Prayer is communicating with God through talking and listening. There are different types of prayer including communal prayer said with others (like Mass) and private prayer said alone (like reading scripture). The four main purposes of prayer are petition, adoration, contrition, and thanksgiving. Catholics should know important prayers like the Lord's Prayer, Hail Mary, and Apostle's Creed. Prayer is an important part of the Bible as seen in passages like the Magnificat and Psalms.
You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. - James 4:1-3
In other words, if your needs just keep on not being taken care of, it’s either because you’re not praying at all or because you think you’re praying and you’re not!

We know the dictionary definition of worship (a feeling, or devotion to a deity), and we have read John 4:24, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth"; but, what does the Bible teach us about the subject of worship? The three secrets for making a difference in the world: Helping with educatio...Logged On Foundation
Our CEO makes a case for using ICTs in education in rural schools in Nepal. The presentation is framed in terms of the "Three Secrets" or the essential elements that can help ensure that computers and the internet have a positive impact on the education of children in government schools. The presentation also goes onto discuss the positive impact technology can have on communities at large.
We hope that this presentation helps to advocate the benefits that technology can bring to less privileged areas of the world as well as what attributes are required, in our experience, to help ensure the successful outcomes of these types of projects. The presentation also promotes our work and we hope will allow us to gain more support from the public so we can continue to help more schools on a not-for-profit basis.
Most of the photos in the presentation were taken at our project sites in Nepal and are copyright of the author with a few public domain/open license photos and graphics used to illustrate the general discussion.

Promotional talk at Taoyuan Seventh Day Adventist International Fellowship on Saturday, June 15 2013. About prayer and healing, taken from Victor Paraching article at Signs of the Times April 2007.
This month we celebrate the feast of the Holy Eucharist, Corpus Christi, and we want to renew our desire to receive our Lord and to be close to Him. In some countries, lockdowns are lifting and we are able to attend Mass and to visit our Lord in the Tabernacle on behalf of those still waiting. This is a time — like all times — to thank God for so many things that we normally take for granted and to pray for one another.

The goal is not merely to provide academic understanding, but the higher purpose of developing a corp of people who pray and who therefore make a difference for God in the world. As (we) are burdened and inspired to pursue dligently an active prayer ministry, (we) will enrich our lives, impact (our) our ministry to Christ and His Church, and consequently generate waves of spiritual influence to the ends of the earth." In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
