1. Protests in Brazil
Protests in Brazil have now achieved a worldwide level, and for the first
time in years,the “world” is somehow “concerned” with our social
conditions and political movements. Although people who live in Brazil
know that is not the first time we go fight for our rights, that’s how we
looked in other nations perspective’s. Fortunately, this new attitudes
coming from the people, gives us the chance to be more than a country
with beautiful beaches and spectacular football.
Though this “social awakening” exploded because of the raise in the bus
fares,it is absolutely clear that it was only the tip of a huge iceberg of
national problems,such as: corruption, bad public services, terrible public
transportation, high taxes, high electricity taxes and rejection for the
current president administration. Moreover, Brazilians had serious
motives to complain about, and these motives are: the human rights
committee, led by evangelical pastor Marco Feliciano that has been trying
to get legislation allowing psychologists to treat homosexuality as an kind
of illness , equally, the impact in the economy caused by the world cup
Brazil is going to house next year, and also the FIFA confederation cup,
that was held this year.In contrast with marvelous stadiums Brazil has
now, our hospitals look even more trashy than before, and our schools,
even worse.
Similarly, the press from all over the world have been claiming that
Dilma’s popularity in Brazil is in decrease a long time before protests and
marches begin, and according to the CBN radio station research, the
general approval of Dilma’s that was 54,2% fell to the percentage of
31,3% after this “social awakening”.However, our current president has
been trying to find ways to calm the population down. For example, she
created something she named “5 pacts” between the government and the
population, and these pact would be : 1 - controlling the inflation level,2- a
political reform , 3 - improving the health public service , 4 - improving
public transportation , and , 5 –improving the public education service. All
of these improvements would come with the simultaneous participation
of the peoplein ,that’s what our female president affirms.

2. Finally, in my opinion, I can’t say I believe our country is going to
chance with these “5 pacts”, neither I think that there will be any ofthese
participations of the population. The fact that the population is
complaining but don’t want to give their support to another political party
is something that makes this process slow, and so, the current president
can come up with lots of “plans” that may never be put in practice.
