FACETS is an integrated healthcare management system designed to handle
complex requirement of Managed Care Programs. Facets encompass sophisticated
technology that automates work processes, reduce costs, and simplifies the process
of navigating through a health care delivery system. The Facets system provides a
comprehensive solution to support multiple lines of business and complex Product
offerings. As a modular system, Facets allows customers to use Facets core modules,
and optionally select additional modules that will meet their business needs.
Facets application was developed by Erisco and is being upgraded & maintained by
Trizetto.
UHG is using this application in many of its business implementation and line of
business.
UHG is currently having 12 instances of facets. The version used is 4.7, which is the
latest and this is ICD-10 and 5010 compliant.
The goal of the Facets Community of Practice is to build a body of knowledge in the
Facets area within UnitedHealth Group by evolving best practices, creating design
patterns and enabling dissemination of knowledge.
Responsibilities:
➢ As a Software Tester my responsibilities include assistance of documenting
Product Test Plan with Team Lead using several SDLC methodologies;
Assisted in writing efficient and effective Test cases, Test Strategy, Test Plan
End-to-End Test and User Acceptance Testing.
➢ Performed User Acceptance testing which covered the entire business process
flow from the initial point of sales through to all the downstream systems.

Project Description:-
GPS is a web-based application that administers the federal government’s law to
provide prescription drug (Part D), Medicare Advantage (MA) and Medicare
Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) coverage to the senior population (65 and
above) and ESRD (End-Stage Renal Disease) population eligible to Medicare. This
application is used for retrieving membership details, Enrolling prospects/members,
created fulfilment and creates Billing. The major functionalities in GPS are Enrolment,
Employer Accounts (Group), Fulfilment (Mailing), Letter Writing, Billing, Work Queue
and Reporting. The strategic aim of UHG is to have GPS as the premier policy
administration system for administrating PDP, MA and MAPD members.
