In which ways does your media product
use, develop or challenge forms and
conventions of media products
The main task
• The music video we did was made to challage
the conventions of a normal music video as
during the video we didn’t have a band
playing in the video
Why
• We pick the music video snuff by slip knot as
the style model after watching the video a few
times Jordan created the music for the video
with the aim of making it post-modern
How it post-modern
• We tried to make it post-modern by starting
the story in the video after the events that
have taken place. The transition used in the
video have reason to be there as some are
used as to say to the audience that this scene
is an flashback.
Text during the video
• In music videos like “snuff” and “the kill” text
is used to at different parts of the video. So
we decided to use text at the end as it was not
a normal convention in music videos
The digi-pack
• We also advertise the digi-pack was advertise
at the end of the music video which also
challenge conventions of a normal music
video
