This document discusses a study on using animated video to teach writing explanations to 10th grade students in SMK N 1 Geger, Madiun, Indonesia. The study focuses on how animated videos can be used to teach writing explanations about natural phenomena. It aims to explain how animated videos can be used, describe their strengths, and describe their weaknesses for teaching writing explanations. The study will collect data through observation, interviews, and documents from October 2021 to January 2022 at SMK N 1 Geger. Data will be analyzed through reduction, display, and verification techniques. This study aims to determine how effective animated videos are for teaching writing explanations to EFL students.
