This document summarizes the steps taken to edit a photo for a print music advertisement. The photo was filtered and text was added including the album name, band name, website, release details, and song information. Font colors like white and black were chosen based on what contrasted best with the background. An iTunes logo was also included to indicate where the album could be purchased.
2. This is the Picture that I have chosen to use for my Print advert. I
have edited the picture by adding a filter add effect to the picture
and to make it relate to the genre of music we have chosen to use.
3. I first started by selecting my chosen image for the print advert.
4. I then added my chosen font to the picture. I made the font white
as I found it contrasts better then other colours and also stand
outs.
5. From there I added the name of the album just above the name of
the band. For the font I decided to make it black as it stood out
better against the white jumper.
6. I then added the website to the top left corner of the advert. I also
chose to have the font as white it went best with the background
image.
7. Furthermore I added information out the release of the album such
as it being released now. For the font most of it is in black as it
contrasted well against the background. However some of the font
is white where it crosses over with the banister in the background.
8. I then added more information such as by saying that the album
includes the number 1 single Cala Cola which our music video is based
on. For the font I decided to again have the majority of it in black as it
stood out better against the background. However I again used some
white font where it was hard to see the black font.
9. Finally I placed the ITunes logo to the left of the advert. This helped
fill some of the space. By having the logo It tells people where they
can download and buy the album from.
10. This is my First draft of the print advert complete
