The creator used a plain grey background for the contents page to make the images and text stand out. Headers are in white with a black outline to clearly indicate the layout. A variety of images were included, with the main image higher up to show importance. Page numbers and the magazine's web address were added following typical magazine conventions.

1. Process of creating contest page

2. I used a plain grey background so the features on the contents page would stand out more as well as the images of the artist’s. The heading contents is white and has a black outline to it, I done this with the blending tool, using outer glow this helps the readers to have a clear idea on the layout of the magazine clearly indicating contents page.

3. For the contents page I wanted to have a variety of images, having the main image on a higher point showing its importance. I also chose to have an image of the cover as it is a typical convention for a hip hop magazine, the front cover allows the reader to relate back to the front cover. The images all of a border around them I done this as it would have a clear separation on the contents page allowing everything to be in place and not chaotic.

4. So that readers were able to get a clear difference of what features they are in the magazine I added different headings mentioning many different features in the magazine. There is a clear difference of each heading ass each one has a main heading which then goes to a sub heading, under each sub heading there is some information on the feature which is a typical convention seen in many contents pages, another typical convention would be the idea of a subscription offer. Editors review was also given in which the editor lets the reader learn a bit more about the magazine.

5. For the final draft of the contest page I added numbers with the images as this is a typical convention on magazines. Due to there being empty gap at the bottom I added in the web address of the magazine in many cases which is also seen to be a typical feature.
