In this presentation, Thamizh talsk about an innovative solution that uses IoT to save lives by automatically calling ambulance if there's an accident.
RescueAlert-an accident detection and rescue mechanism IJECEIAES
With the increase of vehicles and cars of different kind and the large movement that occurs every day on the roads it was natural to observe an increase in traffic accidents, but the real dilemma lies in how to make the rescue process efficient. The problem that we want to solve is the response of ambulances towards accidents and the lengthy registration process of patients in hospitals. In the above two scenarios, the manual process of calling the ambulance leads to delay in rescue of patients from an accident and the delay in registration of patient leads to delay in medication or treatment of the patient. We want to make the process more efficient by automating accident detection for increasing the efficiency of the ambulance rescue process and by sending the details of the patient before the patient reaches the hospitals for faster treatment of patients. Along with this, alert messages will be sent to the family or friends of the patients to notify them as soon as an accident is detected.

Road accidents are a human tragedy. This involves high human suffering and pecuniary costs in terms of untimely sudden death, injuries and loss of inherent income. In this paper, a system is proposed where the main objective is to detect road signs from a moving vehicle and also enables intelligent detection of an accident at any place and reports about the accident on predefined numbers of dear one .The system will use one signal transmitter in each and every symbol or message board at road side and whenever any vehicle passes from that symbol the receiver situated inside the vehicle i.e. In-Car System will receive the signals and display proper message or the symbol details on display connected in car. Road Traffic Sign Detection is a technology by which a vehicle is able to recognize the traffic signs which are on the road e.g. ”speed limit” or ”school” or ”turn ahead”. This infrastructure is expected to deliver multiple road safety and driving assistance applications

During the last decade, attention was paid to detect the accident and call the ambulance as soon as possible, the situation was neglected after the arrival of the patient to the specified service point. This negligence led to an increase in the mortality rate, especially where the highest percentage of deaths occurred during the first hour after the accident. This highest Mortality can be avoided by providing proper health care after the arrival of the patient to the hospital, the proposed system reduces the rescue time after the arrival of a patient to the hospital, and it requires each hospital to be endowed with a reception model responsible for detecting and reporting accident situations to the emergency service. It was be found that there is an urgent need for a web-based hospital management system with a mobile web service to respond immediately to incidents in the event of an accident. This system utilizes the android phone application to connect to the server for transferring the specified data to the hospital and it can be used for comprehensive accident analysis and management. In this paper, a combination of Android phone application, database, and visual studio 2012 was used to develop the system.
An accident is a specific, unexpected, unusual and unintended external action which occurs in a particular time and place, with no apparent and deliberate cause but with marked effects. Carelessness of the driver is the major factor of such accidents. The traffic authorities give a lot of instructions to the vehicle operators. But many of them do not obey the rules. Nowadays most of the countries are forcing the motor riders to wear the helmet and not to use the vehicles when the person is in drunken condition. But still the rules are being violated by the users. In order to overcome this we propose a new intelligent helmet system, which automatically checks whether the person is wearing the helmet and has non- alcoholic breath while driving. Here we have a transmitter at the helmet and the receiver at the bike .The project aims at the security and safety of the bikers against road accidents. The circuit is so designed that the bike wont’ start without wearing helmet. Also, if the driver is drunk, the bike will not start thereby preventing drunken drivers. And in case of accident, immediate message will be sent to the family members about the accident using a GSM modem.
In modern life we have to face many problems because of traffic congestion. It is said that the
high volume of vehicles, the inadequate infrastructure and the irrational distribution of the development are
main reasons for increasing traffic jam. The major reason for traffic congestion is the high number of vehicle
which was caused by the increase in population and the development of economy. Traffic congestion is a
condition that occurs as use increases, and is characterized by slower speeds, longer trip times, and increased
vehicular queuing. Here I am considering vittila junction in Ernakulum district where we can see a high traffic
junction. Here in my proposed work I am depending on 8 different roads that meet at a single junction. In that I
will consider pedestrian, vehicles, and ambulance and red light violation detection persons too. The use of
RFID and GPS will help to make the lane clear for ambulance. Using the RFID we can detect the red light
violators and we can assign fine to them. Lastly for pedestrian I am providing one subway and one overbridged.
At Present, the number of vehicles plying on the roads has increased, leading to heavy traffic, particularly in the intersection of roads. This drastic increase in vehicles has caused risk to Emergency Vehicle drivers. They lose a lot of time, struck in traffic jams and confusion among people in giving way to the Emergency Vehicles. So we are developing a Mobile Application to detect the approach of an Emergency Vehicle and warn the people who are on the way or near the ambulance. The traditional siren and lights prove not to be helpful when there is lot of traffic and noise. We believe our system will be better and effective. We plan to use GPS (Global Positioning System) to detect the position of the Emergency Vehicle and alert people within a circle of the GPS location.
3. avoidance of over speed through intelligent speed breaking system edit satIAESIJEECS
Accidents have become major issue in Developing countries like India now a day. As per the Surveys 60% of the accidents are happening due to over speed. Though the government has taken so many initiatives like Traffic Awareness & Driving Awareness Week etc.., but still the percentage of accidents are not getting reduced. In this paper a new technique has been introduced in order to reduce the percentage of accidents. The new technique is implemented using the concept of Intelligent Speed Braking System. The Intelligent Speed Braking systems can be implemented any where essential in order to avoid the accidents. The main objective of this system is to calculate the speed of the vehicle at three different locations based on the place where the vehicle speed has to be controlled and if the speed is greater than the designated speed in that road then it will automatically open up the speed breaker to control the speed of the vehicle. If the speed is less or equal to the designated speed in that road then the vehicle will be passed without any disturbance. This system though it won’t avoid 100% accidents at least it will reduce the percentage of accidents. This is system is not only to avoid accidents it will also intelligently controls the speed of the vehicles and creates awareness amongst the drivers.

Online Accessable Traffic Control System for Urban Areas Using Embedded Syste...IJSRD
During recent years traffic congestion is become a serious problem in almost all cities. Due to the high density of traffic, pedestrians find it difficult to cross the road. Even though several advanced strategic plans are introduced to regulate the traffic but due to lack of provision for on- road pedestrian crossing, rate of accidents become very high. One such provision is given is elevated path for pedestrian to cross the road, but the elderly person finds it difficult to use that. Hence an idea is proposed to help the elderly people by giving provision for on- road pedestrian crossing in high density traffic areas like near schools, hospitals, markets, etc. which reduces the accidents rate also. To implement this, here an additional time delay is introduced in the traffic signal for pedestrian crossing in addition to vehicle crossing in all possible direction. Additionally, provision is given to track the vehicle which violates the traffic rules and to clear the traffic for emergency vehicles. All the above said three parameters can be simulated by using PROTEUS software.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.
Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Alert System to Notify Ambulance
1. AN ALERT SYSTEM
IN A VEHICLE TO
PREVENT ACCIDENT

2. PROBLEM AREA:
The aim of this project is to solve the problem by
providing immediate and effective medicare when
people met with an accident using Internet Of
Things(IOT).
The population of our country has been increasing
rapidly which indirectly leads to vehicle density and
leads to road accidents.
3. EXISTING SYSTEM:
In the existing system, when a person is met with an
accident someone has to call for the ambulance and
the ambulance arrives within a span of time.
In that case, a person may lose his/her life due to
ambulance delay. Also, if the fast moving vehicles
comes in that area, it also may meet with an accident.
4. SOLUTION:
In our proposed system, a sensor is mounted with a
helmet. When a person meets with an accident, it
vibrates and produces the continuously alarming
sound around 2 kilometers.
After a few minutes, it sends a notification or call
automatically to the nearby ambulance and through
GSM the ambulance identifies the accident spot.
When the fast moving vehicle comes on the road, it
automatically slows down the speed of vehicle due to
alarming sound and does not hit that vehicle.
5. IMPACTS:
Through this idea, we can save many lives of the
people.
Collision Avoidance.
Automobile Safety.
Decreases the risk and consequences of road crashes.
Legal relevance of speed alert.
