Presentation on the project work which was a compulsory requirement to complete my graduation on textile engineering.
Our Project topic was: Unveiling an ESourcing platform fostering sustainable transformation in the textile industry of Bangladesh.
3. Textile sourcing is the specific process of procuring textiles, fabrics, and related materials from suppliers or
manufacturers to meet the needs of businesses in the textile and apparel industry. This project work aims to address the
challenges associated with textile sourcing and providing a reasonable solution to solve some of these challenges.
Trough the implementation of innovative sourcing strategies and dynamic growth initiatives, our project seeks to
enhance the effectiveness of the textile sourcing methods. The primary focus of our project is on optimizing cost and
time for textile sourcing to make sourcing easier and speeding up the sourcing process. With focus on optimizing cost
and time factors, we recognize the significance of balancing these aspects without compromising the quality of
materials. To tackle the challenges, we have developed a textile “e-sourcing” solution in the form of a website and app,
specifically tailored to the context of the Bangladesh textile industry. By analyzing the specific challenges faced by
Bangladeshi textile industries and conducting survey among corporate personnel regarding e-sourcing, we envision
this project as a catalyst for shaping critical aspects of the textile sourcing industry in the country.

13. METHODOLOGY
📊 Methodologies for developing the e-sourcing platform and conducting the survey:
1️⃣ Contacted merchandisers and corporate personnel to understand the current sourcing
process and challenges.
2️⃣ Developed a prototype for a multivendor e-commerce website using HTML, CSS,
JavaScript, and Blogspot.com for domain and hosting.
3️⃣ Conducted a survey among corporate personnel involved in textile sourcing to gather
feedback and preferences.
4️⃣ Based on the survey results, refined and optimized the e-sourcing website and
developed an app version using MIT-App Inventor.
5️⃣ The methodology section is divided into two parts: materials used for the project and
the approach for conducting the survey and designing the e-sourcing platform.
