Four situations can lead to pronoun agreement issues: compound subjects, collective nouns, indefinite pronouns, and shifts in pronoun person. To address these issues, the pronoun must agree in number and person with its antecedent, or the antecedent can be changed to agree with the pronoun. Some examples are provided of correct and incorrect usages of pronouns in these different situations.
