EXPLORING THE POTENTIAL OF
DVD AS AN ALTERNATIVE SOLAR
PANEL
3. The study about this is significant because it offers a promising
alternative to traditional solar panels, which can be expensive and
difficult to obtained in some areas. This could be significant in
reducing electronic waste and developing new and renewable
energy sources. Another study explored the use of DVD
technology for educational purposes. This could be significant in
enchancing different aspects of education, both current future.
Repurposing unused DVDs as solar panels can help reduce
electronic waste, which is difficult to decompose and often causes
environmental problems. The use of DVD materials for solar
panels contributes to the development of new renewable energy
sources, which are urgently needed in various sectors, including
agriculture
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
4. The background of the study is to find new and renewable
energy source that can be used in the agriculture sector and to
utilize unused electronic waste due to increasingly sophisticated
technology . This study aims to explore DVD ‘s as an alternative
material for solar panels . DVD’s can produce high electric power
. The research method used in the study is experimentation base
on the literature review , direct practise and product-based. Based
on the results of the literature review, used DVD’s have an
potential to be developed as a substitute for solar panel functions
. The quasi-random pattern of information written on the blu-ray
dise works well for improving light absorption across the solar
spectrum.
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
5. Over all , the background of the study is based on the needed
for new and renewable energy development and the potential of
utilizing unused electronic waste . The study aims to explore the
potential of DVD as an alternative material for solar panel and
found that used DVD’s have the potential to be developed as a
substitute for solar panel function . Another study found that
blu-ray dises can also improve the performance of the solar cell .

Solar energy
Prasad et al. (2017) defines solar energy as the energy from the sun’s
radiation that reaches the earth. It is the most readily strikes the
earth’s surface in an hour and a half is enough to handle the entire
world’s energy consumption for a full year . Furthermore , according
to Qin et al. (2015), as a renewable and clean energy , solar energy
will not cause environmental pollution that is produced by
traditional energy source ,like coal ,oil ,and other fossil fuels , during
utilisation .
Therefore , development and application of green energy are one of
the most important energy saving measures . During the past 30
years ,many developed industrial countries .
REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE
AND STUDIES
7. Research Methods: The research method use in exploring the
potential of DVD as an alternative solar panel is through
experimentation based on literature review /literature study .
Direct practice , and product-based.
Used DVD’s as Alternative Solar Panel: Based on the results of
the literature review . It can be concluded that used DVD’s have
the potential to be developed as a substitute for solar panel
functions . In addition , base on experiments , it can be found
that the truth about used DVD will developed into a PASSUS
prototype with functions almost the same as solar panels.
METHODS OF RESEARCH AND SOURCES OF DATA
8. The study aims to explore the potential of unused DVD as an alternative
material for solar panel (monocrystalline) . The objectives of the study are ;
-To determine the potential of used DVD’s as a substitute for solar panel
functions based on results of a literature review .
-To conduct experiment to demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency
of using DVD disks as a solar panel .
-To develop a Passus prototype with function almost the same as solar
panel .
- To provide a cheaper and more economical option for harnessing solar
energy .
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
9. The study uses the experimental method based on literature review , direct
practise , and product-based . The research result show that a series of
arranged DVD’s produced high electric power , and used DVD’s have the
potential to be developed as a substitute for solar panel functions . The study
concludes that DVD can be used and developed as an alternative energy for
simple solar panels . The researcher suggests that using DVD disk as a solar
panel is a viable and promising alternative .

the need for new and renewable energy sources, it would also introduce the idea of
using DVD as an alternative material for solar panels. It would summarize the
existing research on the topic, including studies that have explored the potential of
DVD as a substitute for solar panel functions, this also discuss the advantages and
disadvantages of using DVD as a solar panel material, this section would describe
the research methods used to explore the potential of DVD as a solar panel, this
could include experimentation based on literature review, direct practice and
product based research. This would present the finding of the reseach, including
the electric power produced by a series of arranged DVDs and how it compares to
traditional solar panels. It would also discuss the potential for DVD to be
developed into a prototype solar panel with functions almost the same as solar
panels, it could interpret the results of the research and discuss their implications, it
would address any limitations of the study and suggest areas for future reasearch, it
summarize the key finding of the research and their significance, this also provide
recommendations for further explorations of the potential of DVD as ana

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
11. Scope:
-The potential of DVD as an alternative material for solar panels
has been explored in some studies.
-The research method used in these studies was experimentation
based in literature review, direct practice, and product-based.
-The studies have shown that a series of arranged DVDs can
produce high electric power.
-The use of DVD disks as a solar panel is a viable and promising
alternative to traditional solar panels.
SCOPE
12. Limitations:
-The studies conducted so far are limited in number and scope.
-The effectiveness and efficiency of using DVD disks as a solar panel have only
demonstrated in experiments, and further research is needed to determine their long-
term viability and practicality.
-The studies have not yet explored the potential of DVD disks as a replacement for
other types of solar panels.
- This study have not yet addressed the economic feasibility of using DVD disks as
a solar panel, including the cost of production and maintenance
-The studies have not yet explored the environmental impact of using DVD disks
as a solar panel, including the disposal of used DVDs
In summary, while the potential of DVD disks as an alternative solar panel has been
explored in some studies, further research is needed to determine their long-term
viability, economic feasibility, and environmental impact.
LIMITATIONS
13. -Unused DVDs have the potential to be developed as a substitute for solar panel
functions.
-DVDs can absorb solar heat energy and produce high electric power when arranged
in series.
- DVDs cab be used a prototype solar panel, providing a chapter and more
ecinomical option for harnessing solar energy.
-Used DVDs can be effectively used as a solar convertor, highlighting their
advantages such as immunity to noise and interference.
- DVDs have the potential to be a replacement for monocrystalline solar panels,
particularly in areas with limited access to electricity.
Therefore, the hypotheses is that DVDs can be a viable and promising alternative to
traditional solar panels, and further research can be conducted to explre their potential as
a substitute for solar panel functions.
