridor, bags under her eyes. Here’s the whispering against
the wall. Puts head against wall and realizes the sound is actually coming behind her.
Turns around and see’s the mother. Screams
NM: M-Madame, your chest! It’s---ags-hs-fhd-fh-fdseyes go whiteand widen, head
snaps back as she is possessed by mother’s spirit.

Patient 256
Nurse merry walk in room, door closes behind, and camera zooms in on room 256 door
logo. Only voices are heard further on.
256: You said you wouldn’t be back unt- Oh hi?
Nurse mixed with mother voice: You hurt me! You hurt me!
256: What?! No…get out of my head! I took my pills!
Nurse: You hurt me! How could you hurt your mother?!256: You’re not real! You’re not
real-Slashing sound. Visual turns black.
