I have traveled to Panama once but have not yet traveled to Spain. We use the present perfect tense to talk about actions or experiences that began in the past and continue in the present, or that happened at an unspecified time in the past. Time expressions like "ever", "never", "once", and "many times" are used with the present perfect, while expressions indicating a specific time like "yesterday" and "one year ago" are not used with it.
