2. • The images on my front cover are going to be of Amy Clarke.
• It will be a medium close up shot of her as this is a code and convention of magazine
cover images and she will have a direct mode of address with the camera to grab the
readers attention.
• She will wear a checked shirt that has blue and red in it so it fits in with my colour
scheme.
• The lighting will be bright to mimic being on stage and the stage lights on her and I will
photograph her with a black background behind her so when I am adding the photo to my
cover it will be easy to cut the background out and add it to a union jack background.
• Her make up will be minimal and I will ask her to wear dark eyeliner.
• Her hair will be straight and off her face so her direct mode of address is the main focus in
the image.
• Amy will be holding a microphone as though she is about to start singing into it.
• There will also be a smaller image of Jake Bugg performing live.

6. • The article I am going to write for my double page spread will be an interview with
Adam Thornton ex-sly digs bassist/backing vocalist.
• I will have a full page image of him which will be in black and white and behind the
article will be a large capital „A‟ similar to on a double page spread in Q magazine.
• He will be wearing a shirt buttoned up to the top for the main image.
• A prop in the image will be a bass guitar. Adam will be holding it as though he has
just stopped playing and I want him to have a direct mode of address in the image as
it will engage the readers. I want my image to be really striking and the main focus on
the double page spread.
• On the right hand page I will have images of him performing solo in which he will be
wearing a leather jacket with a top underneath and skinny jeans and a casual image
of him with a cup of tea on a sofa in his home which will be relevant to the article.
• In the image where he has a cup of tea his clothing will be a plain t-shirt and jeans.
• I will ask questions about being in the band and why he decided to leave to go solo.
