• Scholarship programs–Awarded as the largest number of
scholarships in Bangladesh both the H.S.C and Graduation
level.
• Fellowship Program –DBBL has been awarding Fellowship for

a project with BASIS (Bangladesh Association
of Software and Information Services) to
award the best IT uses by Bangladeshi
companies and contributed Tk. 6.25 Lac.

• DBBL donates GCI sheets - Dutch-Bangla
Bank Limited (DBBL) donated 130 bundles of
GCI sheets worth Tk. 5.60 lack for
rehabilitating the homeless people affected by
river-erosion

• Primary school sector: primary school sector
is very backward in our country. DBBL can
nourish their social responsibility in this root
sector.
• SME sector: SME is also a root sector where
DBBL bank can apply credit formula this
sector. Thus it can probably expand its social
image.
• Microcredit sector: they should give micro
credit loan which will help the people a lot.

• As a third world country Bangladesh has lot of
problems. If more company came forward to
contribute to the society like DBBL, it will help
to create their social branding as well as
helping the society. So we can say DBBL is a
pioneer in Corporate Social Responsibility in
our country.

Scholarship program
Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) has been awarding the largest number of scholarships in Bangladesh for the meritorious and needy students every year since 2001. These scholarships are available for different levels of education such as
i). HSC level: Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited awards new scholarships every year for the meritorious and needy students of this level along with the continuing awardees. The students, who have been studying at H.S.C. level after passing their S.S.C. examination in the current year, are eligible to apply for scholarship of this level. The Scholarships are renewable for the entire academic period of H.S.C. level.
ii). Graduation level: Every year DBBL awards new scholarships for the meritorious and needy students of this level along with the continuing awardees. The students, who have been studying at Graduation level after passing their H.S.C. examination in the current year, are eligible to apply for scholarship of this level.
Fellowship Program
Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited has been awarding Fellowship for pursuing M.Phil, Doctoral & Post Doctoral degrees since 2006. This Fellowship is awarded to those researchers engaged in research Public Universities of Bangladesh in M.Phil., Ph.D. &Post Doctoral levels.
Constructing a Research Center in Dhaka University
Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) has donated an amount of Taka 9,73,00,000.00 (Taka nine crore and seventy three lac) to Dhaka University for constructing a modern research center named “Dutch-Bangla Bank Center for Advanced Research in Arts & Social Sciences” as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.

DBBL has established Rural Medi-Care Service Center at its rural branches of Shimrail, Dania, Savar Bazar, Baburhat, Patherhat, Hathazary Branch to render free medical services to the rural and destitute people of the adjoining areas especially for the women and children.

Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited has also launched a financial assistance program for supporting HIV positive patients since 2004 styled- “Caring Patients Living with AIDS.” Under this program, 50 HIV/AIDS patients including women and children are being provided with Anti Retro Viral (ARV) medicines, clinical supports, food supplement and others.
Smile brighter program for cleft-lip patients
Boys and girls cursed with cleft-lips face numerous problems in everyday life ranging from disruption of formal education, attending social ceremonies and impediment at the time of getting married. Considering the gravity of the situation DBBL has taken the initiative to bring back smile on the face of the boys and girls with cleft-lip through plastic surgery at free of cost since 2003 under the banner “Smile Brighter”. More than 4,200 numbers of poor cleft-lipped boys and girls have so far been successfully operated across the country.

Dutch-Bangla donation for Cancer Hospital
Dutch-Bangla donate for Cancer Hospital Tk. 4 crore. Dutch-Bangla Bank authorities decided to donate Tk. 4 crore for construction of the first floor of the proposed Ahsania Mission Cancer Hospital (AMCH) to be established by Dhaka Ahsania Mission at Uttara in the city.
DBBL has donated two modern ambulances to Anjuman Mufidul Islam.
