1. Paper Boats
He was the first to popularise modem India in the
world literary scene. Primarily he was a Bengali
poet. But he was equally a master at writing in
english. He translated many of his space and
time. So his poetry has a universal appeal.
“paper Boats” is an a nice poem of tagore, taker
from his collection. “the crescent Mon”. This
poem is an a childhood experience. The poem
narrates the child’s, experience of floating paper
boats down. The air in the sky. The child loves
the words of play fulness and fun day he floats
paper boats down the running stream. He writes
his name and address on those boats. He fondly
hopes that some where someone will find them
and know him.
2. THE CAMERA
Television’s basic unit is the shot . Any television
show consists of one shot after the other, building up
to a unified programme which is more effective than
all of its individual shots.
What constitutes a shot ? Generally, it is what
appears on the television screen at given momently .
A shot may change imperceptibly or suddenly. For
example , this will occur when either the camera or
the subject moves. Thus a shot may last for a few
seconds, for a minute or for the entire programme.
The latter occurs when a show is not on one camera
3. 1. To illustrate the subject clearly and simply:
Composition should enhance communication and
comprehension. Special effects and trick composition can e
meaningless if they fail to communicate the real message.
2. To give an aesthetic joy to the viewer:
Our eyes look for aesthetic beauty. Along with the main theme,
if the camera shots can give an aesthetic joy to the viewer, the camera
person will be successful.
3.To set the right mood at the right time:
Composition can set the mood at the right time especially in
drama, music, and dance. In addition it may afford emotional
satisfaction.
4. To provide a variety of visual images:
Application of a variety of visual images is used to break the
monotony of seeing the same visual for too long. However well-
composed a picture may be, it will become boring after 15 to 20 seconds
4. The centre of frame will not be centre of
attraction. The first and most commonly quoted
rule of composition is the ‘rule of third’ . The
points of intersection, namely points, one , two,
three and four are most suitable for placing the
points of interest. The vertical line intersecting 1
and 3 is called major line of interest, this is to
the left as the human eye has a tendency to scan
from left to right. The vertical line of interesting
2 and 4 is called the minor line of interest. As a
result the intersections 2 and 4 are called minor
points of interest.
5. lighting is at the heart of film making. The
techniques of effective lighting is an art , a
craft and a business. Without a through
knowledge of the theories of exposure and
colour and without understanding of tools
and techniques involved, one could not
achieve his goal.
6. FILL LIGHT
Fill light is secondary light source used to dilute the
shadows caused by the key light. It is often classified
as Hard and Soft. Hard Fill, is used to dilute shadows
caused strong direct
Fill light in interiors also called ‘Hard fill light’. Ideally
the fill should not create any shadow Fill light is
usually placed near the camera on the opposite side to
key light from the camera It is also placed the equal
height to the camera
