My Group s Strongest Moment Of Creative Collaboration
I think my group s strongest moment of creative collaboration was when we taught the lesson to the
class. I think it flowed smoothly, everyone talked an equal amount, and that we were engaged and
made the class think about our topic in a new way. I was a rocky road leading up to the lesson but it
made me happy that it ended so perfectly and it made the entire struggle worthwhile. During
Thanksgiving break as well as the weekend before the class before break, I think the creative
collaboration was at an all time low. I remember looking at the site and even though I wasn t there in
class seeing that I was the only one who had done anything on the website and it was supposed to be
due that day. It was a super frustrating moment for me, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I would remind my group when there was a deadline, when we were falling behind, and I would do all
the things I could that need to be done. I was the one who made the outline for the website, and who
set up everything so it was easily accessible for a user of our website (pages, links etc.). My group
mates did demonstrate amazing leadership abilities in their own way. Ingrid kept a positive, uplifting
attitude throughout the whole project, and Bri kept us realistic about our goals and our final product.
This was the first project I ve done in a really long time, where I felt like the weight of it was mostly
on my shoulders. I thought it was a good wakeup call because I m not a natural born leader, but I was
able to utilize the skills that I have in order to keep the project going, and my group on task. My group
needed someone to help guide them, so that is what I did. I think my biggest struggle, which isn t
listed on the collaboration lists, was patience. I became very frustrated with my group and the, what I
perceived to be, lack of effort from my group. I learned however, that everyone works at his or her
own pace, and that it s important to be patient when waiting for the work to get done. Being willing to
engage with the differences that emerge was also a problematic area of focus for me, because in all
honesty I like to work alone and I m used to carrying out my own personal ideas and not having
criticism from anyone else. Something I m

Kerry James Marshall Mastry
Kerry James Marshall, an African American painter and sculptor born in 1955 in Birmingham,
Alabama creates a stunning exhibit Mastry, exclusively exhibited in museums of two major cities:
Chicago and Los Angelos. Through his large scale paintings and sculptures Marshall embodies the
history and culture of African Americans to reflect on the lives and identity of African Americans,
what it means to be an African American, and how the answers to these questions changed over time.
Kerry James Marshall s exhibit Mastry portrays nearly 80 vivid works centered around African
American history from the civil rights era to the present African American movement history in the

His painting Souvenir 1 creates a sort of memorial with historical figures such as JFK and MLK on
the walls of an old but fancy house. The house appears as a historically white person type home that
slaves and black people would typically serve in. The room painted in the picture as a light energy to it
with the use of white and light colors contrasted by the black subject with gold glitter wings. The gold
glitter wings symbolize the freedom blacks earned because of the death of the historical figures
represented in the figures subtly. Because of the historical figures in the painting, laws were passed
and people were inspired. However, historically, just because laws were passed and people were
inspired, didn t mean automatic change, it didn t mean complete freedom. That s what this painting
represents, freedom at a grasp. The black people received their wings( the laws, the courage, the
platform) to fly due to the deaths of many represented and unrepresented figures, but did they fly, can
they fly? Another piece that stood out with its Adam and Eve type mimicry is the painting Vignette.
This picture depicts two relatively young fit black figures, a boy and a girl running through an outside
area with trees, naked with butterflies and birds surrounding them, natural hair flying through the wind

Analysis Of Essay What s The Matter With Kids Today
In the past, letters were written to loved ones and books were read for entertainment. Today, letters
aren t being written to relatives as often. It has become a thing of the past. The Internet is being

there aren t people out there that are totally against it. It just isn t there way of life, so to speak. Some
people couldn t care less about what is going on in other people s lives.
There are some surveys where the outcomes aren t good. A survey showed that one in four teens didn t
know what Adolf Hitler did in history. This result wasn t from teenagers being on the Internet. It is
from parents or adults not taking the time to talk about history with the kids. It is stated that If we

the house prices start to become extremely expensive and it is overvalued in the market. This lead
affordability decreases in almost all regions of Australia, with the most unaffordability house prices is

Prenatal Care Case Analysis Essay
A county health department wants to increase the number of Medicaid beneficiaries that participate in
prenatal care. It knows that only 40 percent of the expectant mothers eligible for prenatal care fully
use the benefit. Many of these target customers make only one or two prenatal visits and then drop out
of the program. Most of these women visit the emergency room if they have problems during
pregnancy, and also come to the emergency room when they are in labor. How can we fix the
problem? This case study will focus on questions relating to a SWOT analysis. Based on the SWOT

A SWOT analysis is best developed by a team of managers who have different perspectives of an
organization s strengths and weaknesses. The external threats and opportunities are best developed by
an outside source to provide objectivity. An organization looks internally at its strengths and

at an organization s positive attributes, focusing on their competitive advantage. An organization s
strength looks at what they do well, their assets and other resources, and also take into account what
others see as their strengths. An organization weakness looks at anything that distracts them from

Symbolism In Everyday Use By Alice Walker
Alice Walker, a pulitzer prize winning and African American novelist, publishes the short literary
work entitled Everyday Use, examines the issue on how the main character in the story, who is African
American, is blinding herself from the importance of her heritage and culture. In the story, Dee
Johnson is returning home to her large, big boned mother and her nervous sister Maggie, that are
awaiting her arrival in their extended living room outside. Anticipating Dee s homecoming,
Mrs.Johnson commemorates the fire burning down their original home over ten years ago, making
Dee pleased since she strongly despises the old household. Upon arriving home with a male friend,

According to Helga Hoel in her essay Personal Names and Heritage: Alice Walker s Everyday Use, it
mentions that Hakim a Barber, is a Black Muslim who greets the mother and sister with the well
known Arab greeting Asalamalakim which means peace be with you (4) and Wa su zo Tean o. is
translated as something like I hope you have slept well (3). The name of her male companion is
known to be of Muslim decent, which correlates to the understanding of why Dee changes her name to
Wangero Leewanika Kemanjo. Wangero Dee is disowning the name given to her at birth since she
couldn t bear it any longer, being named after the people who oppress me (Walker 3), and is the reason
Dee changed her name similar to the name of her male companion. In addition, the name Dee and her
male friend currently obtain is from an arabian language corresponding to the reasoning behind Dee
first approaching her mother with Wa su zo Tean o, a term unfamiliar to the mother s vocabulary. The
symbolism behind the new name and language represent that the daughter once known by
Mrs.Johnson is deceased and is continuing to break away from her family s distant past heritage.
Wangero obtains a lack of appreciation for

Persuasive Advertising Strategy
An advertisement is usually thought of as promotion and generally the main goal is to generate money,
however, that is not always the case. There are many genres of advertisement such as marketing,
persuasion, or encouragement in which all have similar, yet different, goals and purposes. A marketing
advertisement main motive is to sell a product. This can be achieved through many common
advertising techniques such as claims, repetition, association, bandwagon, or promotion, to name a
few. Persuasion and encouragement advertisement may also be projected by these techniques as well,
but there may be a different goal. Persuasive advertising could also tie into marketing as well being
that some ads try to sway consumers into buying their company s product. Encouragement and
persuasive ads may also go hand and hand with each other as well. These types of ads are usually less
about money and more about getting a point across to the people. Well known examples of this is a
Click it or Ticket it commercial or an advertisement telling people to stop smoking. Every company
has a specific goal in mind and
BMW is a Germany based company that specializes in the production of automobiles and
motorcycles. Typically, the consumers are more likely of an upper class rather than a lower
class.BMW s are usually purchased by those that are middle aged or older those who are older in age.

Alexis De Tocqueville s Political Writings
In 1776, the United States Declaration of Independence swore to life, liberty, and the pursuit of
happiness for all those that live in America. In 1787, the Constitution of the United States granted the
security of the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity . It s blatantly obvious that the
history of America, up until Alexis de Tocqueville wrote Democracy in America, had any of those
attributes been granted wholly. Liberty is relatable to the State of Nature, John Locke describes in his
Political Writings. Liberty is a state of entire freedom in thought, practice, mores, etc. Tocqueville
argues that Liberty is a boundary, an imaginative idea, and almost an unreachable goal in the
Democratic state of America. Tocqueville ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The majority is relatable to the power of estates in the part aristocratic democratic France following
the French Revolution. Whereas, people are unified with their class and power is held within those
who relate to each other. Unlike France, the makeup of the American public is more gentrified to one
type living with a makeup of different ideologies. He states, by coming closer together, they seem to
have found new reasons to hate each other (Tocqueville, 22) America thus forms a majority to
terminate the inconstancies among the state of equality and to faction the population. Tocqueville first
argues the challenge of the majority, freedom of association has become a necessary guarantee against
the tyranny of the majority...the minority must resist the material power that oppresses it...one danger
is set against another more to be feared (Tocqueville, 307). Therefore, there are limitations to the
majority but, it is hard to overcome them as the majority is most powerful. He then describes the
omnipotence of the majority and their power within the law. Ultimately, the majority has the power to
decide what is just and therefore, limit the rights of others (Tocqueville, 410). He states, to preserve
liberty, several principles can be mixed together in the same government...when a society truth comes

Militarization Of Law Enforcement
Over the past few decades there has been a drastic shift towards an almost completely militarized
police force around the world. Local, national and even international law enforcement agencies are
militarizing to face modern day threats. Law enforcement agencies around the world have been forced
to militarize in order to properly respond to the ever growing arsenals of terrorist and criminal
enterprises. This will be examined through looking at the globalization of militarizing police forces,
the violent criminal, problems with the militarized force, use of the military equipment, and finally the
justification for using military equipment.
When the evolution and globalization of the arms race hit the civilian and black market it provided the

SWAT teams were created in the late 1960s as quasi militaristic squads capable of addressing serious
and violent situations that presented imminent threats such as riots, barricade and hostage scenarios,
and active shooter or sniper situations (Dansky, p66). The multitude of situations that the SWAT teams
were created to handle are not due to theoretical situations, they were created because these situations
have happened before and the law enforcement community needed a specialized response team to
handle them. In addition to this some countries created these specialized teams in response to events
that happened, for example New Zealand established the AOS as a result of the killing of four officers
within a month (Kappeler, p2). The fact that the entire globe is militarizing helps law enforcement
agencies around the world assist each other in training and techniques so everyone can stay current on
all of the potential threats from transnational criminal organizations. Like professor Wonders said in

Economic Value Added:
In the decade to 2003 the pharmaceutical industry witnessed high value mergers and acquisitions7.
With a projected stock value growth rate of 10.5% (2003 2010) and Health Care growth rate of 12.5%
(2003 2010), the audited value of the global pharmaceutical market is estimated to reach a huge 500
billion dollars by 2004. Only information technology has a higher expected growth rate of 12.6%.
Majority of pharmaceutical sales originate in the US, EU and
Japanese markets. Nine geographic markets account for over 80% of global pharmaceutical sales these
are, US, Japan, France, Germany, UK, Italy, Canada, Brazil and Spain. Of these markets, the US is the
fastest growing market and since 1995 it has accounted for close to 60% of global sales. In 2000 alone
the US market grew by 16% to $133 billion dollars making it a key strategic market for
pharmaceuticals.
The Social Dimension:
Good health is an important personal and social requirement and the unique role pharmaceutical firms
play in meeting society s need for popular wellbeing cannot be underestimated. In recent times, the
impact of various global epidemics e.g. SARS, AIDS etc has also attracted popular and media

Advantages and Problems of Genetically Modified Agricultural Crops
Genetically Modified food (GM) is most commonly used to refer to crop plants created for human or
animal consumption, using the latest molecular biology techniques. These plants have been modified
in the laboratory to enhance desired traits such as increased resistance to herbicides or improved
nutritional content. Genetic engineering can create plants with the extract desired trait, both accurately
and rapidly. For example frost can destroy sensitive seedlings, an antifreeze gene from cold water fish

Environmental hazards, human health risks, and economic concerns.
Some Christians object in principle to genetically modified food, as an unacceptable intervention in
God s creation violating barriers in the natural world. Others see the potential for using God s gift of
our technical skills, but with strong provisos, on matters of food safety and environmental risk.
Christians believe that all of God s creatures are much more than their genes. Ethical problems may
arise for certain types of gene, for example animal genes for a vegetarian or pig genes for a Jew or
Muslim. GM has huge potential for mankind in medicine, agriculture and food. In food, the real

Jackson Vs Perseus
The story Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief and the Olympians is a similar modern day telling to
the Danaüs, Perseus and the Gorgon through events, archetypes and theme.
The two heroes in these story go through very similar events. Both Percy Jackson and Perseus fight
medusa but in different scenarios. In the text of Perseus s story it says, Perseus swooped down, and
with one deft stroke he cut off the Medusa s head. (D aulaires, 118) In Percy Jackson and the
Lightning Thief, Percy Jackson and his friends fight Medusa in a garden store that is filled with
statues. (Percy Jackson) This modernizes the older story because it is more realistic that Medusa
would hide in an area full of statues, since Medusa turns people into stone it is a good hiding place for
her. They both saved their mom from an evil/bad man. In the text it said, As soon as the king had
gotten rid of Perseus, he had tired to carry Danaë. (D aulaires, 120) In Percy Jackson and the

Liberalism and Realism Essay
Realism and Liberalism are two extremely prominent theories of international relations. These
doctrines exhibit sagacious perceptions about war, foreign affairs and domestic relations. The
fundamental principles of protocol in which we rely upon aren t always apprehensive (Karle, Warren,

noteworthy dominance about the concepts of international affairs. In analyzing this data, you will

Realism has been very effective in helping scholars understand the international system through the
concepts of altruism, survival, and self help. Realists believed that there are no codes of conduct in
which all states may guide their own actions. They believed that a state must be cognizant of the
events of the states evolved and that one must use a pragmatic approach to solve imminent issues.
They desired states to have supreme power over themselves in order to actively engage in the use and
expansion of military preeminence. George Evans and Jeffrey Newnham (Graham Evans and
Newnham, 1998) composed in their dictionary, that his fundamental outlying attainment of authority
is appropriate, lucid, and is a highly anticipated ambition of foreign policy. Realism is branded a
pessimistic view in that they argue that states will amass alliances to guarantee equal power giving no
state dictatorship (Rosenberg, Justin, 1990). The moral outlook of Realists was established by parodies
subsequently identifying their morality as a denunciation of polite mannerisms in fictional stories; for
example, Harper Lee s novel, To Kill a Mockingbird . The highlights of the trial of this book in the

Character Analysis Of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof
The 1950s is a time well known for the introduction of colour television, the Corvette sports car, and
rock and rollers. Along with this new stream of optimism was a focus on family result from the end of
the world war 2 .They were more people starting to get married and the birth rate has a sharp increase
that became known as the baby boom phase. In the 1950s, media, magazines, and books were used as
messages to instil the idea of the perfect family and life into the minds of Americans. Cat on a Hot Tin
Roof came out in 1955 and tells the story of a Southern family in dealing with its various struggles.
One of the story s most vital characters is a woman, Maggie. Maggie is struggling to live up to the role
of the ideal 1950s housewife in a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A showy and occasionally inappropriate woman, Big Mama is just like Maggie in that both are
married to men who cannot stand them. Big Mama is openly devoted to her husband, and throughout
their whole marriage, she has stood by him. Despite Big Daddy s frequent insults, Big Mama refuses
to become offended and does not allow the marriage to fall apart. The difference between Maggie and
Big Mama is that although Big Mama has a very hard marriage, she has had children and served her
husband well. A good wife s role was to serve her husband s comfort and know her place. The man
was the master of the house, and therefore it was inappropriate for the woman to complain to her
husband and talk about her problems. Listening to the man was important because his conversation
topics were the most important. A problem Maggie has is that although she wants to be an ideal wife
and mother, she does not carry out all parts of the expectation. She is stubborn and against to taking
into account what Brick wants, and she continuously complains and fights with him. Big Mama on the
other hand is a piteous character in that she is so desperate to stay away from problems and argument
that she embarrasses herself in order to avoid them. This is why, although Maggie and Big Mama

Osiris Role In Ancient Egyptian Religion
Osiris was a god who originates from ancient Egypt. Osiris is most famous for being the patron deity
of death, the afterlife, and resurrection, but this was not always the case. As stated in Isis character
summary, Osiris was formerly the patron of civilization and advancement preceding his untimely
murder at the hands of Seth, his evil and dastardly brother. After Osiris demise, the civilization god
transformed into the god of death and the afterlife. Though Osiris death did cause a shift in what he
oversaw, his role as the god of the underworld played a major and influential part in the ancient
Egyptian religion. His influence stretches from the time a person dies and is properly buried in a
sarcophagus to when they stand before the 42 assessor gods who are each ... Show more content on

These declarations of innocence exhibit what ancient Egyptians thought were actions that would make
someone impure and socially dirty. Even after endless trials and ordeals the deceased must undergo,
Osiris still has full authority over who can be admitted to his realm and who s soul will dissipate and
cease to exist. Osiris is described as a male who adorns an Atef Crown, which is a primitive Egyptian
symbol for rule of the underworld. Green black skin covers the outer layers of this divinity, and in his
hand he holds an ostrich feather, which is similar to an Ankh in its meaning, and a crook and flail.
These two objects are commonly seen as symbols of Osiris. The crook, which is the curved object in
Osiris right hand that is similar to the sickle in its shape, is defined as a sign of kingship, and the flail,
which is an agrarian tool that Osiris holds in his left hand, is defined as a sign of the fertility of
Egyptian land. These two objects show the kingship and power that Osiris held over the souls he held

New York Yankees Game Analysis
What has happened to the New York Yankees? For a franchise that has the second highest payroll
behind the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Yankees are struggling mightily.
The pinstripes are 9 16 this season and seem to have a ton of questions regarding player personnel.
The Yankees have several aging veterans, including Carlos Beltran, Alex Rodriguez, Mark Teixeira
and C.C. Sabathia, all of whom are 35 years or older. While the roster is aging, New York has a fairly
young pitching staff that includes Luis Severino, Nathan Eovaldi, Michael Pineda, Masahiro Tanaka
and Ivan Nova, all of whom are under the age of 30. Aside Tanaka (2.87 ERA) and Sabathia (3.81
ERA), the youthful pitching staff has struggled to find its rhythm in 2016. Eovaldi, Severino ... Show

Starlin Castro, who the Yankees acquired from the Chicago Cubs in December, has been an upgrade
from Stephen Drew at second base, batting .284 with three home runs and 12 RBIs this season.
For all the doom and gloom, the Yankees bullpen has been a bright. Entering the 2016 season, the
back end of New York s bullpen was arguably the best in baseball, on paper. The stalwarts are Andrew
Miller, Dellin Betances and closer Aroldis Chapman, who the Yankees acquired in a trade with the
Cincinnati Reds in December. Betances has been shaky on occasion (2.92 ERA), but he s picked up
where he left off last season, showing his worth as a solid setup man. As he was a season ago, Miller
has been spectacular closing games this season, with five saves in 10 innings pitched and no earned
runs allowed.
In March, Chapman was suspended for the first 30 games of the season under MLB s new Joint
Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse policy. When he returns to the Yankees bullpen,
Chapman should further boost the backend of the

I Am The Messenger
I Am the Messenger is a great book that tells of a guy named Ed, who loves to play cards, but
suddenly starts getting messages in the mail that are marked on playing cards.. Ed is practically a
nobody not having much educational success, his father died some time ago and his mother hasn t had
great success in life either. The story basically starts off with a bank robbery, Ed and his friend Marv
are at the bank when the gunman arrives and demands to Marv his car keys. The gunman gets the keys
and jumps into the car, in which he drops his gun, Ed then takes the gun and holds down the gunman
until the cops arrive. At the trial, Ed testifies against him, and as they pass each other the Gunman tells
Ed, Every time you look in the mirror, remember you are looking at a dead man . This starts Ed s
journey. Ed lives alone in his apartment (that is owned by his boss) with his dog named the Doorman
and Ed is a cab driver. He is insanely in love with his friend, Audrey and it is clear that she loves him
back but they won t embrace their feelings. Several times a week, Ed, Marv, Audrey, and a close
friend named Ritchie play cards together. Soon after Ed anonymously receives his first playing card,
Ace of diamonds. Written on it are three addresses (it s always three) Edgar street, Harrison Avenue,
and Macedoni Street. The first address is at an old house where a man that gets drunk every night
comes home and beats his wife, leading to their daughter coming outside to cry. At the

Blaise Pascal, A 17Th Century Philosopher Known For His
Blaise Pascal, a 17th century philosopher known for his work Pensées, or The Thoughts, serves as a
voice of human limitation. Throughout his aphorisms, he clearly expresses the limitations of man as
he refers to man s inconstancy, boredom, [and] anxiety and claims that man should know [his]
nothingness (Pascal 33, 28) Pascal holds a pessimistic view towards man s position in the world and
ultimately deems man to be utter(ly) worthless (Pascal vii). Pascal s disappointment towards the
limitations of mankind ultimately causes him to contradict the beliefs of Descartes who strives to find
just one thing, however slight, that is certain and unshaken in order to distinguish true from false with
absolute certainty by identifying a firm, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Infinitely far from grasping the extremes, the end of things and their beginning are for him invincibly
hidden in an impenetrable secret; and he is equally incapable of seeing the nothingness out of which
he is drawn, and the infinite in which he is swallowed up. (Pascal 5) Pascal views the human condition
through a substantially dark, pessimistic perspective. He believes man holds an incredibly
insubstantial position in the world, for he is limited in all respects and merely occupies a sort of mid
position between nothing and everything (Pascal 7). Man lives a short life that stands as a mid point
between the eternity that precedes him and the eternity that will follow him. Man has no way of
knowing for certain what came before him or what will come after him; after all, how could such a
small, fragile, perishable, and limited thing have any certain knowledge of anything vast,
imperishable, and unlimited? The nature of man is to be nothing more than a part of a whole, and if
man studied himself, he would see how incapable he is of going beyond himself (Pascal 8). Man,
according to Pascal, refuses to accept his puniness and limitations. We refuse to accept that our very
nature is minuscule and limited in the grand scheme of eternity. Is not the duration of our life still
infinitesimal within eternity, even if ten years be added to it? (Pascal 8). Unlike the infinite, we are
finite, perishable

Capital Punishment is Cruel And Unusual Essay
The following description of Evans s electrocution was sworn to and verified by Russell F. Canan on
June 22, 1983:
The first jolt of 1900 volts of electricity passed through Mr. Evans body. It lasted thirty seconds.
Sparks and flame erupted from the electrode tied to his leg. His body slammed against the straps
holding him in the electric chair and his fist clenched permanently. A large puff of grayish smoke and
sparks poured out from under the hood that covered his face. An overpowering stench of burnt flesh
and clothing began pervading the witness room. Two doctors examined Mr. Evans and declared that
he was not dead. The electrode on the left leg was refastened. At 8:30 p.m. [sic] Mr. Evans was

Assuming that the killer is capable of such reasoning shows us the arrogance of our kind. In fact, those
who commit violent crimes often do so in moments of passion, rage and fear times when irrationality
reigns (Information, Capital Punishment 107). Killing a human being as prevention to crime is, in
essence, using a human being as a means rather than an ends.
Other Christians I previously spoke to believe that, the killer s actions are irreversible and that such a
crime deserves an equal punishment . These same people would cite the biblical passage that exhorts
an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth . However, if a crime deserves equal punishment, then why do
we not rape the rapist or burn the arsonist? A civilized society must be based on values and principles
that are higher than those it condemns. Biblically, we are called to live by higher values. In the New
Testament, Jesus said that we may have heard it said an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth but He
instructed us to turn the other cheek (Matthew 5:38 41) to love even our enemies (Matthew 5:43 45),
to obey the Ten Commandments which tell us not to kill (Exodus 20:13) and not to put ourselves into
the position of God by judging whether others live or die (John 8:7). Vengeance and retribution are to
be left to God, who is the only One with the perfect capabilities of judgment. If the argument is that

attention, wants to be with his or her parent/parents, or is lost, the staff in these respective rooms is
required to use a pager to let out that information to people that are in charge of the sound system and,
that information is shared on the television screens inside the church, even if the sermon or worship is
going on. On another note, if the pager does not work, the staff serving at the welcome desk is
responsible for letting out that information in the same way asking sound system operators to

The main door to the church auditorium opens to the south of the coffee lab. A nursing room for
mothers is adjacent to the right side of the main auditorium. People who choose not to attend the

the coffee lab are either busy listening to the sermon, hanging out in the space taking care of their
personal businesses, talking, eating or drinking or the kids are seen moving about and mothers

The Use Of Veterinary Antibiotics
The widely used growth promoters are Antibiotics. It can be defined as any medicines that destroy or
inhibit bacterial growth and are administered at a low sub therapeutic dosage (Hughes and Heritage,
2004).
There are various types of veterinary antibiotics (VA) like natural, synthetic compounds with different
antimicrobial activity are normally administered orally (Phillips et al., 2004). These are used for
disease control or as feed additives and synthetic growth promoters (SGP) in various sectors such as
livestock farming, aquaculture and agricultural activities (Aust et al., 2008, Gao et al., 2012; Zuccato
et al., 2010).

In European countries 45% practitioners prescribed antibiotic for respiratory diseases in cattle, 29%
for diarrhoea in cattle and pigs and 31% for locomotion disorders in cattle. (De Briyne, Atkinson,

The use of antibiotics in food animal production offers proven benefits in animal health and
production, as well as a reduction of foodborne pathogens (Mathew et al., 2007).
A main concern for human health is the development of antibiotic resistance in bacteria that can cause
disease in humans. While misuse of antibiotics in human medicine is a major cause of this problem,
antibiotic resistance originating from the use of antimicrobial growth promoter in animals is a factor
that can aggravate this global human health issue (WHO FAO, 2015).
However, the over use, misuse or lack of control in administration of antibiotics results in a high
accumulation of antibiotics in the animal and its excretion to the environment. Harmful effects of
antimicrobial growth promoter in feedstuffs on animals may occur if the compound has a low margin
of safety in that species or if it adversely interacts with other medicines or microbial effects (McEvoy
2002).
Chowdhury, Haque, Islam, Khaleduzzaman, (2009) reported that, In Bangladesh, various types of
antimicrobial drugs are available in the market and only a few companies mention the withdrawal
period of their product in packet. Farmers are not so much

Virtue Ethics And Care Ethics
As various ethical theories continue to be debated, it can be difficult to determine which model
provides the best criteria. However, two theories in particular virtue ethics and care ethics, have
continued to catch much attention since the mid twentieth century. Although each of these theories are
often associated with one another, they both contain their own distinct philosophies. As a result, it is
important to clearly understand what each theory entails before concluding that one is derived from
the other. Although virtue ethics and care ethics share similar beliefs and rejections, virtue ethics is
clearly separate from care ethics. Virtue ethics, tracing its roots back to the Middle Ages, stresses the
importance of an individual being virtuous, which comes from developing a virtuous personal
character. It also allows for the possibility of many right choices, since virtuous people can make
choices differently. Aristotle was the only person to come up with a clear cut virtue theory. He
believed that people should be virtuous in order to achieve happiness, or eudaimonia. Additionally,
Aristotle found that in order to become virtuous, a person must know the right thing, intend the right
thing, and have their actions stem from their established character. He also came up with term golden
mean , which seeks to achieve a balance in one s virtues. For instance, Aristotle felt that one should
find a balance of anger. When seeking a balance of anger, it is

This is also an issue because OCI can always lower the price of its own brand to create more sales.
Chin must think about who would spend more on PPI s brand when OCI has a similar quality for a
lower price?
Another issue is that there are many competitors out there. These competitors are hungry for business
and they are willing to undercut PPI s price and loose profit just for the business. She must look at
what the competitors are offering to the consumers so she can see if she can cut PPI s price down to
match the competitors price while continuing to maintain an acceptable profit.
Central Problem
After evaluating a number of issues that affect PPI it all comes to one central problem, how can Chin
keep OCI at a relevant level of sales without loosing business to competitors? This includes deciding
on the details of a contract, compromising company policy, forming a buying contract with OCI, and
considering other market options. Diane needs to present the benefits of contracting with OCI to the
president of PPI. He could then see what difference contracting could make and what can be lost if
deciding not to form a contract with OCI. This needs to be done by showing the contrast between
different implications for accepting and denying OCI s request while stressing benefits of contracting.
There is a chance for redesigning company policy if the presentation impresses the

A Successful Intervention Initiated By The Government For...
Help:
A successful intervention initiated by the Government for obesity is that food calories, carbohydrates,
fat, saturates, protein, sugar and salt are placed on all food packets. Customers can see exactly what is
in the food and how it relates to their daily amount. So, I would further this idea to the environmental
problem. On packages supermarkets can display the statistics for how much greenhouse gases each
meat product has produced and how many resources were needed to make it. This intervention is
aimed at creating awareness of everything that goes on in the meat industry. In turn, people can see
how much harm their meat is causing and cut down their meat to reduce their impact on the
environment, leading to reduced sales, demand of meat and a reduction on their impact on the
environment. This intervention can also initiate a need for meat companies to put more effort into
using alternative eco friendly methods to reduce their harmful impact on the planet. With the amount
of CO2 and resources shown on their products customers will be able to compare the environmental
impacts that different companies cause. With people s knowledge of diet and the environment
increased they will choose which brand products to buy by carefully considering their environmental
impact. This will lead companies into wanting to get their environmental impact down to become
more popular to the customer. As well as being an intervention for knowledge, this should also affect

  • 2. My Group s Strongest Moment Of Creative Collaboration I think my group s strongest moment of creative collaboration was when we taught the lesson to the class. I think it flowed smoothly, everyone talked an equal amount, and that we were engaged and made the class think about our topic in a new way. I was a rocky road leading up to the lesson but it made me happy that it ended so perfectly and it made the entire struggle worthwhile. During Thanksgiving break as well as the weekend before the class before break, I think the creative collaboration was at an all time low. I remember looking at the site and even though I wasn t there in class seeing that I was the only one who had done anything on the website and it was supposed to be due that day. It was a super frustrating moment for me, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I would remind my group when there was a deadline, when we were falling behind, and I would do all the things I could that need to be done. I was the one who made the outline for the website, and who set up everything so it was easily accessible for a user of our website (pages, links etc.). My group mates did demonstrate amazing leadership abilities in their own way. Ingrid kept a positive, uplifting attitude throughout the whole project, and Bri kept us realistic about our goals and our final product. This was the first project I ve done in a really long time, where I felt like the weight of it was mostly on my shoulders. I thought it was a good wakeup call because I m not a natural born leader, but I was able to utilize the skills that I have in order to keep the project going, and my group on task. My group needed someone to help guide them, so that is what I did. I think my biggest struggle, which isn t listed on the collaboration lists, was patience. I became very frustrated with my group and the, what I perceived to be, lack of effort from my group. I learned however, that everyone works at his or her own pace, and that it s important to be patient when waiting for the work to get done. Being willing to engage with the differences that emerge was also a problematic area of focus for me, because in all honesty I like to work alone and I m used to carrying out my own personal ideas and not having criticism from anyone else. Through his large scale paintings and sculptures Marshall embodies the history and culture of African Americans to reflect on the lives and identity of African Americans, what it means to be an African American, and how the answers to these questions changed over time. His painting Souvenir 1 creates a sort of memorial with historical figures such as JFK and MLK on the walls of an old but fancy house. The house appears as a historically white person type home that slaves and black people would typically serve in. The room painted in the picture as a light energy to it with the use of white and light colors contrasted by the black subject with gold glitter wings. The gold glitter wings symbolize the freedom blacks earned because of the death of the historical figures represented in the figures subtly. Because of the historical figures in the painting, laws were passed and people were inspired. However, historically, just because laws were passed and people were inspired, didn t mean automatic change, it didn t mean complete freedom. That s what this painting represents, freedom at a grasp. The black people received their wings( the laws, the courage, the platform) to fly due to the deaths of many represented and unrepresented figures, but did they fly, can they fly? Another piece that stood out with its Adam and Eve type mimicry is the painting Vignette. This picture depicts two relatively young fit black figures, a boy and a girl running through an outside area with trees, naked with butterflies and birds surrounding them, natural hair flying through the wind ... Symbolism In Everyday Use By Alice Walker Alice Walker, a pulitzer prize winning and African American novelist, publishes the short literary work entitled Everyday Use, examines the issue on how the main character in the story, who is African American, is blinding herself from the importance of her heritage and culture. In the story, Dee Johnson is returning home to her large, big boned mother and her nervous sister Maggie, that are awaiting her arrival in their extended living room outside. Anticipating Dee s homecoming, Mrs.Johnson commemorates the fire burning down their original home over ten years ago, making Dee pleased since she strongly despises the old household. It s blatantly obvious that the history of America, up until Alexis de Tocqueville wrote Democracy in America, had any of those attributes been granted wholly. Liberty is relatable to the State of Nature, John Locke describes in his Political Writings. SWAT teams were created in the late 1960s as quasi militaristic squads capable of addressing serious and violent situations that presented imminent threats such as riots, barricade and hostage scenarios, and active shooter or sniper situations (Dansky, p66). The multitude of situations that the SWAT teams were created to handle are not due to theoretical situations, they were created because these situations have happened before and the law enforcement community needed a specialized response team to handle them. In addition to this some countries created these specialized teams in response to events that happened, for example New Zealand established the AOS as a result of the killing of four officers within a month (Kappeler, p2). The fact that the entire globe is militarizing helps law enforcement agencies around the world assist each other in training and techniques so everyone can stay current on all of the potential threats from transnational criminal organizations. However, two theories in particular virtue ethics and care ethics, have continued to catch much attention since the mid twentieth century. Although each of these theories are often associated with one another, they both contain their own distinct philosophies. As a result, it is important to clearly understand what each theory entails before concluding that one is derived from the other. Although virtue ethics and care ethics share similar beliefs and rejections, virtue ethics is clearly separate from care ethics. Virtue ethics, tracing its roots back to the Middle Ages, stresses the importance of an individual being virtuous, which comes from developing a virtuous personal character. It also allows for the possibility of many right choices, since virtuous people can make choices differently. Aristotle was the only person to come up with a clear cut virtue theory. He believed that people should be virtuous in order to achieve happiness, or eudaimonia. Additionally, Aristotle found that in order to become virtuous, a person must know the right thing, intend the right thing, and have their actions stem from their established character.
