3. BLOOD
Blood is a red colored fluid which flows in
blood levels to every part of the blood.
An average adult person contains 5-6 liters of
blood.
The blood consists of two components.
1. Fluid components- blood plasma
2. Solid components-blood cells which include
red blood cells(RBCs),white blood
cells(WBC) and platelets.

4. So, blood is a red coloured fluid consisting of
plasma liquid with red blood cells
(RBCs),white blood cells (WBC) and platelets
floating in it.
Plasma- plasma is the fluid part of the blood
.Plasma carries water and various material like
digestive food, waste material etc.

5. Red blood cells-RBC are red in colour due to the
presence of a red pigment called
Haemoglobin.RBCs are produced in the red bone
marrow of bones.
The average life span of RBCs is about 120 days.
They are disc in shaped and smaller in size.
WBC-are coloureless,irregular shaped cells.They
are fewer in number but bigger in size than RBC.
