2. INTRODUCTION
English can be considered as an international language and
sometimes, students feel difficult to master the skills
especially in speaking.
There are apps on mobile phones that help students learn.
They can learn English through their phones anytime and
anywhere.
3. AIMS
The purpose of this study was to determine students'
perceptions of using the Cake application to improve
speaking skills.
Using Cake app allows students to control their own
learning, thus making English learning more interesting.
4. The researchers applied the descriptive qualitative method.
The subject of this study was the students of the fifth semester of Industrial
engineering study program of Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya. There were
12 students who were involved in this research.
After utilizing the application many times, the researchers gave them a
questionnaire, then five selected students were being interviewed for the use of
the application.
METHODS
7. CONCLUSION

The researchers concluded that most students were in favor of using the Cake
app to improve their speaking skills.
They can make the best use of the app to improve their speaking skills.
They know how to use the app with various features.
They can practice from beginner to advanced level.
Then, they would really recommend Cake application to the other students.
