2. This is my cover image for my
magazine, it is a portrait, close up
shot. She is presented as ‘classy
and posh’. Not like a typical
magazine where women are
using voyeurism to attract the
viewers attention. I want this
magazine to be aimed at
teenagers or young adults, it’s a
dream pop magazine so it
presented in a dreamy, vintage
way. I want it to be presented as
a retro type magazine. I wanted
mine to be different to normal
generic music magazines. To get
the viewers attention I have got
my subject to pose in a certain
way. Unlike other magazines she
isn’t presenting herself in a
sexual way. The way she
dresses, her body language and
the way she is stood tells us that.

3. This is the second image is a landscape,
medium close up shot of one of my subjects.
I have used this photograph for one of my
pages on my contents page. I decided to
use a less serious one. Even thought I
wanted my magazine to have a vintage
theme I still want it to be ‘approachable’. I
want it to have a positive vibe. Her body
language tells us that she is happy because
she is laughing, making eye contact with the
camera. From this we can see that the
magazine is going to create a friendly
atmosphere for the reader.This is my second image for my
contents page. It is a portrait, mid shot
photograph. The subject is not making
eye contact with the camera. Instead
of this she is looking over her left
shoulder to see what is behind her. I
have got her to do this as I wanted
variation on my images used for my
magazine, I don’t want it to be

4. This is my main photograph used for my
article. It is a medium close up taken on
landscape. The way this photograph is
taken I similar to my contents page
image. My chosen subject isn’t making
eye contact with the camera but is
looking the other way. It still grabs the
attention of the viewer even though it
isn’t fitting the exact regulations for a
‘perfect photograph’. This is one of my
favorite images, I think it fits in very well
with my Vintage and dream pop theme.
This is my second image for my article,
as you can see it is a mid shot portrait
image. In this particular photograph I
have asked my subject to wear
sunglasses so that I can refer back to
my cover image. The model is making
eye contact with the camera which is
engaging.

5. How do my photographs
represent particular social
groups?
The photographs I have taken represent the social
group I targeted at very well. I have made my
photographs very vintage and old fashioned. My
target audience is younger adults who enjoy
dream/indie pop. I have made my magazine with
them in mind.
