4. Mast head is used in both magazine, which is also a typical feature in a hip hop magazine.

6. Most hip hop magazine's have a large amount of sell lines, allowing the magazine to appeal to more people, in which both magazines have a large amount of sells lines.

7. The colour on both front covers is limited, varying it down to a limited amount of colours, as it will appeal to more people, as there will not be too much going on, on the front cover.

8. The size of the fonts vary depending the importance of the sell line, which is done in both magazines.

13. Floating quote is also a typical convention in a hip hop magazine as used in the magazine. This allows the audience attention to be attracted straight towards the magazine as it is a bold heading and is a un expected phrase.

16. The double page spread has a unique factor the idea of a quick fire round which Is not a popular convention in a hip hop magazine.

17. The colour of the front cover is bold, whereas the cover of “vibe” magazine is not very bold instead plain.

18. The image of the main artist is usually the biggest image on a contents page, whereas in final contents page the main image is not the biggest image.

19. Many hip hop magazines' also include features other then music, such as fashion my contents page does not include information on fashion.

20. Most images on the front cover tend to be revealing, whereas the image of my main model is not revealing

21. On the double page spread the model tends to wear the same outfit if more then one image, but on my double page spread the model is wearing 2 different images.

22. Many hip hop magazines have excessive head lines, whereas on my front cover there is not many excessive headings, a limited amount of excessive heading is used.
