You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. - James 4:1-3
In other words, if your needs just keep on not being taken care of, it’s either because you’re not praying at all or because you think you’re praying and you’re not!
“Being used by God
is not confined to pastors, preachers or teachers. Anybody can be an instrument
in God's hands.”
God can use anybody, believer or nonbeliever.

We know the dictionary definition of worship (a feeling, or devotion to a deity), and we have read John 4:24, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth"; but, what does the Bible teach us about the subject of worship? This is a series of lessons that gets to the heart of worship and what it really means for Christians.
God gave us His Word for a purpose. God wants us to be with Him in heaven. To do this we must change from serving Satan to serving God. God gave His Word so we would know how to live our lives. God gave His Word so we would change.
What is praise? Why is it important? How is praise expressed? What's the difference between praise and worship? This study outline, collated and instructed by Prophet Joy Allen, answers your questions about the sacrifice of praise. There is POWER IN YOUR PRAISE!!!

The bible has proven to be an integrated message system written by more than 40 authors over more than 1500 years and contains information and predictions that can only come from a Divine Being. The Bible says it is from God and proves it by many accurate predictions of events and people. Therefore it is the most important book that can ever be read.

February is National Heart Awareness Month. It is meant to cause the nation to take note of the seriousness of heart disease and to be reminded about those things that promote heart health. It is wise in a spiritual sense to take time and do the same relative to our spiritual hearts. This is what this study is designed to do.

We are forgiven by God through Christ, therefore we ought to forgive others even as God has forgiven us. This is the heart of the Gospel. Growth in the spiritual life is often hindered because we often refuse to forgive others.
The Lord's Prayer was not taught to be repeated without thought as to what it means. It given by our Lord to teach us a model for prayer. In this presentation we will look at the components that make up a the way we ought to pray.
Are we trying to impress the world? Are we trying to impress others? Who are we trying to impress? Ultimately we can impress no one, not even God. But rewards are with God, not because we can impress him, but because he honors those that love him.
John 1:1 claims that all life is in Christ. He is the creator of life and he sustains all life. He is the author of physical life and spiritual life. Without him there is no life.
We call it the triumphal entry. Compared with the entry of other kings and generals it was modest. Compared to his future entry into Jerusalem all the kings entries of the past seem insignificant.
They Trusted In Something Greater Than ThemselvesDavid Turner
The founding fathers of our nation trusted in something greater than the Declaration of Independence. They trusted in the Bible and the God of the Bible. Our present leaders would do well to put their trust in the same God and the same Bible.
The greatest book of liberty is not a document or a declaration. The greatest book of liberty is the Bible. The bible presents the Gospel, the good news that sets me free.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
2. WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT
THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER?
3. 1Peter 5:8 Be sober and alert. Your enemy
the devil, like a roaring lion, is on the
prowl looking for someone to devour.
Who wants to devour and defeat you?
4. 1Corinthians 3:3 for you are still
influenced by the flesh. For since there is
still jealousy and dissension among you,
are you not influenced by the flesh and
behaving like unregenerate people?
What 4 things are possible in a Christian's
life?
5. Colossians 2:8 Be careful not to allow anyone to
captivate you through an empty, deceitful
philosophy that is according to human
traditions and the elemental spirits of the
world, and not according to Christ.
Of what is a Christian to beware?
6. Colossians 3:8-9 But now, put off all such
things as anger, rage, malice, slander,
abusive language from your
mouth. (9) Do not lie to one another
since you have put off the old man with
its practices.
What 6 things are you to avoid in your
Christian life?
7. 2 Corinthians 2:11 so that we may not be
exploited by Satan (for we are not
ignorant of his schemes).
Of what are you not to be ignorant?
8. When you became a Christian, you also
gained a terrible enemy (Satan) who
hates you because of his hatred for
Christ. Satan tries to use you to hurt the
Savior. Prayer is the key to resist
Satan. The Lord is always with you, so it
is important for you to tell Him about
your problems and concerns and leave
them so He can work them out.
9. You have nothing to fear, for Christ was
victorious over Satan at the cross and
Jesus' victory is your victory! You need
not be defeated, down, distressed or
discouraged in your daily living when you
realize that the Savior will work out all
the details of your life if you leave them
with Him.
10. Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we
have complete victory through him who
loved us!
What are you in Christ?
11. 1 Cor 15:57 But thanks be to God, who
gives us the victory through our Lord
Jesus Christ!
What has been given to you?
12. 1 John 4:4 You are from God, little children,
and have conquered them, because the
one who is in you is greater than the one
who is in the world.
Why shouldn’t you fear?
13. Romans 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit
helps us in our weakness, for we do not
know how we should pray, but the Spirit
himself intercedes for us with
inexpressible groanings.
Who is praying and interceding on your
behalf?
14. Romans 8:34 Who is the one who will
condemn? Christ is the one who died
(and more than that, he was raised), who
is at the right hand of God, and who also
is interceding for us.
Who else is praying and interceding on
your behalf?
15. Romans 8:34 Who is the one who will
condemn? Christ is the one who died (and
more than that, he was raised), who is at the
right hand of God, and who also is
interceding for us.
Hebrews 7:25 So he is able to save completely
those who come to God through him,
because he always lives to intercede for
them.
Who else is praying and interceding on your
behalf?
16. Matthew 26:41 Stay awake and pray that
you will not fall into temptation. The
spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
What 2 things are necessary so that you
will not enter into temptation (sin)?
17. Hebrews 11:6 Now without faith it is
impossible to please him, for the one
who approaches God must believe that
he exists and that he rewards those who
seek him.
What does Hebrews 11:6 teach
you about what pleases God?
18. Matthew 21:21 Jesus answered them, "I tell you
the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt,
not only will you do what was done to the fig
tree, but even if you say to this mountain, 'Be
lifted up and thrown into the sea,' it will
happen.
Mark 11:24 For this reason I tell you, whatever
you pray and ask for, believe that you have
received it, and it will be yours.
What is required in order to have your
prayer answered?
19. 1 John 3:22 and whatever we ask we
receive from him, because we keep his
commandments and do the things that
are pleasing to him.
According to I John 3:22, what else
is necessary to have a prayer answered?
20. What is faith? You could put it this way,
"Lord, I don't know how you are going to
answer it, I don't know when, either, but
I know you are going to answer it."
LEAVE THE HOW AND WHEN TO THE
LORD,KNOWING THAT HE WILL ANSWER
YOUR PRAYER!
21. Ephesians 6:18 With every prayer and
petition, pray at all times in the Spirit,
and to this end be alert, with all
perseverance and requests for all the
saints.
Because of your enemy, how are
you to pray according to v. 18?
22. John 14:9 Jesus replied, "Have I been with you
for so long, and you have not known me,
Philip? The person who has seen me has seen
the Father! How can you say, 'Show us the
Father'?
John 14:13 And I will do whatever you ask in my
name, so that the Father may be glorified in
the Son.
In whose name are you to pray?
23. John 14:13 And I will do whatever you ask
in my name, so that the Father may be
glorified in the Son.
In order to be sure that you are praying
about the right things, what should be
the purpose of your prayer?
24. 1Timothy 2:8 So I want the men to pray in
every place, lifting up holy hands without
anger or dispute.
Where is the best place to pray?
25. Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a high
priest incapable of sympathizing with our
weaknesses, but one who has been
tempted in every way just as we are, yet
without sin.
How does Jesus our High Priest
feel toward you?
26. Hebrews 4:16 Therefore let us confidently
approach the throne of grace to receive
mercy and find grace whenever we need
help.
Because of verse 15, what are you to do,
according to Hebrews 4:16?
What will you receive ?
27. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God that
surpasses all understanding will guard
your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
What Does God promise?
28. Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply
your every need according to his glorious
riches in Christ Jesus.
What does God promise?
29. What Does God Promise?
Mark 9:23 Then Jesus said to him, " 'If you are
able?' All things are possible for the one who
believes."
John 16:24 Until now you have not asked for
anything in my name. Ask and you will receive it,
so that your joy may be complete.
James 4:3 you ask and do not receive because you
ask wrongly, so you can spend it on your
passions.
James 1:5 But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he
should ask God, who gives to all generously and
without reprimand, and it will be given to him.
30. Why is it that some prayer are not
answered?
Ezekiel 14:3 "Son of man, these men have set up
their idols in their hearts and placed the
stumbling block of their sin right before their
faces. Should I really allow them to seek me?
Pro 21:13 The one who shuts his ears to the cry
of the poor, he too will cry out and will not be
answered.
31. Why is it that some prayer are not
answered?
James 4:3 you ask and do not receive because
you ask wrongly, so you can spend it on your
passions.
Ephesians 4:31 You must put away every
kind of bitterness, anger, wrath,
quarreling, and evil, slanderous talk.
32. Why is it that some prayer are not
answered?
Mark 11:24-25 For this reason I tell you,
whatever you pray and ask for, believe that
you have received it, and it will be yours. (25)
Whenever you stand praying, if you have
anything against anyone, forgive him, so that
your Father in heaven will also forgive you
your sins."
33. Matthew 18:19-20 Again, I tell you the truth, if
two of you on earth agree about whatever you
ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.
(20) For where two or three are assembled in
my name, I am there among them."
Why is praying with others so important?
34. TO HELP YOU PRAY, USE THE WORD
J-O-Y:
J-Thank and Praise Jesus for Who He is and
what He has done for you;
O-Pray for OTHERS lost and saved;
Y-YOURSELF.
