population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming

significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.

- 1. How does my media product represent particular social groups? QUESTION 2
- 2. The music genre that I have chosen is Rock. I have represented this genre in my cover by using vibrant and smart colours, that fit in with the genre, and contrast against the other more dull colours such as grey, black and white that stay in the background and on text, and the clothes of the artist in the majority of my images. On the cover of my magazine, the picture is black and white, representing a formal style of rock such as AC/DC. I used this idea from Kerrang! Where rock artists would wear formal clothing and look very professional. I have portrayed my artist on my front cover as being quirky and eccentric due to the strange and comedic expression on his face, also contrasting with the formal dress sense and guitar, giving it a ‘Breaking the rules’ sense, which is stereotypically rock and roll. - 3. The main star of my cover and article, Peter Egerton, is presented in a rebellious and boisterous way. His pictures show him to be a confident, energetic male with a sense of youth around him due to the hand sign and the sticking out of tongue. I have portrayed him as being typically male, and what people would expect a rock artist to look like through the use of a casual, yet formal mix of clothes, and a strange yet exciting expression. There are more famous male artists than female artists, and Peter represents one of these males perfectly. Take AC/DC for example. They use many different eccentric photos with rebellious signifiers in order to create a ‘Rock n Roll’ feel to their photos, as I have done with Peter. He seems strong and confident and ready to take on anything, as do rock artists. The background of the photo is also clear, so that the focus stays on the artist and the artist only.
