What technology
did I use?
Computer and
mac book
Photoshop
Microsoft word
Microsoft
powerpoint
Publisher
Camera
The Internet
Both of these were vital to the production of the
magazine. It allowed me to access different things
such as the internet and publisher, where I was
able to crop and reform pictures and text that I
had created. With this I learnt how to crop
pictures and edit text which helps you to save
time and increase efficiency.
Publisher was the most useful tool that I have
used throughout the production it was extremely
useful because it allowed me to all the
conventional things that things like Microsoft
word does, but with addition to extra features in
order to change pictures. On publisher I learnt
how to change photos and create double page and
double sided sheets that can be useful for
magazines. An example would be a double page
spread.
This is the most conventional thing I have used, it
is the most useful tool that the computer and the
mac has because it wholly designed for text. This
therefore means that any text that needed to be
written was wrote on this because it is the best
tool that can be used on the computer. I
consolidated my knowledge of how useful word
is as a tool for text.
This is another Microsoft programme that is
incredibly useful, I used it is my preparation
phase of creation where I did things such as
market research and target audience research to
find out which things would most useful to use.
PowerPoint is also a very useful tool for
presenting data which, this is something I learnt
throughout my production and has been very
helpful.
The internet was a very useful tool because it
allowed me to go onto websites such as font space
allowed me to make my magazine as original and
conventional as possible. It also allowed me to do
things such as research into magazines that I was
going to base mine on. Which allowed me to
make my magazine as suitable as possible
compared to a successful magazine.
The camera was vital to the production of my
magazine, without it I would not of been able to
produce my magazine because I would have had
pictures. It was also a useful tool because it
allowed me to enlarge pictures and zoom in and
out on the photos which meant I could change the
type of image to make it more conventional to the
type of genre I have chosen.
Photos
taken with
the camera
Photoshop allowed me to change the type of
image I had created and change things such as
backgrounds and things that the models are
wearing. This was very useful as it allowed me to
crop in things and locations I would not be able to
get pictures of models at. Without this my
pictures would not of looked as conventional as
they do.
