Kaziranga National Park was established in 1990 in Assam's Kamrup District and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. It is home to important species like the Assam Roofed Turtle, Golden Langur, Pygmy Hog, Bengal Tiger, Greater One-Horned Rhinoceros, and Swamp Deer. Visitors can reach Kaziranga National Park by flying into Guwahati Airport which is 180km away, or taking a train to Barpeta Road which is 32km, or via NH 31 by bus.
