6. IN THE COUNTRY WHERE I LIVED , SUFFER GREATLY FROM
DEFORESTATION AND EXTINCTION OF SPECIES.
7. Jaguar
The jaguar is the largest cat in the American
continent, and can reach 135 kg. It is a
robust animal with great muscular strength,
being the power of its bite considered the
largest of the felines around the world. The
destruction of habitats coupled with
predatory hunting due mainly to the alleged
economic damage to livestock breeding
causes populations to be severely reduced.
The anteater
is a "vulnerable" animal that in the State of São Paulo is
threatened with extinction: at least 30% of the
population of this mammal has been lost in the last ten
years, due to the loss and alteration of their habitat,
trampling, hunting, burning, conflicts with dogs and use
of agrochemicals.
