6. So, is used before an adjective or adverb to
add emphasis:
 She’s so pretty (so + adjective)
 He ran so quickly (so + adverb)
Such, is used before a noun (with or without
adjective)
 Ann is such a funny person (such + a + adj. +
noun)
 He acted like such a jerk (such + a + noun)
