Project Title: Financial Statement Analysis, MarginAnalysis and Study of Inventory Valuation
Description
Analysis of past 5 year financial statements and computation of EVA. Identification of products
generating higher margins using margin analysis. Understanding the methodology adopted in inventory
valuation.
Responsibilities
 To do trend analysis, ratio analysis and common size analysis and focus on operational metrics like
working capital management, cash conversion cycle and finally compute EVA over the period.
 The objective was to study the inventory valuation process and methods followed by the company and
prepare a report. The process was looked at from four different stages. They are Inventory valuation,
Subcontracting & Stock with OSP, Physical inventory- cycle counts and Provision for Excess & Obsolete
inventory.
 Worked on margin analysis which is usually done by the finance team on a monthly basis. The margin
analysis report is a manually constructed report based on the Sales and COGS reports. Delivered the
margin report for the month of May.
