Notes On Inerrancy And Inspiration Essay

THEO 201 B01
Short Essay on Inerrancy and Inspiration
Men, as worshipping creatures, are always looking for a supreme being to adore. They always are
looking for the source of truth, and asking many questions regarding what they should believe because
there are many sects out there which teach different doctrines, or even deny the deity of God and
worship other gods. When it comes to the Holy Bible, people are digging further in the outside world
to get some responses that are themselves found in the Bible. One of the questions that is asked the
most is: ÂŤ Does the Bible really have Authority? Âť. The Bible is the word of God. As it says in the
Bible, the word of God is authoritative, inspired and inerrant.
Authority in a general sense means the power to decide or to command, to impose one s will to others.
As far as the Bible is concerned, it is also authoritative in almost the same way. The authority of God
can be seen in two angles; first, God has the authority over everything, he does whatever He wants. In
Psalms 135:6, it says; Whatever the LORD pleases, He does, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in
all deeps. As it can be seen, everything that is written in the bible has accomplished or is being
accomplished. What God says with is mouth His hands accomplish them. Second, the authority of his
word is infallible; it cannot be broken. His words will stay forever. In John 10:35 (KJV), the last
sentence says, ...and the scripture cannot be broken.

Analysis Case Study on the Use of Business Analytics Framework Moneyball movie is about the war
between intuition and statistics. I would start my analysis with one of the many interesting quotes in
the movie. The problem we re trying to solve is that there are rich teams and there are poor teams, then
there s 50 feet of crap, and then there s us. It s an unfair game. And now we ve been gutted. We re like
organ donors for the rich. Boston s taken our kidneys, Yankees have taken our heart. And you guys sit

This movie centers on the character of Billy Beane, general manager of Major League Baseball s

The Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang
For decades the Big Bang theory has been the leading theory on the beginning of our universe.
Alternate theories come and go, but mainly go. As new data and research are continually eliminating
alternatives to the standard model of cosmology, the Big Bang just keeps getting stronger.
Before discussing the alternate theories to the Big Bang theory, the basics of the early universe should
first be understood. The main points opposing the theory are based around a few aspects that will be
defined in the explanation of the early universe. These points include inflation, dark matter and dark
energy, the cosmic microwave background (CMB), and red shift.
The theory states that the universe sprung from a singularity – an ... Show more content on

These stars burned so hot that they would have emitted both visible light and huge amounts of UV
radiation. This radiation would have been able to break up hydrogen atoms, ending the dark ages.
However, these super hot stars could not live long enough to produce this effect. They burned hot and
fast, and died after only a million years. The smaller dying stars exploded, shooting material into
space, and the larger stars collapsed to create black holes.
The reactions within these huge stars created new elements, heavier elements such as oxygen and
carbon. Lemonick (2006) explains how these elements allowed the gaseous clouds to collapse this
time into much smaller stars than their predecessors, stars like our sun. And like the sun, they would
have started out generating lots of ultraviolet light before settling down to a more sedate existence (p.
4). These smaller stars had the lifespan to be able to ionize the hydrogen. It was at this time that the
dark ages came to an end. Some scientists theorize that it was X rays and UV light spewed from black
holes that brought a close to this dark time, but perhaps it was both of these theories that finally
brought light to our universe.
As more complex telescopes are being created, scientists can get closer to observing the formation of
early galaxies. In visual observation, redshift now comes into play. Edwin Hubble discovered in the
1920s that the light of far away galaxies have a wavelength that has been

The State Of The United States Lotteries
In the United States, lotteries are coordinated by the legislature amid the colonial and revolutionary
period to raise assets which would be used to support infrastructure, bridges and schools. Amid the
post civil war, Congress authorized a progression of preventive policies which banned lottery
activities. From 1895 to 1963, each state banned lotteries and vetoed them as a source of
compensation. Consequently, in 1963, the state lottery was reinstated as a government, enterprise and
an origin of income by the state of New Hampshire. In many states the administration runs the lottery
as an imposing business model on a substantial scale for organized gambling. The only legal
competition that the lottery has, is with other state governments, ... Show more content on

The profit from managing the state lottery is measured as a tax on tickets sold for 60% of the public
adults that play (Hyman, 2014, p397).
When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they divided his clothes among the four of them. They also
took his robe, but it was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom. So they said, Rather than
tearing it apart, let s throw dice for it. This fulfilled the Scripture that says, They divided my garments
among themselves and threw dice for my clothing. So that is what they did (John 19:23 24 NLT)
Lotteries are in a general sense not the same as other gambling in one essential way: they are afforded
only by the state. The lottery is more than a disputable approach to add a minimal expenditure to state
capitals. Some may argue that lotteries are a tax on the underprivileged, a tax on individuals who are
mathematically challenged, even a tax on the stupid, but most people don t actually believe the lottery
is a tax. According to Henry Fielding Lotteries are taxable, upon all the fools in creation; And Heav n
be praised, it is easily raised, Credulity s always in Fashion; For, Folly s a Fund, will never lose
Ground; While Fools are so rife in the Nation (Henry Fielding, 1989, p 215). As stated by Business
Insider lotteries are regressive taxes on underprivileged individuals, in that a ticket costs somewhat
more for a deprived individual than a wealthy individual, and punitive taxes on poor people and

Speech On Maya Angelou
Maya Angelou Imagine this: it s the early 1990 s, the day of Bill Clinton s inauguration speech. A poet
was invited to write and read the first inaugural poem. It went like this: Here, on the pulse of this new
day, / You may have the grace to look up and out / And into your sister s eyes, and into / Your brother s
face, your country /And say simply / Very simply / With hope Good morning. This is Maya Angelou s
poem titled On the Pulse of Morning , just one of many of her works that were influenced by her life.
At this moment it was influenced by the loss of one of her greatest friends, Martin Luther King Jr.

The Case Of Murphy Vs Brentwood District Council
The fundamental principle with respect to latent damage was already set out by Lord Bridge in a well
known case of Murphy vs Brentwood District Council (1991) 1 AC 398 that if a builder builds a
structure that comprises a latent defect which later causes the injury to person or any damage to other
property, he will be liable in tort. However, if the latent defect just damages the building or system
itself and can be repaired at a cost, then that loss will be purely economic loss and cannot be recovered
in tort. Before the Murphy vs Brentwood case it was thought that one element of a building could be
considered as distinct from another element, so that damage to one part of the structure/element
caused by an unseen defect in another part ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

of chilled water pipes. Linklaters got collateral warranties from Main contractor and subcontractor

there was just a small paper work. McAlpine received complete indemnity for any breach of sub

Introduction
When one speak of the word diversity, odds are the first thing that comes to mind is either race or
gender, when in fact it is a whole lot more that can be considered and not just race alone. It can be
diverse ideas, diverse training, diverse cultural, diverse academic abilities, and diverse skills. Diversity
Management is the practice of recognizing and supporting multiple lifestyles and personal
characteristics within a group of people. In today s workplace diversity is not a norm but also an
encouraged workplace makeup from employees, shareholders, government, and employers. Diversity

Summary
Some direct opposite results of an ineffective diversity management program is poor top level
management and low and poor organization visibility. (Human Resource Management) Poor
leadership can lead to poor organization morale, low employee retention and commitment, and
ultimately organizational failure.

Project Evaluation Of A Clinical Practice Project
I have conducted a clinical practice project within the emergency department triage area in which I
work. Evidence based research show that inefficiencies and delay of patient care may result in
undesirable patient satisfaction and poor patient outcomes. Through a comprehensive and
collaborative process, I will implement operational changes of two triage systems; quick triage and
Twiage. The implementations of both of these systems will allow the department to accommodate the
increased patient volume and improve the patient wait times, thus improving the quality of care and
increasing patient satisfaction. This paper will include the current triaging problem, an organization
that supports my chosen clinical project, proposed solutions, my ... Show more content on

This current problem correlates with other issues within the emergency department. A study was
performed by the Institute of Medicine (IOM) demonstrating the six components of the evaluations of
the quality of one s care; Safety, effectiveness, patient centered care, efficiency, time, and equitability
(Strang, Crotts, Johnson, Hartling, Guttman, 2015). The scope of my project involves training,
education and changing the way our department interacts with arriving patients and the triaging
process. The lack of specific tasks and communication in the triage area also lives. A dearth in
communication has been directly linked to delays in patient care, medication errors, and lack of
accountability (Sayah, Rogers, Devarajan, Kingsley Rocker, Lobon, 2014). With the use of
appropriate quick triage, communication, and transfer of patients one can implement targeted goals in
triage (Craig et at., 2016). The organization I selected to support my clinical project is The World
Health Organization (WHO). The WHO is one of the most effective organizations for advocating and
building healthier lives around the world. Their primary goal is to promote health with the use of
evidence based research and resources (WHO, 2017). The WHO has developed the emergency triage
assessment and treatment (ETAT). They teach emergent treatment skills of triaging

Education Of A School s Physical Education Program
education in a school system equally. Looking at it from this standpoint, we can say physical
education will have meaning when all of these factors are contributed and put together. We have to
work together to implement physical education in the schools, but it will all be worth it in the long run
(France, 2011, p.51). Staff, as stated from the article written by Huberty, is a big part of a school s
physical education program. Most of the participants and staff from this study believe physical activity
is important, but limited because of the amount of homework given, pressure from peers, and the lack
of ability to perform at home because of limited equipment. I believe all of these factors are important
because this is something very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Taking into consideration those factors and learning to differentiate lessons for those students is very
important for success and building of a physical education program. The most important part about a
physical education lesson is so each and every student is participating to his or her fullest and best
ability, while also learning something. Whether or not a lesson has to be differentiated or adapted, they
should all be learning (Ebbeck, 2015, p. 54). Saving the best for last, obesity. According to schools in
Texas and Governor Rick Perry, these schools will be participating in physical education to reduce the
beginning of diabetes. Since America is considered overweight, they did not think there was a better
way to hopefully decrease obesity than to incorporate more physical education in to schools.
Kindergarten through fifth grade graders are required to exert for thirty minutes during PE or
structured recess, which students will begin this fall (Obesity, 2007, p.1). This also goes along with the
taking away of recesses. We should not be taking away things, which benefit our students lives.
Overall, physical education courses can help a students overall well being and health. This is the goal
they aim to pursue at these Texas schools. They also are requiring mandatory testing based upon levels

Comparing Velazquez And Picasso s Paintings
Velazquez and Picasso made two similar painting s, both named las meninas. Both of the painting s
represent a princess being helped by her maids or helpers. While Picasso s was very abstract,
Velazquez s was very realistic. While Picasso s painting focused more on the princess, Velazquez s
painting focused more on the maids/helpers.
Picasso s painting is the thought of the first paragraph. Picasso was a very abstract artist. He almost
made his painting s with stain glass. In the painting he made he made the princess very big and
beautiful. The maid stood by making her look beautiful. I think Picasso was portraying that real
beauty comes from the ones you least expect. Although the princess was, well a princess, she could
only become beautiful with the help of her maids, if her maids weren t there then she wouldn t be
pretty. Although her maids aren t pretty that doesn t mean that true beauty comes from the outside, and
that s what I think picasso was trying to portray. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

princess. It shows maids running around grabbing things and putting them on the princess to get her

There is also a dog and many maids surrounding the dog and bowing to the princess. While the
princess stands there and has no emotion. This painting was titled las meninas. A very fitting title
because the princess does nothing while all the detail is set on the maids that are attending to the

The Youth Violence Prevention Special Report presented by the Minneapolis Health Department

Therefore, to reduce youth violence, it is necessary to make wraparound services available to youth
also available to families. Without supporting families, efforts to curtail youth violence cannot be as
effective.
Theme: The Greater Minneapolis Community Has the Resources to Reduce Youth Violence.
A consistent theme that at risk youth raise in discussions with community social workers is the desire
to have a job. Minneapolis has done a great deal of work in connecting youth to employers through
program such as Step up and Pathways . These programs give any adolescence, at risk or not, a unique
opportunity to build purpose and nurture relationships with potential future employers. These
programs help to create positive life trajectories for youth.
The Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) has operated a highly successful afterschool program for
years. Over the last 15 years, the funding for the program has declined precipitously. Limited funds
have made it challenging for MPS to keep the program staffed with teachers, relying on an
inconsistent flow of volunteers instead. The afterschool program is an invaluable resource in the effort
to reduce youth violence. Instead of unsupervised and unstructured time, the program keeps youth
focused on completing homework, developing skills, exposes them to mentors, and allows parents to

Art Reflection Paper
When I visited the Tampa Museum of Art, I walked around looking at all of the beautiful artwork on
display. I chose a piece that stuck out to me and reminded me of the carnivals and fairs I went to
growing up in my hometown with family. Choosing just one piece to write about was a difficult
decision, but I chose to write about Carrousels by Don Jacot. This piece was created with oil on linen
in 1992 and is 50x72 . I believe the subject matter of this piece has to do with childhood and
memories. I noticed in this piece that there were not many people on the rides or around the picture at
all. This interested me, so I decided to look at other artworks he has created and most of the others are
empty as well. I feel this has something to do with him having an empty childhood, but still has the
memories of him going out. He also tends to lean more towards using the brighter primary colors such
as red, blue, and yellow. I figured he chose these because a child would be more fascinated in
something bright and colorful instead of dull and plain. One of the formal elements that stood out to
me the most was color. I chose this because color is such a big aspect in this piece of work. Blue, red,
and yellow are the most used in this work and are brightly intensified. The vibrant colors caught my
eye right away when I saw the picture. The second formal element that is shown in this picture is line.
I feel this element goes with the picture because there are many geometrical shapes and lines that
direct you to certain aspects. One of the main eye catching features is the Ferris wheel in the
background. The wheel catches the eye because all of the lines in the middle draw attention to it. The
tents on top of the rides in the back, the fence, and poles/bars on the ride are all very clean cut. Overall
the lines in the work lead your eye all around the composition of the piece. Another element that I
thought this picture has is shape. Shape is significant as well because the lines in the picture form
these figures. For example, the lines that are used on top of the ride tents form triangles, which lead
back to shape. This picture includes many geometrical forms all around the work such as the
rectangular benches, the

Brace Your Beard Research Paper
Brace Your Beards: Winter is Coming
To some people a beard is nothing more than a facial feature, but to others it is the ultimate form of
self expression. Even at a first glance it is easy to differentiate between a beard that is result of careful
grooming and that which stems from simply not shaving. In other words, growing a true manly beard
takes time, knowledge and no small amount of patience. Coincidently, these values are something that
a real man is supposed to possess, which is why manscaping stands as a symbol of manliness.
So far, we talked about the commitment needed to grow a beard, but the most important thing about it
is the upkeep. This means washing your beard regularly, trimming it whenever possible and using a
wide array of quality products. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as an ultimate tip for skin care,
since there are numerous variables to take into consideration. Amongst them, the two most important
are your skin and hair type as well as the climate conditions. Because of this, you need to pay special
attention during the winter period and here are few tips that may help you out.

The last thing you want is for your beard to get wet from snow or ice. Although having an icy beard

temperature can leave your hair quite brittle, which means that it can be prone to breaking. Seeing

My First Day As A Kindergartener
My First day as a Kindergartener
One day afternoon, in my first day of kindergarten as I got out of school I was waiting for my mom to
pick me up and sign me out from my teachers signout list, in order to be released. However, as I

began to leave, the classroom started to become more empty. Then as I waited, I finally got called to
be released but I didn t see my mom. I saw a strange woman smiling towards me and asking me how
my day went as I got closer, but I didn t answer. As I walked towards my teacher and the woman I was
really confused and a million things began to cross my mind. The woman had many children with her
which made me feel really doubtful even though I thought they were her children. However, I then
realized that there were too many children in order for them to be hers. So, if they weren t her children
who were they? Or even a more intriguing question; Who was she? Getting to know her was not so
difficult, as I thought it would be. Even though I didn t say much about myself when she began
questioning me I felt there was going to be a connection between us. As we had walked for a while

In The Moor s Last Sigh, Salman Rushdie uses the complex and changing character of the Moor to
represent a complex and changing image of India. By making the eclectic family history of the Da
Gama Zogoiby family the central theme in the first two parts of the novel, Rushdie portrays India as a
culturally and religiously pluralistic society. This pluralistic society is layered by violence caused by
the corruption of multiplicity by various characters and the threat of Hindu fundamentalism. As
pluralism is defeated by fascism in Part Three of the novel, the nature of the violence changes

The Zogoiby s diverse history entails attempts to embrace many of these ideals. The eclectic cultural
backgrounds of the Zogoiby family are representative of pluralism in India. The Da Gamas are
Portuguese Catholics while the Zogoibys are Moorish Jews. All of the Moor s ancestors blatantly
reject religion and embrace secularism: an arguably important component of pluralism. When
Camoens went to see Gandhi speak, he told his wife Belle, I hear nothing. I had seen India s beauty in
that crowd with its soda water and cucumber but with that God stuff I got scared (Rushdie 55).
Another example of pluralism within the Zogoiby family is Aurora s artwork, especially her childhood
paintings in which she strives to represent the variety and multiplicity in the vision of the world and
the vision of India. As Aurora ages, however, her childhood visions of pluralism are significantly
changed.
Although Aurora s later paintings also embrace pluralism, they reveal possible catastrophe: A place
where worlds collide, flow in and out of one another, and washofy away. Place where an air man can
drowno in water, or else grow gills; where a water creature can get drunk, but also chokeofy on air.

Shakespeare s thoughts on Modern Culture
To aide in this paper, I have chosen the song We didn t start the Fire, by Billy Joel to help provide
modern events that William Shakespeare s works can relate to. Shakespeare s plethora of works
provide information about his thoughts on society during his life. Many events and topics that are seen
in modern culture are relatable to events that occurred during Shakespeare s life, such as government,
assassinations, and controversies. Shakespeare s characters from his many plays reflect his thoughts
and provide an instant ability to connect modern culture back through Shakespeare s writing.
Government in England during the time of Shakespeare s life consisted of a Monarchy.
In the United States the governmental system used is a Representative Democracy (Kurtus).
Shakespeare in his life had a strong view on government, Fit to be govern? You re not fit to live,
(Macbeth) Shakespeare writes this as Macduff frets over the future of Scotland with Macbeth in
command. Shakespeare writes these lines talking about Macbeth, but the lines send a message about
Shakespeare s thoughts on government. Shakespeare s opinions would still be strong today, with
corrupt political systems, the United States needs a man such as William Shakespeare to bring
attention through literature to the ruins of our nation s political system.
Literature has been a crucial part in the

Gravimetric Analysis Of Copper Chloride Hydrate
Chemical formulas are central to chemistry; they describe, identify, and predict the properties of
compounds. Chemical formulas can be found by a process called gravimetric analysis in which
components of a compound are isolated, their masses are found, and the mass differences recorded.
Gravimetric analysis can be helpful when finding the formula of an ionic hydrate, an ionic crystal
bound to water molecules because it allows for the mass of water to be found allowing for further
separation of the remaining elements in the ionic compound. When water is removed from an ionic
hydrate, the ionic hydrate becomes an anhydrous ionic compound. Additionally, because of the Law of

drops of 6M HNO3. Following the isolation of the copper, it was separated from the solution with a
BĂźchner funnel and flask. A piece of filter paper was weighed, and its mass was recorded. Then, the
filter paper was placed on the vacuum flask, which was turned on, and the copper solution was poured
over it. The copper was also rinsed with 95% ethanol solution before being set on a paper towel to dry.
Finally, one day after the previous step, the copper was weighed, and its mass recorded. The recorded
masses were then used to determine the mass of copper, chlorine, and water in the unknown copper
chloride hydrate. The resulting masses were used to find the formula of the unknown copper chloride
hydrate according to CuxClynH2O.
Results
The mass of water in the unknown Copper Chloride Hydrate is 0.22g, as found by the difference in
mass between the sample before and after heating. The mass of copper is 0.29 grams, and the mass of
chlorine is 0.49 grams. These values were found by isolating the copper then subtracting the mass of
the copper from the mass of the sample after heating to determine the mass of chlorine. The masses
were converted into moles with the general formula 1 mole/Molar Mass x mass of given
element/compound. For example, the moles of copper were found by multiplying 0.29 grams by 1
mole/63.546 grams (Molar Mass of copper),

Haber Process One World Essay
The Haber Process, also known as the Haber Bosch Process, was discovered in the first half of the
20th Century, by a man named Fritz Haber. The Haber could be considered to be a very high on
technological advance/discovery in the past 100 years. The world has had many mixed opinions on
Fritz Haber and his development of the Haber Process. The manufacture of Ammonia has a lot of
history and science behind it, it has impacted our history as well as our present day, mainly in our
environment. Fritz Haber and Carl Bosch, two German Chemists, developed the Haber Process, in the
early 1900s, as ammonia was very difficult to produce on a high ... Show more content on

Though, 80% of ammonia produced is used in agriculture for fertilizers (Ammonia, Wikipedia), it is
also used for refrigerant gas, to purify water supplies, and in the manufacturing of explosives, fabrics,
pesticides and many other chemicals (health.ny.gov). Ammonia is a in house hold cleaning supplies.
The cleaning solution for bigger projects, industrial use contains larger amounts of ammonia and will
cause irritation. There also have been some negative uses, thoughts, and effects of the Haber Process.
With the Haber Process, the nitrogen cycle is thrown off track, and it creates an imbalance, due to that
large amount of extraction from our atmosphere. To complete the process, there is a high fossil fuel
input, as you require 400 550oC and that uses a lot of energy. When ammonia enters the body, due to
breathing, it sometimes reacts with water to produce ammonium hydroxide. This is very corrosive
chemical and has been known to damage cells in the body that it comes in contact with. During World
War 1, the Germans took the research used by the German Chemists, to kill troops that were stuck in
trenches, with Ammonia poisoning. Every good thing comes with a side of bad effects, and Haber and
Bosch s discovery had almost a full serving of bad. Though we still use ammonia in our day to day
lives, as well has for industrial purposes, there are many ways that it has impacted us negatively.

Chariots Of Fire Essay
Chariots of Fire presents two main characters that are vastly different from one another. Eric Liddel is
a religious man who values his beliefs and runs for God s pleasure. Harold Abrahams is a determined
Jewish man who runs to prove that he is more than what others see. The director purposely films
Chariots of Fire by presenting characterization in Abrahams character by using different dialogue and
internal action, and in Eric s character by using different external action and the reactions of other
characters towards him. In Chariots of Fire, the director portrays the life of two contrasting characters
that both run for completely different reasons. Harold Abrahams is one of these dedicated runners and
runs against jewish prejudice. Abrahams ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Eric s characterization is shown through the use of his external actions and how other characters react
towards him. Eric s strong values and beliefs set him apart from other characters, such as Abrahams,
in the film. The external action of a character is the most obvious form of characterization. This type
of characterization works with Eric s character because his actions, large and small, say a lot about his
character in the film. Eric s religion says that Sunday, the day of Sabbath, should be a day of rest and
no sports. Although Eric s race is scheduled on a Sunday he refuses to run due to his beliefs. This
action of refusing to run emphasizes his character s dedication to religion and to God. Eric s purpose
in running for God results in people respecting him and admiring him. His sister, Jennie, admires him
due to his missionary work and at the end of the film she believes that his running brings God
pleasure. When other characters talk to Eric, such as other athletes, they respect his beliefs and values.
The admiration for Eric from all these characters is obvious at the conclusion of the film when his
victory is so celebrated. The emphasis on Eric s beliefs and values further differentiates himself from

Artificial Hysteria
Artificial Hysteria The Ed op article Every day, an all new you (2017), written by Robert M. Sapolsky
suggests that Donald Trump becoming President of the United States despite seeming to have a
gloomy outcome, humans are unable to predict the future legitimately. So, Trump may actually be a
great President. The author s intended audience is people who believe Trump s presidency will have
world ending consequences. To paraphrase, M. Sapolsky s article, scientists have done a study that
proved humans believe that history closes at present day. M. Sapolsky uses this study in order to show
that people who believe Trump s presidency will be a cataclysmic event are worrying over an
uncertainty because people have no way of predicting the future

The Development of AI in The AI Revolution is on by...
When the earth began there was no life, it was a world of fire and oceans of lava, after thousands of
year s life began in the ocean and soon came onto land. The land creatures developed into dinosaurs
which ruled the world for thousands of years until a meteor wiped them out and a great ice age came.
Once the ice age ended monkeys came and from them humans. We have been around for two thousand
years and now we have created artificial intelligence which is becoming more and more integrated
into our ever increasingly complicated world to make it simpler but have humans also created the next
cycle of evolution? The AI Revolution is on by Steven Levy is about Artificial intelligence (AI). Levy
writes about how the AI came around and how it affects our daily life. Levy explains impeccably how
its developers strayed away from imitating human intelligence, and how it is integrated into our
society. Levy has been reporting on digital technology for over twenty five years and his articles have
been published in many distinguished magazines according to Writing and Reading Across the
Curriculum. Levy s article begins by talking about how robots are used in ware houses that are linked
to a main computer that tells the robots what they need to get. The ware house is organized in small
groups of products spread out threw out it, this way the robots don t have to travel as far to get the
product but to a human it looks like a random pile or stuff that isn t sorted at all. Levy goes on

Music With Profanity Research Paper
Music with Profanity Every parent out there wants absolutely nothing but the best for their children. In
life, parents will do anything to make sure their kids have more than what they did. They strive to
make sure their kids to do whatever it takes to become successful in this world. As you are raised, you
are taught to never talk to strangers, always respect your elders, and never use profanity. Our parents
were raised in a whole different domain before we were brought into this world. So many daily things
have changed, from the way we turn on the television in the morning to how we get to school or work.
Things have transformed; for example, explicit music was not criticized as much as it is now because
music was very monitored back then. In those days, profanity wasn t ever heard of because it was
banned in almost every household. Music containing profanity does not appeal to most adults because
of their maturity level and values in life; but it does appeal to teens because of their maturity level,
rebellious behavior, and their naive mindset. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They were raised to listen to what their parents considered suitable for children. Our parents were
taught that if you can t say it in church then it shouldn t be said at all therefore you shouldn t listen to
something that can t be said in church. They feel like profanity only appeals to us as teens because we
can t use them on a regular basis which gives teens that feel of power while listening to these songs.
Profanity is a noun that has impacted so many people in this world. It is combined with music which
surrounds us on a daily basis: how do parents not expect it to not be heard? This type of music is
always being looked down upon because parents feel their children will turn this in to a rebellious
action when in reality we listen to this music because it has a great rhythm or

Humans And Replicants In Ridley Scott s Blade Runner
Ridley Scott s 1982 Blade Runner presents viewers with a dystopian world of Los Angeles where
genetically engineered robots known as Replicants, are executed in an emotionless and indifferent
procedure called retirement by special police operatives called Blade Runners. The interactions
between humans and Replicants highlight the diminishing state of humanity that humans have brought
upon themselves. This is not only shown through the conflicting yet human ambitions of the
Replicants, but contrasted with the cold and gloomy depiction of humans as a whole. Humans are
additionally depicted to be ignorant of the many similarities between Replicants and themselves, often
due to a lack of empathy. These depictions of Replicants as a more emotionally attached species
prompt viewers to make a somewhat ironic conclusion: that they portray greater humanity than actual
humans. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This yearning for success and identification is what drives human development and progression.
However, the humans of Blade Runner seem to not realise the importance of accomplishing goals.
Instead, it is the Replicants who portray a more human like mindset and the struggles of Roy Batty
and Pris for a lengthier time on Earth are followed throughout the novel. Roy is depicted as a strong,
handsome and intellectual man, and this gives the audience the sense that he is self aware and capable
of achieving goals. The recurring motif of eyes demonstrates the constant desire for self awareness,
for human identity. Both Replicants experience great hardship and go to extreme lengths to achieve
both goals. While they do not succeed, it is their attempt to conquer them is what makes them more

but more often than not, most Americans do possess a skill set that can be used to create individual

Immigrants are educated on exactly what their economy is in their own country as well as what going
on in America. The lack of education, in relation to the economy, displays an unfortunate example of
what Americans are being taught in today s society. Citizens of this country should be informed on
exactly how our economy works instead of foreigners migrating here and operate under those success
principles and achieve that so called American Dream. Migrants come with a clear sense of exactly
how to truly be successful by creating personal wealth. Immigrants are nearly 30 percent more likely
to start a business than nonimmigrant s, and they represent 16.7 percent of all new business owners in
the United States. Nearly 30 percent of all new business owners per month in New York, Florida, and

Common Hour Book Report

Be Curious Library Assignment
Common Hour: Cassie Harbeck
The books I decided on checking out included the titles Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi
Adichie and Noughts Crosses by Malorie Blackman. I have been interested in these particular novels
for quite some time since they were on my summer reading list. These books were on my list because
I enjoy stories that discuss race. Needless to say, I never had the chance to read either book for various
reasons. Entering the DePaul library, I was not looking for any specific title. I remembered my
summer list and searched for the two titles. Half of a Yellow Sun was not available through the DePaul
campus library. I was then advised by the librarian to have it transferred from another ... Show more

This was a pleasant surprise and I can t wait until the book arrives. As a result, I searched for another
title which happened to be Noughts Crosses. The online database indicated that the book was
available. I asked a librarian to direct me and we took the elevator up to the eighth floor. He led me in
the right direction and we found the book. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find that the book was
written in a play version. I expected the normal, original edition so I plan on returning this book as
soon as possible. I m still confused as to how I would figure out what floor a book would be on. I want
to visit the library again and ask more questions. Something that was new to me would have to be
taking the elevator up to the eighth floor! My high school library was pretty big with two floors, but
DePaul s campus library is an unfair comparison. I am familiar with using an online database and
checking the availability. I am surprised that our library has

My Favorite Music Essay
I was raised around many types of music, and I have heard many different songs. However, there is
one music group that I have listened to off and on for a very long time. This group is Blue October,
and I have listened to them since I was six years old when my mother first introduced me. The music
from Blue October is ever changing and has been linear to my ever changing life. I love the music that
they make because it is real and alive. I look for sincear songs; Blue October meets this expectation
that I have. The song Into The Ocean is the first song that I had ever heard by them. I remember the
first time I had ever hear that song was on my moms CD plater when her and my dad were still
together. We were living in a two bedroom appartment and I was watching my mother draw big
beautiful paisly prints on thick paper with her shimmery gel pens. While I watched her hands I
listened to the lullaby sound of the violin in the song. Even now, depending on how I feel, I will listen
to the music most. I still borrowed my mothers CD player on numerous occasions. Apparently, I
borrowed it so many times, it was just easier for my mom and dad to save the money to buy me one of
my own. I now could listen to the song over and over as many times as I wanted. This was my very
first CD player. I even got my own pair of headphones. They went over the top of my head and went
over my ears with the thin foam that made sure everyone heard what I was listening to. This CD
player was more

The dramatic rise of information technology has resulted in business managers requiring their
employees to not only be skilled in numeracy, reading, writing, speaking and listening but also I.C.T,
which in itself requires a certain level of numeracy, reading and writing skills in order for them to be
used in a way that meets the departmental or wider organisational goals and objectives. In a much
wider context, literacy is important in order for a country as a whole to remain competitive in an
increasing global market and to retain economic stability. It is extremely important, therefore, to
ensure that mechanisms and tools are in place to help children and adults improve their literacy skills
and that in particular children are better prepared for college and University education or their entry
into the job market. The problem of literacy skills deficiency is not just UK exclusive: it is a global
problem as the ACCI report indicates. Literacy skills have proved to be very important especially in
the modern age where businesses and world economies are driven by the use of technologies for
communication and commercial transactions across the globe. It is the responsibility of the respective
Government of each country to realise the importance of literacy; to invest adequate research funding
into how literacy can be improved in children and adults; develop possible proposals for changes to

South Dakota Landscape
Carrie Breitbach s (2009) The Geographies of a More Just Food System: Building Landscapes for
Social Reproduction revolves around the idea of bringing justice to the food system by rectifying
landscape and social reproduction as a solution in South Dakota. In contrast, Peirce F. Lewis s Axioms
for Reading the Landscape, focuses on how to read and understand landscapes through a set of rules
which he calls axioms. In the Geographic (or Ecological) Axiom, Lewis argues that studying a
landscape outside its location makes no sense in gaining cultural insight on the landscape (1979, 24).
While Don Mitchell (2007, 43) in New Axioms for the Landscape, presents the idea that the shape of
the land provides direction to its social life. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It also details conservative techniques which can be used to preserve the wetlands in Eastern South
Dakota. The USDA in 2007 reported that during 2006 2007, South Dakota sought a 16 percent
increase in acres of corn planted for the production of ethanol (quoted in Bouchard 2007, 59).
Consequently, an increase in corn production could predict a scenario where wetlands begin to be used
for agricultural purposes. The purpose of the wetlands has changed which will have a positive and
negative effect on the economy and the environment. Environmentally, ecosystems are destroyed,
while there is economic growth. The environmental and economic decisions on the wetlands change
its purpose demonstrating that the landscape is simply powerful because it can be

Steroids In Sports Analysis
Issues Analysis Anabolic Steroids in Sport
Anabolic steroids are quiet a big problem in the fitness industry, these drugs are a quick unsafe way to
achieve lean muscle mass. They are used in many competitive sports such as football, baseball and
Olympic type events it s of course prohibited and players are tested but it s not difficult for athletes to
avoid detection. One of the most controversial sports that anabolic steroids is involved with is
bodybuilding, the reason happens to be because of the drug testing policies which allow athletes to
build there muscle with the drug then a couple weeks before the competition the athletes cycle off so
that test results show that there clean. I think the reason that athletes are so obliged to take these
performance enhancing drugs might be peer pressure from coaches, parents, fellow athletes and even
family, for some people it s the idea of winning that drives them into taking these drugs.
One of the main reasons that this drug is prohibited along with being an effective performance
enhancer is its health risks. Athletes abusing this substance suffer from headaches, constant vomiting,
increased chance of physical injury, sleeping problems, high cholesterol and many other heart and
blood related conditions. Some people think the answer to these conditions is to cycle ... Show more

abuse the substance making it more competitive forcing more athletes to use these drugs to stand a

enhancer but also an entertainment enhancer. But it is all a difference in perspective and opinion

Listening To Music Controversy
A big controversy of our generation today is concerning of a topic that many of us praise and could
not live without. In fact, spin.com claims that the average American listens to four hours of music
each day. So is music effective or hurtful to our studying? This may be an eternal topic for we don t
truly have one answer. In numerous ways listening to music is beneficial, belie some studies have
come to find out it can also be harmful. Students should be given the option to listen to music in class,
but whether they choose to take upon this privilege or not is up to them.
Music is there whenever you need it. It s everlasting. We hear it everywhere; the phones that take up
most of our time, the tv in the background, the stores we walk in and out of, in the car getting from ...

You always have to put into consideration that not everyone is the same. If you re the type of person
who has more difficulty multitasking and is easily distracted, listening to music while studying may
just cause your attention to drift to the music rather than help you concentrate on your material
(Goodwin, 2015). The best way to address this controversial topic is It depends . Saying it depends is
just a general statement. It doesn t fully answer the question, but it s an unpopular opinion that goes a
long way. It s simple and can go to either end of the argument. After all, it is true that for most people
doing reading activities is much more difficult than doing math problems. The brain can only store so
much. If all these jumbled words are being thrown at your brain, it is nearly impossible to focus on the
reading instead of the music. Clifford Nass, a professor at Stanford University, theorized, Imagine
trying to learn something while you re on a roller coaster (Castello y Tickell, 2012). I extremely like
this analogy, hence the fact that I can learn with music. I still understand that other people learn in

  • 2. Notes On Inerrancy And Inspiration Essay Fedner Faustin MLA THEO 201 B01 Short Essay on Inerrancy and Inspiration Men, as worshipping creatures, are always looking for a supreme being to adore. They always are looking for the source of truth, and asking many questions regarding what they should believe because there are many sects out there which teach different doctrines, or even deny the deity of God and worship other gods. When it comes to the Holy Bible, people are digging further in the outside world to get some responses that are themselves found in the Bible. One of the questions that is asked the most is: ÂŤ Does the Bible really have Authority? Âť. The Bible is the word of God. As it says in the Bible, the word of God is authoritative, inspired and inerrant. Authority in a general sense means the power to decide or to command, to impose one s will to others. As far as the Bible is concerned, it is also authoritative in almost the same way. The authority of God can be seen in two angles; first, God has the authority over everything, he does whatever He wants. In Psalms 135:6, it says; Whatever the LORD pleases, He does, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps. As it can be seen, everything that is written in the bible has accomplished or is being accomplished. What God says with is mouth His hands accomplish them. Second, the authority of his word is infallible; it cannot be broken. His words will stay forever. In John 10:35 (KJV), the last sentence says, ...and the scripture cannot be broken. ... I would start my analysis with one of the many interesting quotes in the movie. The problem we re trying to solve is that there are rich teams and there are poor teams, then there s 50 feet of crap, and then there s us. It s an unfair game. And now we ve been gutted. We re like organ donors for the rich. Boston s taken our kidneys, Yankees have taken our heart. And you guys sit around talking the same old good body nonsense like we re selling jeans. In the movie, Billy couldn t re sign Oakland s best 3 players after the 2001 season due to having a payroll a fraction of A s competitors. As new data and research are continually eliminating alternatives to the standard model of cosmology, the Big Bang just keeps getting stronger. Before discussing the alternate theories to the Big Bang theory, the basics of the early universe should first be understood. The main points opposing the theory are based around a few aspects that will be defined in the explanation of the early universe. These points include inflation, dark matter and dark energy, the cosmic microwave background (CMB), and red shift. The theory states that the universe sprung from a singularity – an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These stars burned so hot that they would have emitted both visible light and huge amounts of UV radiation. This radiation would have been able to break up hydrogen atoms, ending the dark ages. However, these super hot stars could not live long enough to produce this effect. They burned hot and fast, and died after only a million years. The smaller dying stars exploded, shooting material into space, and the larger stars collapsed to create black holes. The reactions within these huge stars created new elements, heavier elements such as oxygen and carbon. Lemonick (2006) explains how these elements allowed the gaseous clouds to collapse this time into much smaller stars than their predecessors, stars like our sun. And like the sun, they would have started out generating lots of ultraviolet light before settling down to a more sedate existence (p. 4). These smaller stars had the lifespan to be able to ionize the hydrogen. It was at this time that the dark ages came to an end. Some scientists theorize that it was X rays and UV light spewed from black holes that brought a close to this dark time, but perhaps it was both of these theories that finally brought light to our universe. As more complex telescopes are being created, scientists can get closer to observing the formation of early galaxies. In visual observation, redshift now comes into play. • 5. The State Of The United States Lotteries In the United States, lotteries are coordinated by the legislature amid the colonial and revolutionary period to raise assets which would be used to support infrastructure, bridges and schools. Amid the post civil war, Congress authorized a progression of preventive policies which banned lottery activities. From 1895 to 1963, each state banned lotteries and vetoed them as a source of compensation. Consequently, in 1963, the state lottery was reinstated as a government, enterprise and an origin of income by the state of New Hampshire. In many states the administration runs the lottery as an imposing business model on a substantial scale for organized gambling. The profit from managing the state lottery is measured as a tax on tickets sold for 60% of the public adults that play (Hyman, 2014, p397). When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they divided his clothes among the four of them. They also took his robe, but it was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom. So they said, Rather than tearing it apart, let s throw dice for it. This fulfilled the Scripture that says, They divided my garments among themselves and threw dice for my clothing. So that is what they did (John 19:23 24 NLT) Lotteries are in a general sense not the same as other gambling in one essential way: they are afforded only by the state. The lottery is more than a disputable approach to add a minimal expenditure to state capitals. Some may argue that lotteries are a tax on the underprivileged, a tax on individuals who are mathematically challenged, even a tax on the stupid, but most people don t actually believe the lottery is a tax. According to Henry Fielding Lotteries are taxable, upon all the fools in creation; And Heav n be praised, it is easily raised, Credulity s always in Fashion; For, Folly s a Fund, will never lose Ground; While Fools are so rife in the Nation (Henry Fielding, 1989, p 215). The scope of my project involves training, education and changing the way our department interacts with arriving patients and the triaging process. The lack of specific tasks and communication in the triage area also lives. A dearth in communication has been directly linked to delays in patient care, medication errors, and lack of accountability (Sayah, Rogers, Devarajan, Kingsley Rocker, Lobon, 2014). With the use of appropriate quick triage, communication, and transfer of patients one can implement targeted goals in triage (Craig et at., 2016). • 15. Art Reflection Paper When I visited the Tampa Museum of Art, I walked around looking at all of the beautiful artwork on display. I chose a piece that stuck out to me and reminded me of the carnivals and fairs I went to growing up in my hometown with family. Choosing just one piece to write about was a difficult decision, but I chose to write about Carrousels by Don Jacot. This piece was created with oil on linen in 1992 and is 50x72 . I believe the subject matter of this piece has to do with childhood and memories. I noticed in this piece that there were not many people on the rides or around the picture at all. This interested me, so I decided to look at other artworks he has created and most of the others are empty as well. I feel this has something to do with him having an empty childhood, but still has the memories of him going out. He also tends to lean more towards using the brighter primary colors such as red, blue, and yellow. I figured he chose these because a child would be more fascinated in something bright and colorful instead of dull and plain. One of the formal elements that stood out to me the most was color. I chose this because color is such a big aspect in this piece of work. Blue, red, and yellow are the most used in this work and are brightly intensified. The vibrant colors caught my eye right away when I saw the picture. The second formal element that is shown in this picture is line. I feel this element goes with the picture because there are many geometrical shapes and lines that direct you to certain aspects. One of the main eye catching features is the Ferris wheel in the background. The wheel catches the eye because all of the lines in the middle draw attention to it. The tents on top of the rides in the back, the fence, and poles/bars on the ride are all very clean cut. Overall the lines in the work lead your eye all around the composition of the piece. Another element that I thought this picture has is shape. Shape is significant as well because the lines in the picture form these figures. For example, the lines that are used on top of the ride tents form triangles, which lead back to shape. This picture includes many geometrical forms all around the work such as the rectangular benches, the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Even at a first glance it is easy to differentiate between a beard that is result of careful grooming and that which stems from simply not shaving. In other words, growing a true manly beard takes time, knowledge and no small amount of patience. Coincidently, these values are something that a real man is supposed to possess, which is why manscaping stands as a symbol of manliness. So far, we talked about the commitment needed to grow a beard, but the most important thing about it is the upkeep. This means washing your beard regularly, trimming it whenever possible and using a wide array of quality products. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as an ultimate tip for skin care, since there are numerous variables to take into consideration. William Shakespeare s We Didn t Start The Fire Patrick Baker Mrs. Conn Honors English II 24 November 2015 Shakespeare s thoughts on Modern Culture To aide in this paper, I have chosen the song We didn t start the Fire, by Billy Joel to help provide modern events that William Shakespeare s works can relate to. Shakespeare s plethora of works provide information about his thoughts on society during his life. Many events and topics that are seen in modern culture are relatable to events that occurred during Shakespeare s life, such as government, assassinations, and controversies. Shakespeare s characters from his many plays reflect his thoughts and provide an instant ability to connect modern culture back through Shakespeare s writing. Government in England during the time of Shakespeare s life consisted of a Monarchy. In the United States the governmental system used is a Representative Democracy (Kurtus). Shakespeare in his life had a strong view on government, Fit to be govern? • 20. Gravimetric Analysis Of Copper Chloride Hydrate Chemical formulas are central to chemistry; they describe, identify, and predict the properties of compounds. Chemical formulas can be found by a process called gravimetric analysis in which components of a compound are isolated, their masses are found, and the mass differences recorded. Gravimetric analysis can be helpful when finding the formula of an ionic hydrate, an ionic crystal bound to water molecules because it allows for the mass of water to be found allowing for further separation of the remaining elements in the ionic compound. When water is removed from an ionic hydrate, the ionic hydrate becomes an anhydrous ionic compound. Additionally, because of the Law of Definite Proportions, the ratio of moles of water released to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The wire reacted with the solution to yield copper; any remaining aluminum was dissolved with a few drops of 6M HNO3. Following the isolation of the copper, it was separated from the solution with a BĂźchner funnel and flask. A piece of filter paper was weighed, and its mass was recorded. Then, the filter paper was placed on the vacuum flask, which was turned on, and the copper solution was poured over it. The copper was also rinsed with 95% ethanol solution before being set on a paper towel to dry. Finally, one day after the previous step, the copper was weighed, and its mass recorded. The recorded masses were then used to determine the mass of copper, chlorine, and water in the unknown copper chloride hydrate. The resulting masses were used to find the formula of the unknown copper chloride hydrate according to CuxClynH2O. Results The mass of water in the unknown Copper Chloride Hydrate is 0.22g, as found by the difference in mass between the sample before and after heating. The mass of copper is 0.29 grams, and the mass of chlorine is 0.49 grams. These values were found by isolating the copper then subtracting the mass of the copper from the mass of the sample after heating to determine the mass of chlorine. The masses were converted into moles with the general formula 1 mole/Molar Mass x mass of given element/compound. For example, the moles of copper were found by multiplying 0.29 grams by 1 mole/63.546 grams (Molar Mass of copper), ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Haber Process Essay Tejas Gandesha Ms. Rajeev Science 10 Tuesday, October 24, 2017 Haber Process One World Essay The Haber Process, also known as the Haber Bosch Process, was discovered in the first half of the 20th Century, by a man named Fritz Haber. The Haber could be considered to be a very high on technological advance/discovery in the past 100 years. The world has had many mixed opinions on Fritz Haber and his development of the Haber Process. The manufacture of Ammonia has a lot of history and science behind it, it has impacted our history as well as our present day, mainly in our environment. Fritz Haber and Carl Bosch, two German Chemists, developed the Haber Process, in the early 1900s, as ammonia was very difficult to produce on a high ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Though, 80% of ammonia produced is used in agriculture for fertilizers (Ammonia, Wikipedia), it is also used for refrigerant gas, to purify water supplies, and in the manufacturing of explosives, fabrics, pesticides and many other chemicals (health.ny.gov). Ammonia is a in house hold cleaning supplies. The cleaning solution for bigger projects, industrial use contains larger amounts of ammonia and will cause irritation. There also have been some negative uses, thoughts, and effects of the Haber Process. With the Haber Process, the nitrogen cycle is thrown off track, and it creates an imbalance, due to that large amount of extraction from our atmosphere. To complete the process, there is a high fossil fuel input, as you require 400 550oC and that uses a lot of energy. When ammonia enters the body, due to breathing, it sometimes reacts with water to produce ammonium hydroxide. This is very corrosive chemical and has been known to damage cells in the body that it comes in contact with. During World War 1, the Germans took the research used by the German Chemists, to kill troops that were stuck in trenches, with Ammonia poisoning. Every good thing comes with a side of bad effects, and Haber and Bosch s discovery had almost a full serving of bad. Though we still use ammonia in our day to day lives, as well has for industrial purposes, there are many ways that it has impacted us negatively. One of the biggest subject that has ... Eric s strong values and beliefs set him apart from other characters, such as Abrahams, in the film. The external action of a character is the most obvious form of characterization. This type of characterization works with Eric s character because his actions, large and small, say a lot about his character in the film. Eric s religion says that Sunday, the day of Sabbath, should be a day of rest and no sports. Although Eric s race is scheduled on a Sunday he refuses to run due to his beliefs. This action of refusing to run emphasizes his character s dedication to religion and to God. Eric s purpose in running for God results in people respecting him and admiring him. His sister, Jennie, admires him due to his missionary work and at the end of the film she believes that his running brings God pleasure.
