– UJMA job submission may require a password and a valid user ID in
order for a job to be executed.

enable password validation for all users on all nodes.

definition or from the agent PARMLIB data.
§ Passwords associated with user IDs, agents, and job types are maintained
through the AGPSWD command

– AES 32 character encryptions / FIPS 140 -2 compliant

§ Compatibility
– Both Architectures can coexist
– Both Agents can run on the same server
– Migrate by job, application or server

§ The Conversion utilities have two benefits.
– The utility provides a semi-automated mechanism for changing your
TOUNI / XPJOBs to UNIX (UNIX_JOB) or Windows (NT_JOB) definitions.
– The utility maintains any requirements, triggers, and schedules
associated with the original XPJOB definition.
One of the most significant differences you see when the conversion completes is the lack of
CA7TOUNI running as jobs on the MF and XPJOB PARMnn statements

– The utility dynamically allocates any permanent SYSIN DD data sets
associated with the CA7TOUNI job
– The utility adds each record to the new sequential file as part of a
SYSIN DD * statement.
– Creates IEBUPDTE adding each CA7TOUNI job to a new PDS for input to
the conversion utility

§ CA7TOUNI Conversion Utility
– Creates a copy of CA WA CA7 JCLLIB that will be used by conversion
utility
– Creates sequential file (CONVCMDS ) containing CA WA CA 7 update
parameters to convert CA7TOUNI jobs to XPJOBS
– CA WA CA 7 Batch Terminal (BTI) job uses output file CONVCMDS to
execute the changes
– Maintains any requirements, triggers, and schedules associated with
the original CA7TOUNI job. The process also maintains PROFILE and
STEPLIB data set definitions resulting from the original CA7TOUNI
LOAD, or done using the DB.6 panel.

§ XPJOB Utility
– Backup copies of existing XPJOB Optional PARMLIB members are
created
– The conversion file, XNODE and XPSWD cleanup files, and agent user
ID/password file are generated
– Batch Terminal Interface program reads the conversion file that was
created to perform the actual conversion
– The Agent Security file is used to update user IDs and passwords
required to run the jobs at the Agents are defined
– clean up old XNODE and XPSWD entries that the original XPJOBs used

§ XPJOB Conversion Utility
– The following conditions and rules must be true for the conversion to
complete successfully:
– The XPJOB must have successfully executed in a CA Workload
Automation SE environment without QJCL updates. Jobs that have not
run successfully most likely have errors that would preclude their
successful conversion.
– Utility provides migration assistance for CA UUJMA only jobs destined
for a UNIX or Windows environment.

§ XPJOB Conversion Utility
– The XPJOB must have successfully executed in a CA WA CA 7
– Utility provides migration assistance for CA UUJMA only jobs destined
for a UNIX or Windows environment.
