My magazine cover uses conventions from real media products such as including a masthead, cover story, social media links, date of issue, sell lines, artist names, variations in color and text, price, and barcode to make it appear independent like a real magazine. However, elements like featuring a hip-hop artist's name, layout of social media links and including a barcode show it is not fully independent and borrows features from mainstream magazines, which typically use a consistent two-color color scheme for the cover and text. Independent magazines vary their color schemes more between issues, using one to three colors on the front cover.

2. As we can see from the differences between my cover and the source magazine with
schoolboy q it can be said that my one looks like the one that's independent . My magazine is
not independent with examples such as hip-hop artists name and the layout of the social
media links and barcode this shows that my magazine uses a lot of real media products

3. Colour scheme of real media products compared to mine:
Mainstream magazine: In the SOURCE mainstream magazines the colour scheme is the same to
mine sticking to a minimum of 2 colours with text on the front cover
Independent Magazine: however with BONAFIDE independent magazines it varies as they
change per issue it can vary from 1 or to 3 per front cover
