Flow Chart is a visual representation of Process.
In which, we use graphic symbols to represent
the nature and flow of the steps in a process.

4. Types of Flow Chart
There are total three type of Flowcharts-
 Macro- High Level Overview, Big Picture
 Micro- Operational Level, Practical
Links between Inputs and Outputs
 Hyper- Micro- Design Level, Details
into Operator methods

5. Macro Flowchart
 Used to understand a big picture view of the
major steps in a process.
 Used before drawing a more detailed flow
chart.
 Includes 6-8 steps.
 Show only major steps of the process.

 The micro level view provides a very detailed

documenting every action and decision.
 It is commonly used to chart how a particular
task is performed.

12. Three Trouble Spots
 Online Registration- There is no facility for
online registration. Institute should look for this
option because it will save money, time for
students and institute.
 MAT/CAT/SNAP Score- Though institute has
its own written exam which consists of English,
Excel, Essay writing. It does not considered
competitive exams score for admissions But it
should give bonus marks who got good
percentile in these exams.

 Word of mouth- It is the only tool which helps
to promote our institute. Because our director
strongly believes that SCMLD is based on
‘Leadership Gurukulam’ which is not for
advertisement.

14. Lessons Learned by the Team
 Difference between micro and macro flow
chart.
 We learnt how flow charting is helpful to
represent any situation in a different way.
 We also learnt the errors in the whole process
of admissions and how we can try to fix those
errors.
 Applying the theoretical concepts in practical
situations was also a good learning.
