3. Background
Contribution to industrial projects especially in Oil&Gas and
petrochemical industries in construction field encouraged me to
get involved in a specific area of construction management such
as Quantity Surveying, Bid preparation and Cost estimation.
Moreover, the assessment of both projects LAB, LDPE and
Yadavaran oilfield were directly conducted of my own accord
based on my guideline as an employee.

4. Cost management/Quantity surveying
Quantity surveying and Cost Estimation are services with a wide
range of activities in a wide variety of disciplines in industrial
projects and assists major clients and main contractors in
procurement and construction phase and incorporates the
following main service components:
 Estimation of quantity in all disciplines such as civil, building,
steel structure, piping, mechanical, painting & insulation and
electrical & instrument based on contract regulation
 Assisting planning department with giving accurate quantity
of the project for establishing proper time schedule with exact
evaluation of construction part of project
 Assisting procurement department by giving accurate
quantity in order to avoid losing financial resources and time
 Assisting construction department for approving invoice of
sub-contractors
 Assisting project manager for establishing technical part of
sub-contract and BOQ table in all related disciplines
 Assisting project manager for establishing data-base which is
related to spent Man-Hour for each activity during
construction period in order to evaluate extra-work, sub-
contractor claim and final cost
 Establishing benchmark for cost estimation in all disciplines in
industrial project (Civil, Steel Structure, Mechanical,
piping U/G& A/G, Painting& Insulation and electrical&
instrument ) based on direct man-hour, Mechanism and
material
