This brief introduction was given at the first Utah PowerApps & Flow User Group meeting in September 2019. These slides provide a very brief introduction to the Power Platform and were followed up by demos of actual applications that had been built leveraging the platform.
With every new Microsoft announcement, it is clear that PowerApps is evolving to be Cloud Business Application platform of choice. New changes are merging Canvas and Model Driven worlds thus providing unified tool/platform to solve business problems. That is why Comtrade has developed Business ToolBox - several everyday small business applications to support this path and customers.
This is a presentation from Sinergija 19. Presentation is covering platform overview, step-by-step process of application creation and tackle licensing changes and benefits.
Microsoft Flow is a new service (currently in preview) that helps you to build connection between different services and apps. You can create several workflows using available templates in O365 to do specific tasks like sending e-mail notifications to an app or sending messages at specific schedules.
In this session you will get an overview of what Microsoft Flow can do for you and how to create your own custom workflows easily using easy to learn visual designer tools.
Custom APIs with Powerapps and Microsoft FlowMalin De Silva
Custom APIs allow PowerApps to connect your own logic and extend the business app capabilities. Microsoft Flow allows creating flows that connect multiple services.
Slides used during 2016 edition of SharePoint Saturday Toronto to present Microsoft PowerApps and how easy it is to create application from Azure SQL, Microsoft CRM and SharePoint Content.
PowerApps plays a major part in Microsoft Business Application Platform Innovation by providing an easy way for the Power Users to build apps that are integrated with Business data. In this session I explored the overall picture on PowerApps with two demos.

Introduction to Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Flow)Sam Fernando
Applications need to get leaner and smarter to adapt to changing business needs. Microsoft's Power Platform provides a great set of tools to develop you next generation business application that is feature rich with Smart AI and integration capabilities.
Microsoft Flow pared with PowerApps will create the ultimate app for your workforce that enables them to smart efficiently regardless of what they do and where they work from. PowerApps and Flow provides a unified platform that will let you innovate faster and integrate seamlessly.
The slide deck for the Power Platform Presentation in SQL Saturday Redmond 2019. We have reviewed the power Platform Components, why is it better together and how to make it happen. During the demo all the options of implementation between the Power Apps and PowerBI were demonstrated. Including the data visualization changes with new data feed. Use some of the following ideas in your organization and POC's for more complex implementations.
HOW CAN POWERAPPS AND MICROSOFT FLOW ALLOWS YOUR POWER USERS TO QUICKLY BUILD...Sandro Pereira
Every organization faces constant pressure to do more with less. While technology is often the key to operating more effectively and efficiently, cost and complexity have often prevented organizations from taking maximum advantage of the potential benefits. The growth of SaaS (software as a service) has lowered barriers – no need to deploy servers or to install and configure complex software systems. Just sign up and go.
Microsoft Flow and Microsoft PowerApps will help these people (normally business users) achieve more.
We know not every business problem can be solved with off-the-shelf solutions. But developing custom solutions has traditionally been too costly and time-consuming for many of the needs teams and departments face, especially those projects that integrate across multiple data sources or require delivery across multiple devices from desktop to mobile. As a result, too many technology needs end up unsolved or under-optimized. We piece together spreadsheets, email chains, SharePoint or/and manual processes to fill in the gaps.
PowerApps and Microsoft Flow are both aimed squarely at these gaps. They give people who best understand their needs and challenges the power to quickly meet them, without the time, complexity and cost of custom software development.
In this session, we will look at these two new offering from Microsoft: PowerApps and Flow. What are they? How can I use it? But special we will walk through and create from scratch some live demos showing how to create Enterprise Mobile Application that easily connects with all your enterprise platforms like Office36, SharePoint Online, Dynamic CRM, on-premise SQL, Social Networks and much more and also how they can automate some common tasks using the new Microsoft Flow.
SPC2019 - Integrate Power Platform with SharePoint an end to-end real life sc...Patrick Guimonet
In this session we will demonstrate how we can use the Power Platform (Power BI, Flow, PowerApps) to build a complete business solution with data stored in SharePoint lists. We will use as example a projects lifecycle site. It's a SharePoint Online site where we can manage the lifecycle of projects, from request, to approval, to development, to final review. A project requestor, such as a department head, requests an IT project by adding an item to a SharePoint list. A project approver, such as an IT manager, reviews the project, and then approves it or rejects it. If approved, the project is assigned to a project manager, and additional detail is added to a second list through the same app. A business analyst reviews current and completed projects using a Power BI report embedded in SharePoint. Microsoft Flow is used to send approval email and respond to Power BI alerts.
Power Apps - With great power comes great responsibilitySriram Hariharan
In this session, René will shed some light on PowerApps from an integration perspective. This session will start of with a general introduction to PowerApps and how this platform tries to address the "business app innovation gap". Once these basics are out of the way, we will have a closer look at the design mistakes which are bound to happen, leading to tightly coupled business apps, and how we as integration specialist can help prevent them from happening.
Powerapps is a tool provided by Microsoft to its office365 customers that allows users at all level of computer expertise to create powerful apps that connect data from various sources and present it in a meaningful way.
Power automate a workflow automation platform Amit Kumawat
In order to automate the workflows, implementing business logics, and model the process across wide range of connected data sources and services, Microsoft made certain updates to its Power Platform and further renamed Microsoft Flow as Power Automate.

SQL Server 2016 has added new functionality to natively work with this increasingly important data exchange format. We will take a look at what JSON is, how to validate it, the querying support that has been added to T-SQL, and how you can export the results of your queries as JSON documents. You can also store JSON in SQL Server columns and query against it - even using an index! Come learn how easy it can be to work with JSON data inside your database.

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.
