A Japanese clinical psychologist stayed in the Kesennuma City for nearly two years after the earthquakes on 11 March 2014. He worked with students, their parents, and teachers in schools.

ドイツの哲学者ニーチェの言葉。『Twilight of the Idols』(邦題:偶像の黄昏)の章「Maxims and Arrows」に登場する名言
意味「死にそうになるほどつらい出来事は、私をより強くさせるのである」
★西尾幹二(訳)「偶像の黄昏 アンチクリスト」白水社p14では「私に死をもたらすものでない限り、何でもかえって私を強化する結果となる。」と訳されている。
困難な経験を通じた成長という考え方は決して目新しいものではなく、中心的な研究の対象にはならなかったものの、その考え方自体は古くから示唆されてきた。
